Michelin ENERGY SAVER tyres belong to the generation of environmentally-friendly "green" tyres. Innovative technology ensures much lower rolling resistance and, as a result, reduced fuel consumption. This is thanks to the partial replacement of soot with silica. The necessary safety levels are provided thanks to the Durable Security Compound (DSC), an entirely new tread component that does not contain highly aromatic oils. This innovative compound allows for optimal braking thanks to stabilisation of the tread rigidity.
The Michelin group was founded in 1889 by two Frenchmen - Edouard and André Michelin. A long history and the use of innovative technology means that Michelin is now one of the world's largest tyre manufacturers. The French group has won F1, WRC and GP Moto world titles. Michelin is also a majority shareholder in brands such as: Riken, Taurus, Siamtyre, Tigar, Euromaster, Warrior, Kormoran, Recamic, Kleber and BFGoodrich.
