Information on the tyre:

Goodyear Vector 4Seasons is a premium all-season tyre that performs very well in variable weather conditions. It uses Weather Reactive technology which allows for its adaptation to the changing seasons, so the tyre proves itself both in summer and winter.

Goodyear Vector 4Seasons is made of a modern compound featuring excellent properties and flexibility. This characteristic helps to increase the tyre/road contact area which translates into better traction properties on snow and ice, as well as an excellent grip. The flat tyre profile ensures an even distribution of pressure, improving the tyre’s durability and making it more environmentally friendly. The central rib is equipped with many sipes that improve grip and facilitate braking on wet surfaces. The tyre uses a directional tread pattern which performs excellently on any type of surface. The wide V-shaped grooves quickly drain water and facilitate effective tread drying. As a result, the risk of aquaplaning is reduced and adequate grip is maintained regardless of the weather. This model guarantees quick driver-tyre communication and precise steering not only on straight roads, but also on bends and during sudden manoeuvres. Goodyear Vector 4Seasons is the perfect solution for the drivers who expect their tyres to provide excellent performance, driving comfort and reliability in any circumstances.

Goodyear is one of the largest tyre suppliers in the world. The group offers tyres under brands like Fulda, Dębica, Dunlop or Sava. Goodyear supplies tyres intended for passenger cars, light trucks, 4x4 vehicles, lorries, race cars, industrial machines and airplanes. Their products are premium rated due to their high quality. Goodyear owns 85 production plants spread across 28 countries worldwide. Presently, the group’s share in the tyre market is around 20%.

Tyres: Vredestein Quatrac 3 <> Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons. I have driven around 6,000 km on Vredestein Quatrac 3 tyres, a front-wheel drive Peugeot 206, and around 60,000 km on Goodyear Vector 4Seasons tyres. My comments on the Vredestein Quatrac 3 compared with the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons - Vredestein rubber compound: softer, softer - the tyres are a little too flexible; this makes the car unstable when accelerating and at speeds above 80 km/h (temperatures above 25 C) the car drifts left or right - which reduces safety. However, in the case of potholes, bumps are better absorbed compared with Goodyear tyres due to their high elasticity; - Rolling noise is lower (around 68 dB) compared with Goodyear tyres (71 dB): In my experience, Vredestein tyres make more noise because of the cross sipes - which is very annoying (the tyres act a bit like a sound box, for example for a guitar - you can hear the noise amplified by the tyre walls filled with air/nitrogen); it's a bit like driving a tractor. The rolling resistance of the Vredestein Quatrac 3 is considerably higher compared to the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons (the car drives more slowly - up to maximum speed, accelerates more slowly); I would say that fuel consumption is about 0.5 litres more per 100 km); - The Vredestein Quatrac 3 has poorer water dispersal characteristics (slower / less efficient) compared to the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons. Many users ;rate these tyres slightly better than Goodyear, but in my experience the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons are better (especially in terms of driving comfort). Read more Collapse

Goodyear Vector 4Seasons tyres - I traveled about 60,000 km in summer (over 32 ° C) and in winter (frost, snow and ice) - they perform great; I have a comparison to Pirelli (summer) and Barum (winter) - a very big improvement in the quality and comfort of driving compared to the above tyres; great softness on the holes - high damping on the bumps, very high rolling comfort - the car began to drive like a limousine; I did not suspect that the quality of the tyre had such a significant impact; rolling noise - clearly less than previously used tyres - these are also low-noise Goodyears; you can hear the rolling noise - not the noise of the transverse sipes - the V-shaped tread is slanting, which results in low noise; the disadvantage of the V shape is poor drift at high corners at high speed; tyres stick very well to the surface - sharp braking - the car stops almost "in place" (I had to brake suddenly 3 times). I recommend this excellent product. Now I will try to put on the front wheels (drive) the Vredestein Quatrac 3 tyres because they have the same labels: "E" and "C" (braking) and a similar volume of 68/69 dB - but a different tread shape - on the front axle should not endure when sharp turns. Practice - it will show what these tyres are worth. I will leave Goodyears Vector on the rear axle. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I chose these tyres because of the reluctance to frequent visits to rubber workers, as well as the way the car was used - low mileage in the winter season (up to 3000 km) done mainly around the city. I usually go on further routes in the summer. The tyres are a decent alternative to seasonal tyres, however - there is nothing to hide - the heads do not break off. I have no objections on dry roads, although on very hot asphalt they show off a bit in turns. It is so good on snow - incomparably better than on summer ones, but much less than on Dębica Frigo. For driving on wet I gave a grade of 3, but not for driving on wet roads and in puddles - because these tyres handle it normally - but for driving on wet asphalt. It is simply a drama - I have already been skiing several times with raging ABS! Interestingly, when it falls well and the asphalt is very wet, this is not a problem. So driving on wet asphalt is the biggest weakness of these tyres. When it comes to things like driving confidence, easy balance, quietness and ride comfort, this is great. You can see that we are dealing with premium tyres. At 150 km / h, you ride like a string without any discomfort. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I am writing this opinion only because of low popularity all year round or even making fun of such tyres in our country. I bought it only because I say that when you ride only in a city where it is more dry than snowy, it's worth having all-season, not just winter tyres. Meanwhile, Vector 4seasons are better than good. In winter they behave like winter tyres, and on dry roads as summer ones. Abrasion is hard for me to judge because I have only recently put on winter. So far I am very happy with these tyres. They are quite quiet, perform very well on wet surfaces, snow, slush and dry. On snow / ice or slush a little "ride-off", but probably not more than traditional winter tyres. The price is considerable, but it's probably worth it. Despite this, I will change anyway, not hurrying in the spring for the summer, because it is a pity to ride them in the summer in the dry, as you have summer tyres. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I am writing this review because all-season tyres are not very popular or even ridiculed in the country. Meanwhile, the 4Seasons Vectors are better than good. In winter the winter tyres behave like, well I drove on them to Krynica and Zakopane. Twice I had problems with traction - with about 20 centimetres of snow and wet snow in the car park (but I drove alone and didn't get tired spending more time than any other driver). I was afraid that I would pay the price for good winter driving in the summer, but nothing like that happened. I didn't notice that the tyre was softer than a classic summer tyre (I partly remedied this by taking an increased capacity tyre for this size - 94V XL). Cornering is flawed in a directional tyre, so not as good as in an asymmetric one. Abrasion is hard for me to judge, as I don't change tyres that often to feel the difference (20k/year. Kilometers). I am coming up to renewing these tyres as ther is only 2mm of tread left on the front they have completed 33000 miles the grip outstanding in the wet mud and snow in the dry just brilliant. I have never really had a bad tyre but then I have always had the same tyres On all 4 wheels the tyre has worn really well but most of the time it is the cars suspension and tracking set up that causes poor wear the tyre is very much part on the suspension on a vehicle anyway it all has to work together Manufactors of vehicles test their cars on a brand to get the best the owner changes the tyre for cheapness or look not the functional side these are not the best tyre to have their is no such thing it depends on your vehicle and you the driver my history I have raced and rallied car now I work ford Mercedes Benz as a Vehicle technician these tyre are the best around tyre Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I have driven on this tyre for almost two seasons. Those who are not crazy in the summer can easily reach for them. In the snow, performance is at the level of a good winter tyre, there is absolutely nothing to fear here. Perfect for such conditions. Only in hot weather you can feel that it is not a hard summer tyre, but for normal driving they provide at least a sufficient safety margin, also when driving fast on the highway or on winding roads. Very good on wet (winter and summer), quiet, no problems with balancing. And most importantly: there are always tyres on the wheels, snow does not pose a problem, there is no problem with too early or too late change and queues for the vulcanizer. You do not need to remove and store two seasonal sets, which tyres generally do not like very much. A very good choice for normal cars and normal drivers. Read more Collapse

I received these tyres from the dealer with my new Seat Leon 1.9 TDI. My fears about the winter proved to be unjustified. I wanted to sell them but after reading the tests and opinions I decided to give them a chance :-). The tyres perform very well in winter conditions. I have driven in the city as well as in the mountains and in the alleys of my neighbourhood which are often covered with ice. I never slipped, the car never got stuck in the snow. They hold the road better than the Firestone Winterhawks I put in my second car. Of course in winter conditions you have to be reasonable... I recommend them for winter rather than for summer, as the summer tyres are more comfortable to drive on. For people who have typical city cars and in summer do not drive at high speeds these are ideal tyres. No need to change them! Read more Collapse

changed the car, in my Zafira I had the Goodyear 4Seasons and they performed excellently. In winter and summer without any problem. Even when I had to climb a steep hill covered with slippery snow they managed without a problem. (On the summer tyres it was really dangerous especially when cornering). The tyre defends itself very well against (water in the ruts - very stable. I have driven on these tyres for tens of thousands of kilometres, 1/3 of which with a trailer, and they were really durable - but it must be emphasised that my driving is smooth. If someone really wanted to find a flaw: The Continetal ContiPremiums were quieter and nicer - of course 4Seasons looks more like a winter tyre so it's not pretty. Regarding fuel consumption - I didn't notice a significant difference. I highly recommend them! Read more Collapse

Hello. After 4 years of use, I can judge and not too well. In the first two years, they worked well. On dry and wet pavement in the mountains in the snow they could handle, but on a sharp mountain I did not drive (to the half) on winter tires I would drive because other cars could handle. In the 3rd year, I started to have problems with the grip on the road in the wet. In the 4th year it was a disaster after the warranty cover. On dry surfaces they squeak every time you start moving, you can feel the car slipping and ESP is activated In the wet you have to be very careful when turning. All the tyres are wearing the rubber has started to crumble and has become hard rubber. With 4 people on the road, the tyres slip when starting in the wet, summer period 65,000 km driven Read more Collapse

Honestly I bought these tyres based on the opinions of other users, although I was a bit scared to have the all season tyres on my car and use them all the time. I don't regret this decision though as the tyres for me are champions! They really hold their own in different conditions. - Climbing yesterday on wheels covered in ice and snow is not a big problem for these tyres. The same goes for driving in water..... So if someone is still hesitating and if moreover he doesn't drive a lot and at the same time doesn't have the desire and the funds to change the tyres or the complete wheels it's really an ideal solution....!!! I recommend it! I am very happy with it, although the tyres are not at a good price.... -but Goodyear is really a great deal Read more Collapse

I got these tyres together with my Golf VII, which means that I have to use them till the end. While in summer they work well on dry roads, on wet roads you can't move from an intersection without grinding the wheels. In winter on wet snow they are a failure. They are noisy, especially when driving fast on the motorway. My old tyres Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 are 10 times better than the new tyres (for winter conditions). If you are looking for a tyre for the whole year, and the winter is mild, you can buy them, but during a snowy winter, it is better to keep the car in the garage. Read more Collapse

I am comparing it with my previous Michelin tyres, also all-season, and see no differences, either positive or negative. Perhaps I have only been using them for a short time. I already know that they handle well on puddles on one side only - they did not pull the car off even though the bodies of water were deep. ;-) By the way, I recommend all-season tyres for cars used like mine - in the city and once a year on the road. The points for snow and slush - only hypothetically, so similar to Michelin - because the field is required in the survey, and I haven't driven in winter yet. Read more Collapse

During the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons race (Fiat Bravo) over two years and for me this tyre is ideal not only in summer but also in winter! I liked it so much that now I buy a new set of small cars for my wife (UP VW!). In summer the braking distance may be a bit more than a summer tyre, but wet winter roads it performs ... BIG! In winter, for example, better I mounted Goodyear 4Seasons all-season tyres, than the typical Barum winter tyres! For me, the Goodyear 4Seasons year tyres are ... great! This is my 2nd set of these tyres. I have no need to change them for any other and as long as Goodyear continue to make them, I will keep coming back. I can confidently recommend these tyres to anyone who drives in moderate climates and has no ambition to make their car a snow groomer. In 7 years of using these tyres, only 1 (in words: 1) time they failed to cope with the road conditions - regular ice on a steep climb. Chains proved to be necessary, but in such conditions full-blooded winter tyres also laid down their arms. I recommend them warmly (and cold too ;) ) Read more Collapse

This is an excellent tyre for all year round UK weather. To get maximum wear on a full set for a front wheel drive vehicle is always put the new tyres on the rear (as per manufacturers instructions) and move the rear set to the front. That way you should get at least 20k miles from each tyre (based on 60:40 city:motorway driving). Of course, the first set put on the front will wear a little quicker; I got 14k miles with 3mm left on front. I had to change them as I was driving the car to Austria to ski where 3mm is the minimum tread for the winter. Read more Collapse

The tyres are good but have a maximum service life of 3 years in winter conditions... After this period of time, even though the winter rating is about 1 mm missing, i.e. the tread height is about 6 mm, the tyres start to crumble and the rubber hardens. In the summer, when it rains, the grip decreases, especially when starting and braking... Generally good tyre for people who drive a lot, i.e. max 3 seasons and then replacement. The car previously had Winter tyres. I decided to try All Season expecting a noticable decrease in performance I took a chance based on good reviews and was pleased to find but was surprised the grip in snow very good. They spent most of the winter being used at altitudes of 600-1600 metres with poor road surface conditions. The ride was a little harder than the previous tyre but this was due to a profile change going from 16 to 18inch wheels. Read more Collapse

Much better in winter (snow and ice) than standard fit summer tyres. A bit rumbly on smooth roads, but not obtrusive. Performance in summer yet to be fully evaluated, but wet and dry grip seems ok. They seem to be wearing well and have no discernible impact on fuel consumption. If you haven't the space to keep an extra set of winter tyres/ rims, then these are very good compromise. Ideal for UK unless you're doing endless motorway miles. Read more Collapse

They say something about it all being bad. However, these tyres probably deny that saying. 195/50/15 in size, however, gave me problems during the winter. With snow, surprisingly, even on difficult terrain (rural tracks) gave the grip. The big disadvantage is that in the third year of operation are small, but quite a bit of damage in the tread. Out in the winter without complaining (maybe a little harder than normal during the summer). Read more Collapse

I would definitely recommend it - I won't go back to changing twice a year, queues etc. I bought 18 months ago, mainly because I needed to replace both summer and winter tyres. I have to buy two sets in a short period of time. Plus storing unused tyres troublesome in the block, not sure when to change tyres (12 degrees in November and freezing in October etc), queues etc. I commute to work. Long trips once or twice a month. Read more Collapse

Ideal tyres for the 4 seasons. The current mild winter 2015/2016 has solidified a very good choice. As I mostly move around in the city conditions of Poznan the tyres have proven themselves perfectly. This is my second car on multi-season tyres. I drove my previous Astra 1.4 petrol for 5 years also on GoodYear multi-season tyres and they performed very well in the city and on the road. So my rating is very good. Read more Collapse

I bought the car with these tyres at 127000 km in 2010 and they were 5 months old. I had to replace 2 of them at 200000 km. The other 2 will last till the end of the season. Super tyres may be expensive but I have avoided 10 tyre changes which gives about 150 euro of savings. And I am always prepared for changing weather conditions. Better than summer and winter tyres for wet roads. Read more Collapse

Have used two sets on two cars. It does not score top marks, as it is an all season tyre. I drive in many circumstances including towing a caravan and the tyres have been very good during the whole year. Hot weather in France to very slushy/muddy in the UK and some wet grass / mud manoeuvring as well. So far 30000 miles driven and still some profile to go. Read more Collapse

Maybe run multiple passages outside the city and the greater rate of movement attempted two sets of tires. For urban driving do not need something better. Winter does not have any difficulty, even with over snow. We'll see how they cope in the summer, but I'm hopeful. The first days of temporary 15-20 degrees have not brought a disturbing experience. Opinion from outside IE

I drove about 40 000 km on the tires and there was no problem in summer or winter. Well drains water and face the pośniegowym mud. After 4 years will tread front tires came to mark TWI. Unfortunately, when the tire is more prone to slip and had to be replaced. Moreover, in my opinion, it is one of the best all-season tires on the market. I recommend! Read more Collapse

While the floor is dry, the tire is actually good lateral OK, quite correct braking, accelerating slightly worse already. Strong enough despite the alleged 69 dB on snow and mud do not have to fix what is very good. Unlike wet asphalt, killing, tire slip difficult to detect when a loss of traction and braking with emergency auto-theft as a bus. Read more Collapse

I choose this type of tire in particular 4 seasons for the convenience of not having to replace seasonally. Goodyear vector 4season recommends that those who do not have an overly aggressive driving ... after 4000 km unchanged air quality trails, fuel consumption limited to a thousand petrol 16.5 km / l ... recommend 4season Goodyear Vector.
