Opinion from outside IE
I am writing a review because I purchased these tyres by reading the feedback from the forum here. Now it's time to return the favor. I had the Pirelli P6 tyres fitted from the factory (they came 1st in the ADAC test). I'm not rich, but these Pirelli's bothered me so much (this is the second and of course the last!) that I changed the tyres with 5mm tread! (The guy at the garage was surprised). Dunlop is a sensational tyre! It is exactly what I expected. Quiet (my car is a class more comfortable than on pirellis), no rumble. Handling on wet or dry is great (in the test they say it's not as good on wet, but I think they mean 180 - 200 (I don't drive that fast). At 140 - 150 in heavy rain on the motorway without a stutter - before (on potentially better pirellis) I couldn't drive like that. Rolling resistance is higher - yes, it's true. But it doesn't bother me at all. Final evaluation: comfort great, safety excellent, no teething, handling very good in sporty driving. The weakness of my opinion is that I am not testing these tyres for sporty driving in the dry. It's obvious that the mid-range car class and tyres in this price range are not for that. Oh, these were the first dunlop and I was a bit scared. I recommend them and do not regret spending 880 PLN without a clear need (pirelli are lying unused - and let them lie - that is where they belong). Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres by suggesting reviews on tyre.com and here's what I can say about them after the first thousand km. Previously, I was driving the Pirelli P6 and immediately after fitting them and leaving the garage I felt that I was driving a car of a higher class. On the Pirelli I could feel every small bump in the road, and here it is quiet and calm. The car flows on the road. This must mean that they are soft, which I felt on the motorway. A week earlier, driving on Pirelli tyres, my car reached its maximum speed of 188 km/h, while on Dunlop tyres it reached 177 km/h (very comparable conditions over a distance of 100 km). In the city I do not feel any difference in speed, but the maximum is lower. I don't drive at maximum speed every day, so the disadvantage is minor. However, as I wrote the comfort is great. When entering a sharp bend I also feel the difference that this is a tyre for quiet and comfortable driving rather than for sport, because it seems that the tyre wraps around the rim (although it keeps the car on its track). As for abrasion, it's hard to say for now, but one can assume that its softness will cause it to wear quite quickly. But something for something. Driving in the rain is strange, the grip is good but you have to be vigilant. Generally, I recommend it for those who value driving comfort. Read more Collapse

I can honestly recommend this tyre! I have it on my Golf 3 1.9 TDI 90 KM hatchback. In the dry, the tyres grip well in corners and do not squeal when starting off, braking is excellent. They have withstood a bend in two steel rims, i.e. there was a small hole in the side of the tyre but the vulcaniser said it could be easily repaired. In the rain they slip just a little bit when starting off and braking hard, but it is noticeable. It's the same with side slip, you can feel the moment when the wheel slips a little. Even with the handbrake on, it's almost impossible to get them into a long side slip, I've yet to do it. You can clearly feel them sticking to the tarmac. Unfortunately, there is also rolling resistance, a tyre that grips the road well must have a lot of resistance. The tyres are quiet and grip the road well, but they are not winter tyres. Wear... I can't tell yet, so far I can't see any wear. I've heard that they wear out quite quickly, but here too I think that something for something. In my opinion, these are one of the best tyres, next to michelin, and a bit cheaper than them. I recommend them. I am now going to buy winter tires and I am hesitating between Dunlop Winter Response and Goodyear Ultra Grip 7+ and I think I will choose Dunlop too. Read more Collapse

I will share my opinion because based on the reviews found here, I decided to purchase these tyres. I can only confirm most of the qualities already described by the predecessors. These are good tyres and the technical description really does convey their qualities well, particularly the reference to powerful engines. Users of vehicles with weak engine power will quickly feel the increased rolling resistance and therefore the increased fuel consumption and loss of vehicle power. Personally I can't confirm that they are noisy, I find them quiet across the speed range, comfortable - so much so that immediately after the conversion it felt like the suspension had undergone a "rapid upgrade". In addition to the excellent all-weather traction, the tyre has thick sidewalls, so it doesn't flex too much on fast bends, which is more or less an indicator of its sportiness. It also has another feature that I have personally tested, in the event of a puncture the rim is supported by the shoulder of the tyre to such an extent that the vehicle remains calm until it comes to a safe stop. It does not like ruts, when you enter a rut the car necessarily wants to follow the track. This will be particularly appreciated by owners of slightly more powerful cars. Read more Collapse

As promised at the end of the season, a review of the tyre after 24,000 km.Advantages - decent handling in dry and wet, no complaints, many things so obvious that I do not write about them, but there are two obvious shortcomings of this tyre. Wear and tear, after driving almost 24k km, as I mentioned earlier, the tyre has lost 2.5 - 3 mm at the front and about 1.7 - 2 mm at the rear. In my opinion this is a lot, especially as it has only been on the motorways twice in Germany, mostly at max speeds of 150-160 km/h. In my opinion, the tyre wear is significant, because one more summer season and... the tyre may be dead. In my opinion, 50,000 km per tyre is too little. Another disadvantage is that the tyre behaves characteristically in ruts, when it enters them or drives on them it jumps and it is difficult to get the car out of them gently and lastly, NOISE. In addition, the tyres are extremely soft, I pulled out of the flats some pebbles of carbon, graphite, some shiny black mineral, that bite into the channels of the grooves. It is understandable, but to bite into a flat surface? It means soft. I give them an overall score of 4 because maybe safety costs money, tyre longevity and comfort, something for something. Overall a recommendable tyre. For the price (249PLN) there is nothing to complain about:) I had a dilemma as I was also considering the pirelli p7 and goodyear f1. Goodyear fell out when I found out they are made in China, which is a risk I wasn't going to take. The pirelli would probably have been ok but i opted for the dunlop because i have the sp01 predecessor on 2 cars and it is very good. i have not regretted my choice, the car performs very well in the dry, holds the road like glue and the braking abs have little work to do. The noise level is acceptable, I can't comment on the abrasion, as it's too early, but I've never driven on tyres for more than 3 seasons, so I think they should last. Rolling resistance, hmmm... maybe not the lowest, but you know it has to be there if you want the tyre to stick to the road. I haven't tried other tyres at high speeds, but at 220 km/h these were perfect. As for the wet grip, it's ok. I think maybe even good, but I expected more... I thought the ride would be the same as on dry (good tyres + quatrro) but unfortunately you have to slow down when water flows on the road:) that would be enough. Best regards and to all undecided. I recommend Dunlop. Read more Collapse

After the original Continental 195/R15/91H summer tyres I had on the car I bought from the dealership, I decided to purchase the 2007 novelty, Dunlop SP SPORT FASTRESPONSE 195/65R15 91 V (unknown to me before). I have to say that the tyres, after about 6000 km, are perfect in every way. On dry pavement they perform sensationally, on wet pavement similarly. There is no tendency to drift, no aquaplaning - ABS has never once been forced to engage. Braking is excellent, even in difficult weather conditions. The biggest advantage I have is the noise level. I have driven on many tyres but I have never experienced such quiet tyres. Regardless of the speed - the tyres are practically inaudible - only the rush of air can be heard. Overall a super good purchase. They have a very good tread which disperses water very well in the wet. I feel very comfortable when driving - very flexible and firm at the same time, Dunlop has worked out the details of this tyre. Let's keep it up. I will definitely buy them again when they wear out. I am very satisfied with this purchase. I would recommend these tyres to anyone who is still thinking about making a purchase. Read more Collapse

I put these tyres on the front of my golf 4 tdi estate, after the old continental tyres which were too hard and noisy and could no longer be balanced. The Dunlops are simply (after a short distance (1000km)) great, much better than the conti. They are quiet, comfortable, you can feel the softness of the rubber on bumps, and the car handles superbly, on bends like on rails, even in the wet. I tried to break off the front of the car on a wet bend, but despite high speed I did not manage to do so. So far I can feel more rolling resistance than on the continentals, but this can be determined after a longer distance. At the moment I estimate the consumption to be about 0.4l/100 higher. But there is something for something, you either have harder rubber and low resistance, but slipping in the wet and average comfort, or you need to add some fuel and have a reliable tyre for all conditions. Sometimes, unfortunately, you may miss that one metre or a few slips on the abs. Especially since the car is also driven by a wife and child. I recommend the Dunlop Fast response. I will report back in a month on my experience with this tyre and its economy. Read more Collapse

I travel between 50 and 80 thousand kilometres a year in Poland and Europe, which means that my tyres last practically for one summer and two winter seasons. I have had 205 55 R16 on my cars for several years (9 years now), so it is easy to count how many tyres I have worn. Now it is a Mondeo kombi 2.2 TDCi (155 hp, 360 Nm). Such a powerful diesel can destroy tyres. This tyre is relatively quiet, with a relatively soft tread, so it starts and brakes well and does a good job in the wet. It also has strong sidewalls, so it holds up well in bends and tight corners. And what is important, after 30,000 km they are not particularly worn out. The compromise, of course, is the abrasion of the tyre, which is slightly higher than average. Continentals and Michelins disappeared similarly for me. The Pirelli lasted longer, but was worse in the wet. 40,000 km is the maximum on a powerful car. A weaker car will probably do 10,000 km more. But something for something, excellent traction has to cost something. I highly recommend them. At this price nothing can beat them. Read more Collapse

The previous tyres on the car were the same model and size, I replaced them not because of tread wear but because the car started to skid to the right. On these tyres up to that point it was pleasant to drive, it seemed like a nice tyre. (Well, the tyres had already been used for quite a long time, so they have a right to wear out). I decided to buy the same model in a quantity of 4, the joy of driving lasted extremely short ! After only 500 km a tendency to pull to the right appeared ! after approx. 2000 km it was no longer a tendency, it was simply impossible to drive. The car does not pull on the other sets of tyres! The geometry is set, the car is in good working, combinations of tyres give different results, for example pulling to the left, it seems that all four tyres purchased are wrong ... The complaint was of course not accepted! Unfortunately, after all these experiences and more than 2 thousand PLN wasted, a definite NO for Dunlop fastresponse !!! Two sets of the same tyres, both faulty! Read more Collapse

I bought in 2013, drove about 50 thousand km. Traction I rate highly, the car even at speeds of "German motorways" held the road, in corners entered confidently, both on dry and wet pavement. In the rain behaved unexpectedly well, although a small aquaplaning happened a few times, but without major problems the car regained traction. I rate the sound on average, because subjectively I have the impression that they could be a little quieter. However, it did not bother me at all, I suppose that with a better soundproofed car they will not be heard. Durability is average, they wore out to the rim and got worn out, especially at the back, hence I replace them after 2 seasons. Despite quite high mileage, I think that durable tyres should last at least 3 seasons, so I give a minus for durability. Read more Collapse

Was the use of these tires last summer and I am very impressed. Fantastic tire rising especially in conditions where the road is wet. Braking (no ABS :/) is now no problem, I have a bad experience with the previous set of Debica. Very well maintained, rolling resistance, but there are not very visible, in addition to safety first :) When you buy I was wondering if it is worth spending so much money, and now I understand roads it does not go to waste. Really recommendable Tire, quiet, good cornering grip, perfect for rain and recognition for those tires. If anyone still think it's really worth buying. Maybe those who have complaints cinquaczento due to the inability to fully utilize the possibilities tyres. Dunlop has created a driver works really great :) Next game I'll put up the same. Tires are generally recommended. I drive a car, half city half - route. Strongly mixed driving style, calm after. Aggressive and fast in the great dry conditions tires very well. Are relatively quiet, have good cornering traction held even at high speeds. In the wet is worse, but it is always good. When starting a larger gas. I quickly lose grip in the corners a little faster than uślizgiwać beginning, I think they should. When driving straight behave very well, water discharge well, only to feel resistance in larger pools. I made them around 15tys. km and I am not able to clearly determine how fast you consume, because it was too early. Tires I'm happy, although several parameters need to be improved, especially wet traction. Read more Collapse

Some influence on the curves on dry and wet surfaces (for dry skin much better than all Kleberków) not squeak when accelerating, braking and cornering, a very good car maintenance side most podsterowne (already had a slight tendency to understeer).
