I am very happy with these tires. I felt confident cornering me with my old tires especially on wet and lost traction by pulling out the wet and still stuck in the snow. These tires are quite the opposite, they area very well and have a lot of traction in the dry and in the wet. I find the stopping distance is very similar in the dry, but reduced in wet and far superior in snow or frost. Last winter I helped pushed two cars with two other people and then got into my car and drove through 6-7 inches of snow no problem, I do not think they could believe. I researched the tires in cold weather and decided on these issues and I am so happy with them. I thought it was a trick to have tires in cold weather, but I can assure you that make this a big difference.

If you live in the countryside winter tires are a must, not just for snow, ice and mud, but just to know that you are as safe as you can be. I used 4s Alpin before - it is as good if not better. The only drawback is that because of all the extra grip, fuel consumption suffers a bit. But overall, it's a small price to pay.

Superb tyres in every detail, the best I have ever had, and I had plenty. I did 30000 miles in one season and i am doing 100000 miles per year. I am driving BMW 5 E60 and the treadwear is not higher than 35% so I recommend them. Michelin Alpin 5 are very quiet (unlike other Michelins). Weather conditions are not significant for this tyre, because I feel confident in every weather.
