I bought these tires because for me winter is mainly that wet snow. The rain behaves perfectly. Zero slip and boxing circles, lack of understeer. In the dry course, the same thing. All previous winter tyres that I had were Goodyears, so buying Michelin Alpin 5 I risked, but it was worth it. The tyres are quieter from the summer ones, and in British winter in dry, wet or snow surface they perform as good. The treadwear is minor, after doing 15000 miles the tread wear was about 5%. I do recommend these tyres.

Great tyres, significantly better than its predecessors. Perfect in every weather conditions. There was no real snow in winter so I cannot tell how they perform on snow, however I was drivinf while snowing and they were brilliant. The biggest advantage of Michelin Alpin 5 compared to the A4 is the behaviour on the wet. Both breaking and driving in turns is like driving on dry surface.I recomment these outstanding tyres.
