RainSport 3 is a summer tire, which is ideally suited to harsh weather conditions. Uniroyal, the brand known for its rain tires, developed a tire model that performs very well on wet roads, making driving safer. The modern tread design ensures quick water removal from under the front of the tire. A wet road is not a threat to a car fitted with RainSport 3 tires. The model has been designed for mid-range cars and SUVs.
Adhesion:
The car "sticks" to the road and performs safely when cornering, as the tread of RainSport 3 has many 3D grooves and elastic shoulders, which ensure a better grip. These features are particularly important during heavy rain. The car behaves reliably, responding well to the driver's commands and the drive is safe. The manufacturer is strongly focused on the maximum safety of drivers, therefore it has used a special rubber blend designed to improve grip.
Protection against aquaplaning:
When designing this model, the manufacturers were inspired by a water predator, so the model uses a unique shape of water-draining grooves that is similar to the structure of shark skin. The innovative solution and fine grooves that regulate the flow of water ensure excellent performance on wet surfaces. The shape of the tread prevents the loss of grip when the car drives over, e.g. a puddle. As a result, drivers using RainSport 3 are additionally protected against aquaplaning.
Driving:
RainSport 3 tires have a top-class wet grip category, marked according to European standards with the letter "A". This is very important information for drivers who want to drive safely and to feel confident behind the wheel of their cars. The asymmetrical tread pattern used in RainSport 3 increases the area of the tire’s contact with the ground, whereas the uniformly distributed pressure reduces the wear of tires and corrects any misalignments.
Uniroyal is a well-known producer of excellent rain tires. The company is owned by the German concern Continental, which produces top class tires. In addition to Uniroyal, Continental owns also other brands, including Barum, Semperit, Sportiva and Matador.

Recommendable tyres, especially for wet weather for which these were eventually created. Good grip on dry and wet asphalt. They’re relatively quiet. On the previous generation I’ve driven even in winter, I had a problem only on the ice, but for these conditions you need chains or spikes. The only downside for me is that when I’m abroad where you can drive faster than 86mph, when I get to 100/105mph the wells and the steering wheel gently vibrate. I hadn’t had this experience on Bridgestone Turanza ER 300 that I’ve had before. The grooves in the tread are large so stones enter them and strike while driving. That’s why I noted that Uniroyal isn’t a premium tyre but a bit lower class abut quality is much higher than the butget tyres so I would say it is in the middle class. When it comes to consumption, I’m driving on them only one season. So far I have not noticed any consumption of the tyre. The appearance of the tyres is cool, although for me it’s important for the tyre to be good in all conditions not to look good. However if the looks is important for you, I don’t think you’ll hesitate to buy Uniroyal, the looks should’ t disappoint you. For car as mine this tyre is good, but for strong BMW or Mercedes I would rather buy something from the premium class. In summary, if you can afford to pay for a set of high performance tyres or if you have a fast car, buy something better (unless you’re driving mostly around the city, then this tyre will be great). But if you look forward to purchase a set of tyres from a middle shelf, for me the Uniroyal is the best choice. Read more Collapse

The biggest negative of my previous tyres Contisport3 was an amazing sensitivity to the holes in the ground (it wanted to snatch the hands off the wheel) and a high resistance to the managing the steering wheel. Uniroyal solved these problems. I almost couldn’t feel any resistance on the steering wheel, and the resistance is comparable to the behavior of the tyres with the width of 205 on dry which is actually typical for this tyre brand. The tyre has a soft shoulder that may be experienced during fast driving, but does not interfere with the normal operation and comfort. On a rain the tyre is brilliant, which is not surprising in case of this tyre brand. This tyre is considered the inventory of the rain tyres. On the highway in Croatia the biggest rain caught me. I’ve never seen such rain in my life. Despite the fact that the wipers couldn’t deal with it, and that the river flowed on the road, I was able to go boldly with the speed 70-75mph without risking anything. Tyre has never lost contact with the road. Falling in puddles feels like the car slows down but the tyres would ideally remove water from under the wheels. For them, there is no aquaplaning. I came back home on these tyres in one piece. On worn conti this could end badly. I do not know how sustainability is, but if it bearable I think I found the perfect tyre. Read more Collapse

These tyres are available for a very cool price. I’ve ordered them as my brother recommended them to me. He has them in the 17” version and is also happy with the purchase. The tyres feel no difference whether it is dry or wet, even at speeds of 75-85mph, behind the car there is only a cloud. They’re a bit loud but apparently for this tread shape it’s normal. Certainly it may be a fault of the old bearings. Noise is not a big deal, but you can hear the tires a little. Surely it also depends on the car and its noise suppression. I drove over there and the 10k and it still looks very good, apart from some glass cuts or cuts caused by sharp stones, there is no sign of use. So far no flat tyre and no falling into a hole damaged the tyre. On my crooked alloy wheels I finally managed to somehow normally balance the tyres. Previous tyres I had were the budget tyres that they did not work at all. I recommend buying new tyres that will last you few years that some used once that you have to buy every year and then they go to bin. Compared to sport tyres that a colleague of mine has but had less miles than mine - my looks like you have never used them. I recommend this model although with no doubt Uniroyal has other equally successful models. Read more Collapse

The tyre is reportedly Class A when it comes to draining water. Nonsense. When driving into a puddle, the car simply "rears" and ESP has something to do. The soft side of the tyre, even the winter tyres do not swim, but in a plus in the subject of comfort. The tyre breaks and beats when it is cold; only when you catch the right temperature, it is already quite OK. Durability for class C is a drama, or rather a mockery; I have them from the second half of March and for the TWI brick is about 1mm. It's basically this "droplet" that informs you that the water will cease to freely get out from under the tyre ... Given that even the super-fresh was aquaplaning, this is cause for concern before the autumn monsoon season. As far as they reach, at least the front. In order to be clear, I do not "burn wheels", I do not drive either competitively or sporty, usually expeditions and motorways. The truth was told by the man that the tyre drains more water in the direction of travel and in the opposite direction than the side. Only what is worth recommending here is the price. The tyre has a very soft shoulder and car floats on them. On the previous Bridgestone tyres, the driving precision was incomparably better. At the beginning I had the impression that the car throws its back on the corners, but it is simply the tyre doing I wrote aboutearlier. Today 10/07/2014 I had no way to avoid getting into the puddles and dropped 100km / h which caused that I just literally sailed, ie the steering wheel turned slightly to the left and the car flew right to the forest until I got my spine chilled. If someone likes to go a little faster, I really do not recommend these tyres. At higher speeds, I have the impression that the car would be suspended on some elastic ball and a delicate unevenness would cause the car to be blasted into the air. I will add to this all that I have a sports suspension at the factory and this tyre terribly spoils the characteristics of this work. The current distance of about 8 thousand km. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres inpired by Internet users' reviews and I'm disappointed. The only good thing I can say about these tyres is that they have actually good grip in the wet. For someone who only drives around the city and very calmly these may be good tyres, but with this style of driving Chinese cars for 2/3 of the price also work. The biggest disadvantage of Rainsport 3 is in my opinion fatal grip on curves in dry conditions. I'm not talking about reckless driving here, but on the highway at 140 km / h the fear of entering a bigger arc, because it feels like the car is supposed to fly away (sometimes even ESP activates). I have been driving the same style for the last 5 years on Japanese manufacturer's tyres purchased at a similar price, and then the car was driving in curves like on rails. To sum up: tyres for people who like to feel safe on wet surfaces, and not for people who like a bit more dynamic ride, especially on curves and in corners Read more Collapse

Good value for money. For the price of the milled range we get a mid-range product that on the wet surfaces equals or even beats the Michelin Energy Saver and ContiPremiumContact 2 tyres. When it rains you simply do not need to slow down. You are able to hold on to the steering wheel even when you hit a rut full of water. On a dry surface it is also good, but in dry conditions all tyres do well. When it comes to volume it doesn’t bother me, but I can’t judge objectively. It is rather comfortable tyre. The sides of the tyres are soft and you can feel it in fast corners. Tyre’s appearance is a big plus. This are not the most important factor, but if it looks good on the car is worth highlighting. Furthermore, beside Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta, the Uniroyal Rainsport 3 is probably one of the best tyres to order. I recommend especially for those who are looking for comfortable tyres with excellent value for money and good behavior in wet. Read more Collapse

Nice appearance and good driving in deep water - this is the end of the merits of these tyres. The purchase of these was a mistake. If I drove Matiz, maybe it would be ok. However, tyres are totally unsuitable for faster driving. The first time I have contact with them, which was above 140 km / h car began to swim - literally. Even when entering the highway on 190 km / h, it feels uncertain. The tyres feel strange on the ruts and potholes. The car starts to swim as if the shock absorbers were gone. When quickly starting - they squeak. When the tyre starts rolling, the tyres are rotating in place. Above 140km / h, it explains how a bearing will get. I'm very disappointed. I counted on a much better product. My previous ones: AVON ZV5 do not even grow up to the top five. Do not let yourself be tempted by the sporty look of the tyre. If you have a sports car and you like to press gas sometimes, these tyres are not for you. Read more Collapse

Currently I use the second set of these tyre of the summer season. I am very happy with them. Driving in the rain is actually reliable, confident, but let's face it, nothing is impossible. When the braking is done repeatedly the car can swim but while driving it's great. On a dry surfaces it sticks to the ground well. In general the rubber is soft and you feel it at higher speeds. The driving is comfortable. Sometimes, in a fast turn the car slips, but that's how it is with these front-wheel drive. To summarize, it's a brilliant tyre for draining water. Tyres provide a secure grip on dry and wet roads and confidence (it feels the same in both conditions). I don't have to be limited when the asphalt is wet. I'll also add that in winter I also use the Uniroyal tyres. Read more Collapse

Tyres in general are good. I confirm all good opinions about traction, hold, etc. These tyres are incredibly soft. On one hand, it’s improving the driving experience because they suppress inequalities. On the other hand, they are exposed to damage. Not to mention that, in my case, a fast bump into the curb may damage the rim. Previously, I had the Yokohamach Advan Sport mounted for four years and although it was very difficult because the tyres were hard, the tyres were not damaged. When it comes to Uniroyals last season, three times I had to visit the fitting station. This year, after the first month, I already repaired the tyre. Reason: wedging into a too deep hole. Perhaps this is due to the 45 profile, but these things simply should not happen these times. Read more Collapse

That was once again a conscious choice of tyres. For many years, I'm choosing Uniroyal tyres for a rainy summer. Everything happens on the dry and wet surfaces, you only need to keep on the road. It is the next generation of tyres, revised and improved. Very good drainage and rubber compound provide a high comfort while driving. Driving on wet in fast corners ensures the stability of the car through the special tread. On the highway at speeds of 80-85mph without any effect of aquaplaning. Brief braking provides further security. Only the relatively rapid consumption is a little inconvenient. Covering at a distance of about 25000miles is the result of an inadequate tyres. If you use two sets in one year, here you will be using them for 3-4 years. Read more Collapse

Hello. The the previous car I was using an earlier model of this Uniroyal tyre and I was very happy with it. However, the Uniroyal Rainsport 3 which I’ve recently bought disappointed me slightly. After purchase, they made toe in a facility and checked geometries in the car. Even that the tyres are noisy to me. To settle they needed about 620 miles but in the tight corners I still can hear them. They quickly wear out on the roads that I drive on, but the car holds the road very well on both wet and dry conditions as other users say. Indeed the tread pattern looks like a winner, but safety and pleasure of driving is important too. The price for these tyres is low. It’s ok when you take into account the price/quality/driving pleasure/security. Read more Collapse

I would like to evaluate today Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres size 225/55/17. Last summer I traveled around southern Europe and I was very concerned about the feedback of some users about the softness of tyres and especially in the conditions of elevated temperatures. I do not confirm these allegations - the tyres were perfect on red heated asphalt. During downpours on this slippery southern asphalt, they were doing great. Water drainage is a big advantage. durability - I can not evaluate this parameter because 7,000 km is not enough. Another disadvantage that users paid attention to is the softness of the sides - I have a heavy car but I did not get that impression. I recommend tyres and encourage anyone who is still not convinced. Read more Collapse

I hoped that this tyre stiffens the shoulder of the tyre as the RS2 that I've had before were soft and swam. I miscalculated. In the wet conditions this tyre is divine! On dry surfaces it's enough for my cars performance. I have the feeling of flying car. These are brand new tyres, so probably the comfort will improve, but mostly the driving is smooth under 85mph. You need to be careful while driving on the side wall because the tyre is able to bend under the rim. The aggressive driving style is very suitable. The traction is great. It's awesome while racing. It looks good and gives you confidence when braking. As it starts to rain I don't have to changed my driving style :) This tyre solved the problem of aquaplaning very well. Read more Collapse

The tire works well. It doesn’t show any difference between dry and wet conditions. In the case of very high temperatures (plus 35 degrees) it becomes softer and can skid the back on the roundabout (RWD) without much effort. You can hear the whistle, but it isn’t annoying or anything so you can quickly forget about it. Some inequalities cause the impression that the car jumps (it may be due to the low profile). As for the durability of this tyre, it has taken a lot and compared to Proxes that I’ve managed to destroy after 6 months, this tyre is very resistible. Tyres appearance: two amazing rim protectors and Shark Technology on the tread. I recommend this tyre and intend to buy it again in the future. An amazing tire! Read more Collapse

One of the tyres broke after 2 days of driving ... Bad luck, I drove to an unidentified object on an even road (to work, at a speed of 40 km / h). The hole in which you can put 2 fingers, tyre to be thrown away. I had a spare so I bought a new one only in the next season ... So I could observe the consumption. After 20,000 km of normal driving ... it seems to me that it's a lot of wear, especially because I drive rather gently (I'm not talking about speed because it does not matter). The tyres make noise (quite much) especially in the most useful range (from 50 to approx. 70 km / h). I will not buy them a second time, so I do not recommend them to others. I recall of one benefit: very good on wet, but that's all .. Read more Collapse

Tyres are cheap and really cool. The car grips the road really well. Some people write that the car floats in excess of 85mph. Personally, I have not noticed this behavior when driving on the highway even at speed 112mph. That may be the suspension. Performance in the wet conditions is better. Car sticks to the ground like on glue. Great water draining. The only thing that bothers me is the behavior of a tyre with raids on the side wall. Cornering on the pavement , if it's entered early, can damage the rim. I've checked and the tyres were inflated to the manufacturer's instructions. As regards the strength of the tyre is not quite led them to this state. In general, in this price range is a recommended tyre. Read more Collapse

I've purchased these tyres with the idea on my mind that if the conditions will be worse, which in the summer means rain, so these tyres are a reasonable choice. Earlier I had the Uniroyal Rainsport 2 and I was very happy with them. Very good grip on wet and dry surfaces. Good braking. The tyres are wide, although I have not experienced any phenomenon of aquaplaning. In the rain I had the desire to try the tyres in a turn, where you normally have maximum 37mph. I've managed to beat it with 62mph on the counter. The only drawback of this tyre are great drainage grooves, in which the stones easily enter. The tyres of this size always presents very well. Overall a good tyre for good money. Recommendable. Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres at the beginning of the season> So far it surprised me only in a positive way. It is especially important for me to grasp the wet as there is a great mass of the car (starting a little over 2 tons), so it is very important that you do not lose cornering grip. So far it's well exercised in these conditions. The aquaplaning even imperceptible, but it is only the beginning of the tread. On a dry road also I've had no problem, even inhibit when the corners are quite rigid and at high temperatures it's not squeaky. Highly recommendable. I've already tested many high perfoemance brands and the Uniroyal is more than average. For me he best for wet conditions are Uniroyal rainsport 3. Read more Collapse

As a long term fan of the rainsport on other cars I am sad that I just can't recommend these tyres in place of the standard BMW runflats. The sidewalls are just far too soft even on the XL rated tyres and I now have no confidence really pushing the car because I'm never really quite sure how it is going to behave. Fast changes of direction are a no no. They're fine if you just want to go to the shops and back but if you actually want the car to feel good when pressing on then stay away. I won't be buying these for this car again. One good thing I can say is that they are excellent in the rain as always, I had no slides or aquaplaning in heavy standing water (6.5mm tread on the tyres at that time). Read more Collapse

I have been using these tyres since February this year and I am very happy with them. What surprised me the most is the low rolling resistance and greater ease of shooting direction relative to Continental ContiSport Contact 3 and Michelin Pilot Sport 3. On wet surfaces it has an excellent results in this regard, it is a better tyre in my opinion. In the dry season it behives well, but over 85mph in one moment the driving is fluid, but not rigid and stable. This is probably the only downside of this tire. But you know, the tyre can not be the best in all the criteria that we submit it. If only someone does not exceed the recommended speed I recommend this tyre. It's a good value for money. Hello. My opinion is quite non-standard, because the tyres were used only on the track, and not in normal traffic. I am not able to judge tyres during normal driving - from what I have read, they have quite positive reviews. However, the tyres are definitely not suitable for sports driving because they are too soft - when the tyres are fast, tight, the tyre curls up, resulting in the inconvenience on the track and the tearing of the tyre's sides. After heating the tyre gets very soft which intensifies the effect described. But I emphasize - my opinion is about a sporty ride on the track, not in normal traffic where tyres are not driven to such high temperatures and so much abuse. Read more Collapse

This is my second Uniroyal tyre set. A few days ago, I returned home in the rain and snow. No problems with traction or aquaplaning. You should know that the tread can face water drainage. There is a surprisingly low noise level C. My previous summer tyres on this car were Continentals, but it seems that Uniroyals are quieter. Maybe they are still too new, but for now I enjoy the geratest peace inside the car. I usually drive in the city at speeds of 85-125mph. Tyres recommendable - in this price category are almost unbeatable. Their direct rival is probably only Hankook. I 'm not able to examined the issue of evaluation or sustainability - it is too early. After the initial pleasant surprise came a complete disappointment. The tyres are completely dented. I went to the service with a request to check and possibly replace the bearing. It turned out that the suspension is the best order. In return I got a printout from the suspension test (everything in the norm limits). The tyres look like a knife cut. I know that I travel mainly long routes but before them I had Continentals and everything was in order. I have traveled several dozen thousands on them. In conclusion, a great disappointment. Although they are summer tyres that worked well during the transitional period (temporary frosts), they perfectly stick to the road, work well in corners and on mountain roads, have excellent grip. A tyre for those who value safety and convenience, not rally sporty edge. Tested both on the highway (it is well driven to a speed of 140km / h - I do not drive faster for what?), As well as on local and mountain roads. I am bringing children so safety is a priority. They save fuel even when driving around the city. With these tyres, consumption has dropped by an average of a liter per 100km. I also have winter Uniroyals. I would recommend. Read more Collapse

having read most of the reviews for the uniroyal 3 rain tyre I was looking forward to getting them fitted however was so disappointed although they feel safe on wet roads you can't get away from the fact that overall these tyres feel so soft on the road making the car feel as if your driving on jelly . Driving on mostly country or B roads they don't give you much feedback from the road rather that your floating along , now going to put them on the back . Overall they might be effective on wet roads you just don't feel safe at higher speeds and they tend to under steer around bends just being honest and wouldn't buy them again Read more Collapse

The tyre has no reinforcements on the side rims. After inflating, it looks like it has been deflated all the time. Holes on the way and, unfortunatelymake the car jump up, the same while driving on the curb + they get crushed mercilessly on the sides. To top it all, the body floats sideways. On the water, ok, it drains water, holds up thanks asymmetry of the tread. The left side throws water under the tyres on the outside and the right side of the car throws water under the tyre, but of course everyone from the manufacturer to traders and local sellers say that it is supposed to be so. I leave the choice to drivers. Regards Read more Collapse

Hello everyone. Until recently, I had the latest model in the tyres of this Belgian company - Uniroyal Rain Sport 3 and I am pleasantly surprised by a very good characteristics on dry roads. There's no noise generated by these tyres! The asymmetric tread of Uniroyal Rain Sport 3 dampens vibrations while driving ;) Thanks to this you can feel a high level of comfort while driving! For now, I have traveled only about 1000 km. Citroen C3 II. A change from Michelin Saver factory spec tyres. The Uniroyal tyre is more comfortable and soft compared to the Michelin Saver. It perfectly behaves on asphalt during even heavy rain and at the speeds of up to 120 km / h. Its softness is for me both an advantage and a slight disadvantage, because the rapid turns are not as "stable" as in the factory Michelin Saver. They behave correctly on a dry though.
