Technical description: The Pirelli SottoZero is a winter tyre for passenger cars. The tyre tread has an asymmetric groove pattern and thick, massive tread blocks. The wide grooves ensure rapid water and snow dispersal from under the wheels, preventing the risk of aquaplaning. The outer rows are also excellent for going round corners, maintaining perfect grip and steerability. The car therefore maintains optimal safety levels at higher speeds. The tyre is noted for its long service life thanks to the use of a flexible and durable rubber compound. This material ensures a large contact surface between the tyre and the ground, which means that the tread wears slowly and evenly. Low rolling resistance and reduced noise and vibrations meanwhile increase driver comfort.
