Information on the tyre: p>
Toyo R1R is an extreme performance summer tyre designed for fast and dynamic driving. It behaves very well on both dry and wet roads. The model is ideal for drivers who equally appreciate safety, comfort and a full vehicle performance regardless of weather conditions.
Toyo R1R has an advanced directional tread pattern. The main element of its sculpture is the long arched grooves in the central part of the shoulder zone. They intersect with each other to form a directional pattern. The model has a unique structure that is devoid of blocks on the shoulder. This ensures rapid water evacuation from the tyres and helps to increase hydroplaning resistance. The tread pattern of the tyre shoulder also improves the manoeuvrability - steering movements are efficiently transferred to the road, and the trajectory is maintained. To build the Toyo R1R, a high-grip tread compound with silica was used, which makes the tyre sufficiently flexible regardless of the temperature. The blend is also lightweight, allowing the designers to successfully reduce rolling resistance, and as a consequence - fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. The tyre wears off slowly and evenly, ensuring a longer and safer performance without having to worry about the gradual loss of some of the parameters. Engineers also took care of the acoustic comfort of the driver and passengers – the grooves on the shoulders of the tread provide better air circulation between the substrate and the surface of the tyre. This reduces noise and makes driving on the Toyo R1r quiet and pleasant.
