The Opel Corsa is a small B-segment city car and at the same time one of the most popular models in the catalogue of this German manufacturer. The car in its third generation, designated with the letter C, was produced for Europe from 2000 to 2006, and received a facelift in 2003. The car was offered in three body styles – as a 3- and 5-door hatchback and a 4-door sedan. Despite its very small exterior dimensions (only up to 394 cm in length and 164 cm in width), the Corsa C provided good protection for the driver and passengers against the consequences of accidents, achieving as many as four stars in the Euro NCAP test. It could be bought in many trim versions, including Base, Eco, Elegance, Sport and GSi. Even the standard version was quite well equipped for its class. The driver could count on an airbag, seat belt pretensioners and an immobiliser. There were also many power units in the range. The basic 1.0 l version generated 60 hp, and the most powerful 1.8 l version – as much as 125 hp. Manual, automatic and semi-automatic gearboxes were available (depending on year, market and engine).
