The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is a premium tyre that offers excellent performance specifications for even the most demanding of drivers. The model is designed for passenger cars, sports cars and sporty models with a high performance engine.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 has an asymmetric, optimised tread pattern, which allows the driver to retain full control over the car, even at high speeds. This model is noted for its constant contact with the road surface and large contact surface, which means that drivers can enjoy the full performance specifications of cars fitted with high performance engines without worrying about a loss of control over the car. An additional benefit of these tyres is their innovative tread pattern, which prevents skidding on wet roads. Effective water dispersal from the tyre surface significantly reduces the risk of aquaplaning. These solutions mean that the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 ensures a safe and reliable driving experience in any conditions.

An additional bonus of this model are the improvements in terms of acoustic comfort when driving. The tyre is made using an advanced rubber compound, which effectively reduces braking distances and braking times. This is another benefit of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2, which allows drivers to simultaneously enjoy a fast, dynamic style of driving, as well as safe, efficient braking when required. Thanks to their design, these tyres are also durable and help reduce fuel consumption.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is not only a premium tyre, but also a practical solution that guarantees a long service life, whilst retaining high performance specifications and ensuring significant fuel savings. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 has been used in NASCAR and Formuła 1 races, which is proof of its innovative technology and highlights the features and parameters that have earned the trust of drivers.

Goodyear

In 1839 Charles Goodyear developed his rubber production technology. Five years later he also patented the rubber vulcanisation method. He died in 1860, but Frank Seiberling wanted his memory to live on so he named the company after him when it was set up in 1898. Goodyear also produced various rubber materials alongside its tyres. It is interesting to note that the company has been associated with motor sports almost from its very beginning. Competitors have won many titles in various different competitions using Goodyear tyres. The American Goodyear group currently owns brands including: Dębica, Sava, Fulda and Dunlop.

Tyres fitted to BMW 530 d 193 km, front 235/45/17and rear 255/40/17. Drivers who read these opinions mostly look for savings wondering if it is worth buying premium tires or maybe a middle class with similar performance. Well, it is worth buying these tyres.... BUT due to the fast wear, I do not recommend them for people who want to show a friend nice tyres, because after two seasons about 40,000 wear is significant. Generally, the tyres hold well while cornering. I do not judge braking on dry because even budget class has decent performance. The wet tyres are perfect. Despite the large width floating on the road is felt to some extent for sure, but I do not know any scale in which I could describe it. Driving with children; safety is a priority for me a few hundred more for a set is for me, no expense in emergency, emergency braking, etc. because that's how you need to look at such extreme situations that happen relatively rare, but still ... happen and what ?? these few meters of shorter braking distances have the enormous importance. I've had these on a few cars since thier launch and have been great on all, in all conditions. Yes there are slighty better road holding tyres but last half the life, yes there are slighty better wet condition tyres but last half the life. There are longer life tyres but don't expect to stay on the black stuff too long of you push hard ! These are the best all round tyre I've come accross for years, really rate them and will use them until something better comes along, if something better comes along ! The only other tyre that is as good as this especially considering price (not the most important factor by a long mile in my opinion) is the Vredistien Vorti Sessenta, I'd have those if the F1s were'nt available. This is 2nd time I have purchased these tyres but the 1st time for my Astra. The 1st set I bought was for my previous car which was a Civic 2 door Type S. (17 inch) On the Civic, they were the only tyres I ever had which were any good in the dry and the wet. All the other tyres I tried were rubbish in comparison and compromised in one way or another. I bought the same tyres for the Astra on the strength of how good they were on the Civic. I am not disappointed. I've had them on for 14K km and they have been great all round especially in the wet. In the dry the car handles like it is on rails. Next time I need tyres I will be replacing them with the same Goodyear tyres. Read more Collapse

Silent, good handling, excellent braking on dry. Compared to Yokohama Advan Sport is a revelation, I do not know with durability to a small mileage but I do not recommend Yokohama, the wheels are big up to 18 "and the last tyres at about 20,000 totally made noise by cracking. Previously Brigston Potenza also started but only after about 30,000 and they were factory-made, so apparently with less tread. Generally, I noticed that the bigger the tire and the more expensive it is, however, the durability is not satisfactory, they are far from 50,000 to 60,000. as I did on wheels 15 " For now, I recommend Goodyear! Tyre ok. Loud only on concrete jumbo surface. Very low rolling resistance. It could be softer and better suppress inequalities, but such a low profile it has some limits. I have not caught aquaplaning on the water yet and it has been raining a couple of times so I can handle it. The tyre is certainly very durable. Last I caught a curb at the speed of 50 km / h at the edge of the road. Both wheels and tyres survived. I was afraid of a bent rim and damaged tyres and here the rant FR protected the rims and there is no trace on the tyre. For now, I do not see any significant signs of wear with moderate driving style. Read more Collapse

Once again I bought Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 and I don’t regret it. I have fitted a set of these tyres and I’m impressed. Best brand ever! Winter tyres are as good summer tyres. That is my best brand, very good grip. Tyres look nice, perform well. Adhesion is just perfect. Of course I’ve read a very good reviews about this tyres, and I decided to go for this model. I was unsure, I wanted to buy a different model, but Eagle F1 had the best reviews. Safe driving and there is anything wrong I can write about them. Good service, great delivery time. I driving usually on straight roads and I feel safe. Read more Collapse

Brand new tyres in size 235/45 R18 XL 98V fitted at the beginning of April 2014. Now its end of August and after doing around 15K km tyres needs to be changed. Especially the once for the back axle. Generally tyres are quiet and breaking on the wet surfaces is perfect, however I didn’t feel confident, if it comes to the handling. Been at the garage few times to check if ther is everything ok with a suspension and traction. I was slightly disappointed as my Ford S-Max 240 BHP behave on road like old Laguna. My previous tyres from Continental were much better, last longer and more safe to drive. Read more Collapse

I changed the tyres from Michelin also in the same size. They were immediately tested during the summer trip to Croatia (over 3k km). Super grip during really heavy rain and at the heaviest loaded car. I will not even mention dry driving. I travelled well over 10k km and no signs of wear - of course with moderate driving style. However, during dynamic driving on the motorway as well as after mountain serpentines the super tyres hold the designated direction. I honestly recommend these tyres. I bought them for Oponeo at an interesting at discounted price and I do not regret the money spent. Read more Collapse

Very nice and good looking tyre. I find them in a very attractive price. I my opinion very good traction and grip. As I’ve read opinion about this particular model I have to say I agree. Excellent driving on the European roads, tyres are quite quiet- for me. I know that for other people may be a little bit too noisy. For me not. There is no comparison to any other brands that I has before. It is worth to buy Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2. Better driving comfort. I am driving almost every single day the tyres look like new. Vert attractive price. I bought Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 on the internet for the very first time. I read a bit on the internet and tyres have good reviews not only in the UK. I decided to buy them. Good traction, I have been running these for 400 miles now on my Seat and honestly I have found them to be an excellent tyres. Good price, good quality and I think it’s worth to spend a little more money to have good and feel safe. My car looks nice and I think I’ll buy a set of winter tyres the same brand as well. Great for both acceleration and braking. Very good on wet surfaces. I could enter corners much faster than on previous Continenetal contisport 3. Very predictable tyres are easy to feel when the car loses grip in the corner by a gentle slip. The walls are soft thanks to which they are quite comfortable, but it does not cause negative feelings during sharp cornering. The rolling resistance and volume of the tyres are not important to me, which is why I do not write anything about it. I definitely recommend these tyres Read more Collapse

Tyres in quite large size, I have purchased with a little concern, that I can come across aquaplaning while driving on wet surfaces. I have to admit that tyres are perfect and handling is really confident. Of course driving into a big puddle causes some steering wheel vibrations but not like on my previous tyres. Goodyear’s are really quiet on the motorways, but on country roads due to the low profile can feel irregularities. Beside this fact I highly recommend these tyres to everyone for dynamic and fast driving. Read more Collapse

After a purchase I had to send my tyres back for a claim. Two of them were damaged. While driving my car was vibrating and floating on the road. Goodyear accepted my claim and send me a new set. From this time everything is perfect. They are much quitter then previous Hankooks. Very good handling on the wet and dry surfaces. With achieving higher speeds I feel very confident and safe. Despite my problems at the beginning I can highly recommend these tyres. Also recommend Oponeo for a great service! Read more Collapse

I would recommended Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 as the tyres perform well on my vehicle. Good grip and tyres also good on wet roads. Tyres handles very well in both wet and dry conditions and suits my driving. Also rolling resistance quite high, So there is no point to buy more expensive tyres, for me the quality is the same. I am not a car enthusiast. I was simply looking for good tyres at a good price. I have to say that these tyres are highly recommended. I drive quite agilely and dynamically. The tread is practically intact after a few thousand kilometres. You can't hear the tyres (in the sense that you don't notice any noise while driving) even when driving fast - more than 150 km/h. If I were to buy tyres again, I would choose these. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres because they were the best premium tyre I could afford. They suit my driving style well and appear to be wearing well too. I like their tread pattern and the rim protector feature, although won't protect from kerbing to your alloys, have not shredded when doing so. I bought a set of 4, they were all new, obviously but 2 of the set were manufactured nearly 2 years before they were delivered to me, the customer. I'd still strongly recommend them. I've used these tyres on several vehicles. Each time a vehicle is supplied with a different brand I've yet to be impressed with the performance of the original tyres, I usually change to Goodyear F1's at the earliest opportunity and their performance is always a noticeably improvement. I have used these tyres since they originally came onto the market and each version has been an evolutionary improvement, always one step ahead of the competition. Read more Collapse

Tyres are worth their price (even though we know they could be cheaper ;)) Both on dry and wet, they behave well. Driving is a pleasure - total control of the car. Braking is excellent, even tougher in the wet, durability is also surprisingly good (15,000 km) compared to the Dunlop Sport Maxx for example, much better ;) Quite dynamic driving style ;) After having tested several big brands, for the moment I stay on Goodyear, for summer and winter Read more Collapse

Had all four wheels with these tyres on and no complaints! Wear is excellent considering I drive like a nutter! Only complaint is the cost but shopping around can save plenty to make it tremendous value for money Back wheels are 275 35 18 and front 245 40 18 Superb tyres as have tried most of the top ones such as Continental, Dunlop, Michelin etc! Bought brand new and after two years still have 4mm of tread left! Very Happy Chappy! :) Read more Collapse

I have done more than 30 thousand on the tyres and I can say that they are ok, reliable hold, in the wet everything under control, to abrasion 3 and the front within 4 mm, so you can say that they are durable for a car with a lot of torque. profile 40 too much does not give a feeling of comfort, but so it must be, when you sit low to the ground is something for something. Next tyres will be the same, they live up to expectations. Read more Collapse

Great tyres, very good performance on wet as well as dry roads. At highway speeds the car behaves very confident and stable. Good damping of bumps, noise level also at an acceptable level - a motorway journey of over 1200 km is not tiring with noise and rolling sound. On wet also excellent traction, great predictability of driving even in heavy rain and at higher speeds. A product worth recommending in 100%! Read more Collapse

Nice ride compared to the Original Bridgestone Run Flats that came with the car. Road noise is very noticeable compared to the Bridgestones though. I had to check to make sure they were put on the right way but seems that the F1's are not directional tyres. Cornering is good but sometimes I didn't feel confident at speed on roundabouts. Absolutely no grip in snow. They F1's seem to be wearing well. Read more Collapse

I have driven with the tyres up to 4000 times in Germany and Poland and I can't tell the difference whether it's wet or dry. The tyres work brilliantly. In bends it does not throw off the track and on roundabouts it handles just like on dry pavement. The last tyre I had was a 2 year old japanese tyre and I would not recommend it to anyone.
