225/50 R15 tyres are designed for mid and high class sports cars. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall. It is provided with the help of a string of numbers. The tread width of the tyre is provided in millimetres by the first number. In the case of the 225/50 R15 tyre it is 225 mm. The second number equals the tyre profile's height and its percentage ratio to the tyre's tread width, meaning 50% out of 225 mm.
