I have been driving on the Continental ContiSport Contact 5 tyres for some time and I think the Toyo Proxes T1-R are much better. I purchased the Toyo tyres in the size 225/45 R17 94 W, ZR rated and the first noticeable difference is a noise level. They are very quiet and they are a way more comfortable than my previous Continentals. My vehicle is very stable even over 150 mph (of course on the German motorways;)). It is difficult to tell whether they are equally stable in rainy weather conditions as I did not develop such a high speed on a wet road. In dry conditions, the Toyo Proxes T1-R provide so astonishing grip that I have an impression like my car was sticked to the road. The fuel consumption is lower than it was while I was using Continental tyres. I have read somewhere that all Toyo tyres tend to wear out quickly but I will be able to tell more about their durability after two seasons. I suppose that Continentals had a harder rubber compound. I am equipped with some Tyoyo tyres for a winter season as well. I am very happy with a quality of the Toyo Proxes T1-R and I think it is not worth paying more for different premium tyres as you will not feel a difference at all. I drive rather smoothly and do not exceed the speed limit. I decided to add some review in order to share my opinion with all drivers. The Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres are fantastic. They provide a solid grip and safety in all weather conditions. It is a great pleasure to drive a car on these tyres, especially on a motorway. The tyres are doing well on a wet surface although I have a quite powerful vehicle (260 horsepower, 340 n/m). Recently, I have mounted the Brembo discs and in combination with these tyres, the braking distance is amazingly short! Now I have a feeling of safety on the road. I cannot rate their durability but I think the tyres should preserve their full performance for several seasons. They are not too loud. I would even say that my car has become more comfortable once I mounted the Toyo Proxes T1-R. In a rainy weather they do their job properly. Really good tyres available in a reasonable price. I am satisfied with a quality of the product I purchased. I know it was a good choice. I would like to recommend them to everyone who drives often in a city. I bought new tyres from among premium brands for the previous car - it was different size though. In the spring I changed my car and it was necessary to buy saome tyres. Premium tyres were not an option due to the price, so guided by the price and opinions, I decided to buy TOYO Proxes T1-R. At the beginning I was happy with the good choice because they gave me quite the joy while cornering, nice braking, but I never started sharply. The tyres mounted on the front axle began to worn off slightly. During the last ride in the rain, traction control had to do it's job all the time. The Proxes T1-R are perfectly suitable for driving in local climate. The tyre drains water rather nicely, entering a deeper puddle after a havier rain at a speed of 60-70 mph is not a problem at all. The situation is the same when the surface is only wet, without standing water - here the tyre is doing well too. It behaves very well on a dry surface. As for cornering, compound could be a bit harder as some vehicles does not like soft tyres - but it still outclasses some other top level brands, which I had fitted previously on this car. Hello. I bought Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres in the beginning of summer, covered a distance of around 4000 miles. As for now, no signs of wear, maybe because they have been made in Japan. Driving on them is a real pleasure, they suppress the ruts and potholes quite nicely, they stick tight to the road when driving aggresively as well. I never had even one situation when I lost the control of the vehicle. Wet road, rainy weather or sunny day - no difference for this tyre model. I am really impressed. All the best and try them! The tyres I have purchased are okay, but they are a little bit too loud for me. However it is not a really big issue as this tyre model is safe. Toyo Proxes T1-R can handle almost every driving situation in the city and highway as well. Braking is really good also. Once, when I had to stop the car immediately I had no problem to do so and it saves me some troubles. I can not say anything wrong about it. The car has traveled a total of over 15,000 miles and I have to admit they are quiet and stick to the road on dry and wet asphalt! Before them I had old middle class ttyre set and changed them. I did not expect such driving efficiency on wet asphalt. It surprised me a lot! I am a young driver and I think, especially when you have a diesel that you have to feel the need for speed sometimes. Toyo Proxes T1-R are very good, great on dry and wet. Quiet ones too. I do not have any problems with them. I travel in the city and some longer distance on highways sometimes as well. On average, I do about 2000 miles a month. I will also choose Toyo model when once these will wear down. Not sure yet if it will be exactly the same one yet though. I bought the tyres for the upcoming season. The predecessors were some other premium class model. The difference is quite noticeable. I feel way better grip while driving. On dry as well as wet, the traction is perfect. Good suppression of inequalities and good behavior on potholes. Attractive tyre look. Really good tyres at a reasonable price. I use the car both in the city and on the higway if needed because my wife goes to work 50 miles a day and consider them to be very good, although the noise can be irritating a bit.
