Toyo Proxes T1-R

I have been driving on the Continental ContiSport Contact 5 tyres for some time and I think the Toyo Proxes T1-R are much better. I purchased the Toyo tyres in the size 225/45 R17 94 W, ZR rated and the first noticeable difference is a noise level. They are very quiet and they are a way more comfortable than my previous Continentals. My vehicle is very stable even over 150 mph (of course on the German motorways;)). It is difficult to tell whether they are equally stable in rainy weather conditions as I did not develop such a high speed on a wet road. In dry conditions, the Toyo Proxes T1-R provide so astonishing grip that I have an impression like my car was sticked to the road. The fuel consumption is lower than it was while I was using Continental tyres. I have read somewhere that all Toyo tyres tend to wear out quickly but I will be able to tell more about their durability after two seasons. I suppose that Continentals had a harder rubber compound. I am equipped with some Tyoyo tyres for a winter season as well. I am very happy with a quality of the Toyo Proxes T1-R and I think it is not worth paying more for different premium tyres as you will not feel a difference at all. I drive rather smoothly and do not exceed the speed limit. I decided to add some review in order to share my opinion with all drivers. The Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres are fantastic. They provide a solid grip and safety in all weather conditions. It is a great pleasure to drive a car on these tyres, especially on a motorway. The tyres are doing well on a wet surface although I have a quite powerful vehicle (260 horsepower, 340 n/m). Recently, I have mounted the Brembo discs and in combination with these tyres, the braking distance is amazingly short! Now I have a feeling of safety on the road. I cannot rate their durability but I think the tyres should preserve their full performance for several seasons. They are not too loud. I would even say that my car has become more comfortable once I mounted the Toyo Proxes T1-R. In a rainy weather they do their job properly. Really good tyres available in a reasonable price. I am satisfied with a quality of the product I purchased. I know it was a good choice. I would like to recommend them to everyone who drives often in a city. I have changed my old Semperit Speed Life tyres for these Toyo Proxes T1-R. The size is 215/50R17. All Toyo tyres are characterized by an outstanding grip on a dry surface. They are very predictable on a dry road. They are not so good in a wet weather but I think it may be connected with a vehicle weight. Probably in lighter cars they do their job a way better. The Toyo Proxes T1-R tyre is a bit louder than its predecessor. But it is not a disadvantage. After doing about 3500 miles I have noticed the first signs of wear. They were a bit loud at the beginning but now everything is ok. I think they rather should not be mounted on heavy vehicles (the weight of my Vauxhall Vectra is over 1,5 t). Generally speaking, these are good tyres for good money. If you have a compact car, I would like to fully recommend the Toyo Proxes T1-R. I you have a bigger vehicle, I would think twice before making a purchase as they are not so perfect in wet conditions. In my opinion, there are no ideal tyres for rainy weather but I can see a clear difference between my old Semperit and these Toyo Proxes in terms of their wet grip performance. Read more Collapse

I have decided to purchase the Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres because I had really good memories concerning this particular brand. Another reason assuring me that my choice was right is my fast and aggressive driving style (I read somewhere that these tyres are recommended to such drivers). My vehicle is a 166 horsepower Mazda 6 with front wheel drive (the first generation). I have the following impressions after some time of usage: they have an excellent grip in corners, especially when taking them at a high speed. Apart from high speed cornering their braking distance in dry conditions is very good. It is a bit worse in a dry weather. The Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres are comfortable and surprisingly quiet. I cannot tell a lot about their durability after such a short period of time. However, I care about the tyres, I try to maintain correct tyre pressures for the load and speed conditions. The tyres look good, they have a nice tread pattern. From my point of view, the Toyo Proxes T1-R constitute a top of premium brand tyres. I purchased the Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres because they have been recommended to me by my firend and I do not regret my decision. My driving style is rather smooth and careful. I do not have to prove anything on the road. I noticed an increase of fuel consumption after a montage (it increased from 4,9 to 5,2l – computer indication). Sometimes the tyres are louder but I think it depends on a type of a surface. I had a dangerous situation on the road. I was driving at high speed on a corner and I thought I will wipe out but, fortunately, the Toyo Proxes T1-R helped me to stay on the road. After this terrifying moment I have decided not to repeat my irresponsible behaviour. Although I have changed my driving habits I feel much safer on the road because I know that I have best quality tyres. The only thing that could be better is the price. I used the Toyo Proxes T1-R for several autumn months. They are characterized by a very good grip on a dry road. As I do not drive aggressively and I use the car mostly in the city, I won't tell my impressions with several hundred mies of driving. When it comes to the city, they are perfectly fine. As for the wet surface, there were moments when they lost a little traction when trying to start quicker than usually. The tyres are quite hard, which is fine for me. When it comes to noise, you can not say that they are louder than the competitive brands, but they are not particularly quiet either, I would say that they are just on the normal level. I bought new tyres from among premium brands for the previous car - it was different size though. In the spring I changed my car and it was necessary to buy saome tyres. Premium tyres were not an option due to the price, so guided by the price and opinions, I decided to buy TOYO Proxes T1-R. At the beginning I was happy with the good choice because they gave me quite the joy while cornering, nice braking, but I never started sharply. The tyres mounted on the front axle began to worn off slightly. During the last ride in the rain, traction control had to do it's job all the time. I've been using Toyo Proxes T1-R for two seasons. When I bought them, they were not yet in official sale I think, so I was a little afraid of them, but the earlier models had good reviews I took my chances and I do not regret it. They have never let me down. They perfectly hold on to the road and traction is the most important for me. Even on wet surfaces they do very well (they drain water well even) They give a sense of confidence and full control of the vehicle. They dampen the uneven roads and their durability is also great. The Proxes T1-R are perfectly suitable for driving in local climate. The tyre drains water rather nicely, entering a deeper puddle after a havier rain at a speed of 60-70 mph is not a problem at all. The situation is the same when the surface is only wet, without standing water - here the tyre is doing well too. It behaves very well on a dry surface. As for cornering, compound could be a bit harder as some vehicles does not like soft tyres - but it still outclasses some other top level brands, which I had fitted previously on this car. Hello. I bought Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres in the beginning of summer, covered a distance of around 4000 miles. As for now, no signs of wear, maybe because they have been made in Japan. Driving on them is a real pleasure, they suppress the ruts and potholes quite nicely, they stick tight to the road when driving aggresively as well. I never had even one situation when I lost the control of the vehicle. Wet road, rainy weather or sunny day - no difference for this tyre model. I am really impressed. All the best and try them! The tyres I have purchased are okay, but they are a little bit too loud for me. However it is not a really big issue as this tyre model is safe. Toyo Proxes T1-R can handle almost every driving situation in the city and highway as well. Braking is really good also. Once, when I had to stop the car immediately I had no problem to do so and it saves me some troubles. I can not say anything wrong about it. The car has traveled a total of over 15,000 miles and I have to admit they are quiet and stick to the road on dry and wet asphalt! Before them I had old middle class ttyre set and changed them. I did not expect such driving efficiency on wet asphalt. It surprised me a lot! I am a young driver and I think, especially when you have a diesel that you have to feel the need for speed sometimes. Toyo Proxes T1-R are very good, great on dry and wet. Quiet ones too. I do not have any problems with them. I travel in the city and some longer distance on highways sometimes as well. On average, I do about 2000 miles a month. I will also choose Toyo model when once these will wear down. Not sure yet if it will be exactly the same one yet though. I bought the tyres for the upcoming season. The predecessors were some other premium class model. The difference is quite noticeable. I feel way better grip while driving. On dry as well as wet, the traction is perfect. Good suppression of inequalities and good behavior on potholes. Attractive tyre look. Great grip no matter the conditions! Durability is on the top level and so far no sign of any wear. I think that they will survive at least 5 seasons but will see. The only disadvantage is that they are a little loud but not so that it would be disturbing in any way. You can hear it but it is not inconvenient at all. Really good tyres at a reasonable price. I use the car both in the city and on the higway if needed because my wife goes to work 50 miles a day and consider them to be very good, although the noise can be irritating a bit. Very nice looking tyre, very impressed with dry and wet grip levels, low noise level, and not too much roll, always had dunlop sp sport maxx on this car and the are an amazing tyre for grip on wet and dry but never lasted that long, have toyo proxy sport on my opc 235/35/19 not as good as the t1rs. I have these tires for 3 months. I heard that they are great on dry roads, especially in the corners, but in fact, I'm surprised - great! :) I use in my size 205/45/16 Corolla G6 and I feel really safe. This is a very good tire, I use them for 12 years (3 sets). Ideal for dry carefully in the rain. in its Megance 2000 I 195/50 R 15 in the Mondeo in 2004, I have the size 205/55 R16. Mondeo I am pleased with them so as to keep the dry and the wet (even up well with slush), but Megance is not as good on dry in all I see no difference, but in the wet is slightly less than the development, that does not mean it is bad. I bought the car with the Falken tires, they were horrible! they made a huge noise. Their grip on wet ground was zero. I bought Toyos after reading many reviews and exploitation of these tires confirms 100% efficiency. The tires are perfect. First, the silence in the car :) good grip in the wet and the dry. I have not done a lot of kilometers with the Toyo tire thanks to the tire but I avoided a serious collision! I like aggressive driving and my car is powerful. As original equipment I had Dunlop SP2030 Sport. I threw after 12 000 km. They were much too hard. Now I Toyo and I am very happy! I was driving on toykach 4 seasons made me half of Europe under different conditions and on different surfaces. I surprised myself negatively. 215/40 on hard uneven surfaces but explains everything. So far, I've used for a season (I made about 16 million kilometers) I can already say something on it :) They are great on dry pavement. They are not too loud, they look very nice! In the dry they behave really well, but the noise, which nevertheless decreased slightly after traveling thousands of miles, is a failure. Fatal tire for wet conditions. ABS has a job. Very good tire for driving dynamics. Profile 50 is not very high, so it is quite difficult but thanks to you. Auto likely to lead, not float over bumps, not wedged in the corner mirrors. Before I had Bridgestone Potenza RE050A. Very good tire and cheaper than the previous one. Especially in the rain, a wonderful traction, it performs well in the winding turns. Grip in dry super! These tires (T1-R 195/50/15) I have done about 2500 KM on them in the wet and the dry. I have tested their grip and I'm really surprised :) In the wet sometimes they can lose traction when cornering at high speed, but in the dry the car glued to the road as they are :) low noise, as the Honda Civic 5 G is not silent :). T1-R is a great tire to drive mainly in dry conditions during the two seasons, the rain took me three times and almost ended in tragedy. It is also suitable for rolling on the dust. Very good price for the quality. Great grip, the car really breaks on those tires. Very quickly, the confrontation.
