Mounted Pirelli SottoZero Serie 3 in the size of 255/45/19 in 2014. In the beginning of winter in March 2015 I've had almost 10,000 miles covered and I am happy with these tyres. When mounting and balancing maximum weight that was used was 15 grams, I do not feel vibration or anything like that. With Dynamic acceleration (350 hp) I didn't experience any skidding on either dry or wet. It is difficult to assess the benefits of winter tires on snow and ice that winter 2014/2015 was exceptionally mild for drivers and therefore couldn't have had any real issues. The car handles very well, but it can also be the due to A8 D4 and air suspension, though, even in fast tight turns and fast is not necessary to expect to correct the track. I'm very impressed with the Pirelli Sottozero 3, after using Nokian and Verdestein tyres during winters and I was a bit worried to go to PIRELLI but they were available at great price and had good reviews. I did not know how they would be on a 245 than my previous 18 vehicles were much narrower 16-inch wheels. Took on a very steep slope after a heavy snow shower one evening. the tyre chewed through and would slip at very high acceleration. No other 2WD vehicle made up the hill. Very quiet on the highway. Excellent in the dry, it is better in the wet, but certainly not real issues. I highly recommend it if you can get them at good price. I bought these tires after wide consultation, I was not convincing to the end because I already had Sottozero Series and the BMW and the woman complained to them. But these tires are driven world championship about 10,000 km, and I got them started four months, half of the course is a road and the other is Scandinavia, where the tires have passed the examination of 100%.
