Tyres: Vredestein Quatrac 3 <> Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons. I have driven around 6,000 km on Vredestein Quatrac 3 tyres, a front-wheel drive Peugeot 206, and around 60,000 km on Goodyear Vector 4Seasons tyres. My comments on the Vredestein Quatrac 3 compared with the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons - Vredestein rubber compound: softer, softer - the tyres are a little too flexible; this makes the car unstable when accelerating and at speeds above 80 km/h (temperatures above 25 C) the car drifts left or right - which reduces safety. However, in the case of potholes, bumps are better absorbed compared with Goodyear tyres due to their high elasticity; - Rolling noise is lower (around 68 dB) compared with Goodyear tyres (71 dB): In my experience, Vredestein tyres make more noise because of the cross sipes - which is very annoying (the tyres act a bit like a sound box, for example for a guitar - you can hear the noise amplified by the tyre walls filled with air/nitrogen); it's a bit like driving a tractor. The rolling resistance of the Vredestein Quatrac 3 is considerably higher compared to the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons (the car drives more slowly - up to maximum speed, accelerates more slowly); I would say that fuel consumption is about 0.5 litres more per 100 km); - The Vredestein Quatrac 3 has poorer water dispersal characteristics (slower / less efficient) compared to the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons. Many users ;rate these tyres slightly better than Goodyear, but in my experience the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons are better (especially in terms of driving comfort). Read more Collapse

Goodyear Vector 4Seasons tyres - I traveled about 60,000 km in summer (over 32 ° C) and in winter (frost, snow and ice) - they perform great; I have a comparison to Pirelli (summer) and Barum (winter) - a very big improvement in the quality and comfort of driving compared to the above tyres; great softness on the holes - high damping on the bumps, very high rolling comfort - the car began to drive like a limousine; I did not suspect that the quality of the tyre had such a significant impact; rolling noise - clearly less than previously used tyres - these are also low-noise Goodyears; you can hear the rolling noise - not the noise of the transverse sipes - the V-shaped tread is slanting, which results in low noise; the disadvantage of the V shape is poor drift at high corners at high speed; tyres stick very well to the surface - sharp braking - the car stops almost "in place" (I had to brake suddenly 3 times). I recommend this excellent product. Now I will try to put on the front wheels (drive) the Vredestein Quatrac 3 tyres because they have the same labels: "E" and "C" (braking) and a similar volume of 68/69 dB - but a different tread shape - on the front axle should not endure when sharp turns. Practice - it will show what these tyres are worth. I will leave Goodyears Vector on the rear axle. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I chose these tyres because of the reluctance to frequent visits to rubber workers, as well as the way the car was used - low mileage in the winter season (up to 3000 km) done mainly around the city. I usually go on further routes in the summer. The tyres are a decent alternative to seasonal tyres, however - there is nothing to hide - the heads do not break off. I have no objections on dry roads, although on very hot asphalt they show off a bit in turns. It is so good on snow - incomparably better than on summer ones, but much less than on Dębica Frigo. For driving on wet I gave a grade of 3, but not for driving on wet roads and in puddles - because these tyres handle it normally - but for driving on wet asphalt. It is simply a drama - I have already been skiing several times with raging ABS! Interestingly, when it falls well and the asphalt is very wet, this is not a problem. So driving on wet asphalt is the biggest weakness of these tyres. When it comes to things like driving confidence, easy balance, quietness and ride comfort, this is great. You can see that we are dealing with premium tyres. At 150 km / h, you ride like a string without any discomfort. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I am writing this opinion only because of low popularity all year round or even making fun of such tyres in our country. I bought it only because I say that when you ride only in a city where it is more dry than snowy, it's worth having all-season, not just winter tyres. Meanwhile, Vector 4seasons are better than good. In winter they behave like winter tyres, and on dry roads as summer ones. Abrasion is hard for me to judge because I have only recently put on winter. So far I am very happy with these tyres. They are quite quiet, perform very well on wet surfaces, snow, slush and dry. On snow / ice or slush a little "ride-off", but probably not more than traditional winter tyres. The price is considerable, but it's probably worth it. Despite this, I will change anyway, not hurrying in the spring for the summer, because it is a pity to ride them in the summer in the dry, as you have summer tyres. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I am writing this review because all-season tyres are not very popular or even ridiculed in the country. Meanwhile, the 4Seasons Vectors are better than good. In winter the winter tyres behave like, well I drove on them to Krynica and Zakopane. Twice I had problems with traction - with about 20 centimetres of snow and wet snow in the car park (but I drove alone and didn't get tired spending more time than any other driver). I was afraid that I would pay the price for good winter driving in the summer, but nothing like that happened. I didn't notice that the tyre was softer than a classic summer tyre (I partly remedied this by taking an increased capacity tyre for this size - 94V XL). Cornering is flawed in a directional tyre, so not as good as in an asymmetric one. Abrasion is hard for me to judge, as I don't change tyres that often to feel the difference (20k/year. Kilometers). Technology description: If you’re looking for an all-season tyre that will prove itself in any weather conditions, the the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons is for you. It’s a modern premium model adapted for summer and winter conditions.

The tyre features a range of technologies that allow its design to adapt to the different seasons. With this, the tread of Vector 4Seasons adheres to the road with maximum coverage, no matter the weather.

The directional pattern used in the tyre performs perfectly on wet surfaces. The wide V-shaped grooves efficiently drain water, slush and snow, ensuring fast drying of the tread, and thus a better grip. As a result of the even distribution of pressures acting against the tyre surface, the tread wears out slowly and uniformly on each side. This allows you to fully use its performance regardless of the mileage and time.

The tyre was developed using a compound which adapts to prevailing temperatures. Thanks to this, your car is driven in a stable way no matter the weather. The car won't lose its grip even during sudden manoeuvres or cornering. Braking distance has also been reduced, due to the use of the appropriate components which means that the tyre “bites” into the surface and provides a good grip. A very important role in the reduction of braking distance is also played by the wide central rib, equipped with a large number of sipes. These, in particular, facilitate driving on wet surfaces, making you feel confident behind the wheel no matter the weather.
