Michelin e.Primacy is a premium summer tyre for every driver who cares about the environment. Technologies developed at the Michelin research centre in Ladoux near Clermont-Ferrand have allowed making a model with high energy efficiency, while also offering safety and durability.
Low rolling resistance for the sake of the environment
Thanks to advanced design solutions, e.Primacy stands out due to its extremely low rolling resistance. This translates into the car's lower fuel consumption - according to the manufacturer's tests, up to 0.21 l/100 km compared to the competition models - and thus significantly lower emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
How was this achieved? The Energy AirShield technology, i.e. the hermetic belt layer, allowed reducing energy loss while driving, thanks to which rolling resistance is minimised as well. The belt itself is also much thinner than in standard models while losing none of its properties. Due to the lower amount of raw materials used in the tyre's production, this is another important pro-ecological element.
The reduction of energy loss while driving is also due to the Energy Passive rubber compound, which uses elastomers with greater elasticity.
Safety and comfort - EverGrip and MaxTouch technologies
The e.Primacy model uses technologies already known from the Primacy 4 model, which have been appreciated by both industry experts and users of these tyres.
EverGrip is a solution responsible for ensuring the adhesion of tyres from new to complete wear. The gradually opening grooves together with the wear-and-tear of the top layer of the tread ensure effective water drainage much longer than in standard tyres.
MaxTouch is a technology that optimises the contact area between the tyre and the ground. This results in surface stresses being distributed over the entire tread, which consequently wears more slowly and evenly. This significantly extends the life of the tyres, which, combined with the EverGrip technology, offers a real revolution in their operation.
Michelin is a French premium brand famous for its pioneering approach to tyre design and the development of new technologies. The models it offers always have the latest manufacturing solutions and the highest quality of materials used. The Michelin Group develops its technologies in modern R&D centres and tests them on its own tracks.

Opinion from outside IE
Very good tyres. They hold perfectly in corners, excellent water evacuation in the wet, very short braking distances (I didn't expect such effective emergency braking). They are quite quiet, especially important when driving an electric car. I will definitely be purchasing these for my second car before replacing the tyres. Read more Collapse

The tyres meet expectations: they stick well to the road in all weather conditions, they are well made (there were no problems with balancing), the low noise index is noticeable as well as the fuel consumption described in the specification. Recommended. Read more Collapse

In general I am satisfied. Low fuel consumption (I drive a 2013 Suzuki S-Cross as a second owner and achieved 7.6 l/100 km in the summer, which I consider a small success). They could be a bit quieter. Read more Collapse

Good tyres, although not the cheapest. With my mileage tread pattern lasts longer than 5 years, although the recommendation is to replace with new tyres after 5 years. Read more Collapse
