The Pirelli SottoZero Serie 3 is a winter tyre designed for mid-range and premium passenger cars. Thanks to its directional tread pattern, the model quickly disperses water, minimising the risk of aquaplaning and thus maintaining grip and safety, whatever the weather.
The compound used to make the tyre maintains excellent flexibility across a wide range of temperatures, increasing the contact surface between the tyre and the road, resulting in better driving stability. Optimal traction on snow is provided by the tyre tread with a wide central rib, fitted with blocks in the shape of double arrows. The 3D blades are responsible for good manoeuvrability on dry roads and excellent grip on snow. On wet roads, two longitudinal grooves quickly disperse water and improve driving precision. The rounded side of the tyre helps effectively disperse water and maintain stability when going round corners and during dynamic manoeuvres. Thanks to its innovative compound and optimised tread pattern, the model has a longer lifetime and is more resistant to mechanical damage. The designers of the Pirelli SottoZero Serie 3 have also achieved an even distribution of pressure on the tyre. This means that the tread wears evenly and the tyre offers its full performance specifications for its entire lifetime. The model is a very good solution for drivers who value both optimal performance and good driveability on any surface, as well as safety and comfort in difficult conditions.
