The Michelin Pilot Sport 3 is a high class summer tyre. The Michelin designers have developed the tyre using an innovative formula, making this the first environmentally friendly sporty tyre thanks to its construction. The Pilot Sport 3 combines a specially designed rubber compound with an innovative tread pattern. This combination gives the tyre some exceptionally effective features: above average energy efficiency, excellent grip and accurate steering in even the most extreme conditions. The Pilot Sport 3 also offers an extended lifetime, which guarantees the longest possible mileage.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3

The Michelin Pilot Sport 3 uses top-of-the-range technology. The Tread Deformation Software System involves the use of a specially prepared compound that helps maintain an optimal tread temperature in any weather, which is also important when driving at high speeds. At low performance levels, the rubber reaches the correct temperature after just a few seconds. Increases in speed in turn result in tread stiffening, which prevents overheating. The use of this technology means that the Pilot Sport 3 retains ideal traction performance in any situation.

The tyre is also noted for its flexibility, which minimises the effect of deformation and protects the tyre against mechanical damage. The Anti-Surf system has been used to improve performance on wet surfaces. The perfectly balanced profile ensures dynamic dispersal of water or other liquids, significantly reducing the risk of skidding. The manufacturer has also improved long-distance performance and braking distances, which have been significantly reduced, resulting in a big improvement in passenger safety. The Green Power rubber compound uses nanostructures. Two types of polymers, the Long Lasting Elastomer and the Elastomer Wet Grip, improve service life, durability, resistance to damage and wear and provide excellent flexibility, as well as improved performance on wet surfaces. The Michelin Pilot Sport 3 is the ideal solution for mid-range and premium passenger cars. It also performs exceptionally well in sports cars, small cars, estates and limousines. It is also suited to station wagons, smaller roadster type vehicles and coupés. The Pilot Sport 3 guarantees safety and a long lifetime. The Pilot Sport 3 offers the Michelin guarantee.

Some of these criticisms are hilarious. I appreciate the comments are global, but part of Chinglish is funny. Anyway back to the tyres. I like Michelin PILOT SPORT 3 and it is a personal thing, and after so many cars and so many different sizes, one thing that I find is constant tire wear. Now I find when I replace my tyres on cars here in the UK, you can count on it being a mixture of wet and dry most of the year cannot we 50 / 50? Other brands grip very well, some have lasted for some time, some refuse to wear out and crumble (Pirelli) and others just refuse to enter a stop. I choose Michelin PILOT SPORT 3 now because apart from lasting almost twice as long term as budget tyres, low rolling noise is important, but a bug bear of mine is when a tire is half worn out and you hit white lines to be dragged in any direction - although the Michelin Pilot Sport 3 seem to wear and are much more predictable than others. Yes, they are expensive, but they last, they are well, they are comfortable, but they also more grip when you need it. Curiously Road 3 Michelin Pilot bikes on work just as well. and no, I do not work for them. Read more Collapse

The best tyre off, I noticed how much more speed than I can take corners without the rental car to go and how much harder can I accelerate out of turns at very low speed. The grip in the wet is phenomenal, the first time I drove in the wet on tires on the front I forgot it was raining handling has not changed until I noticed the car understeer in tight corners . I do not have the Michelin PILOT SPORT 3 is on the rear axle, for their adaptation to the front, I noticed that the car now loves oversteer and lost the rear in wet conditions due to many levels higher front end grip. My rear tyres are not near the wear limit but I will modernize back to the Michelin PILOT SPORT 3 next week. It is no coincidence that the high-powered cars such as koenigseggs ect all come with either pilot super sport tyres or sports cup 2 tyres. If you have a Fiesta ST MEANS FORGET any other tyre, these are the ones to have, I have tried many upper and middle range Hankook V12 evo as (current rear tires) and Uniroyal RS3, and Pirelli P Zero Contisc3 and while that they have some good features blow out the water from the Michelin PILOT SPORT 3 Read more Collapse

I was looking for a long summer tyre suitable for my BMW E91 318d with sport suspension (m-pack) and I decided to buy Michelin until very good results. Now I am partially satisfied with Michelin PILOT SPORT 3. Very good handling, high precision targeting, even in the rain - a good braking performance - moderate rolling resistance (average consumption has not increased) - good resistance to mechanical damage - a speed of about 30-40 km / h leads to an angle of 30 degrees to the curb, the wheel slipped along the edge, rim and tyre striped no trace - a comfort to inequality amortization (non Run Flat tyre) that the side is not great. Disadvantages: - high turnover volume. The sound of tires (225/45R17) already appears at 60 km / h to 100 kmh merger with Air noise (if not annoying). I expected better performance, despite the fact that it is a class of sports tyre. Do not judge the durability, I drove 3000 km only, no signs of wear. Tyre Michelin PILOT SPORT 3 is in many respects better than the PS2. First of all, wet performance is better than any other summer tyre in this dimension. The tyre is exceptionally resistant to aquaplaning (with the dimension), which allows for much safer and more enthusiastic driving in the rain. Behavior on dry roads leaves nothing to complain about. The braking distance can be slightly shorter than the other tyres, however grip cornering and stability at fast speeds (above 260 km / h on German motorways) are at the highest level. The tyre rubs off faster, but it's a plus soft compound, providing such parameters. The tyre worth its price. I would recommend Michelin PILOT SPORT 3 to those who like fast driving a powerful car. I've tried various top brand tyres and these are far the best on my fiesta. Sure grip and handling are great, a lot better than the tyres it came with, I always thought the front end was going to slide away, but with these Michelin's my fiesta stick to the road like glue. Noise wise, a bit! but nothing to rattle my cage. A great buy in my opinion and dealing with Oponeo is a pleasure delivering them to where I want, when I want so will be back guaranteed to buy more tyres when needed. Lastly although I've only had them five months or so, they still look brand new. Thank you Oponeo. Read more Collapse

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 are definitely worth the money spent for them. The highest class, as Michelin should be. Driving on dry is as on any other tyres. But what happens on wet is something great. The car is like on tracks, the grip is awesome. You feel that you are fully in control of the car and it goes where you want it to go. And I think it's the most important thing, to feel safe. Michelin Pilot Sport 3 are my yet another tyres from the same brand and I wasn't let down yet another time. I highly recommend Micheline Pilot Sport 3 to everyone! Read more Collapse

I always seek the best tyres available. In the past I have had bridgestone potenzas both s02 and s03 pp and goodyear eagle f1s on this car. The pilot sport 3s are the best of all these. Great grip in the dry or the wet. I do not care about economy or noise I want safe secure grip in all conditions and these tyres have given me that over the last year. In addition they seem to be wearing well with lots of life left. Read more Collapse

My journey involves country roads to two lanes and city driving and tyres perform great in all circumstances. Dry weather is good grip and the car handles well and handle the wet weather is fantastic. These are used instead of Bridgestone tyres and they seem to be much more durable for almost twice as long. Overall Michelin Pilot Sport 3 are defiantly worth paying the premium price for a premium brand. Read more Collapse

I am only a simple user and not a specialist, but I have to admit that compared to Continental tyres I got at the showroom with my new S60, Michelin Pilot Sport 3 are way better. My fuel consumption is the same, noise level is the same as well. Driving comfort is even better. I can see only advantages, therefore I can recommend Michelin Pilot Sport 3 with a clear conscience. I previously drove on Yokohama ADVAN Sport V103 - they were good but I wasn't entirely happy with them. A 4x4 car and I had the impression that they sometimes had side slips on faster corners. The PILOT SPORT 3s didn't really improve this situation, sometimes they seem a bit better and sometimes worse. Yokohama certainly have low abrasion, we'll see how Michelin do. Read more Collapse

Have nearly 10,000km up on the Michelin PILOT SPORT 3 tyres. Overall they are very good, only slight criticism I would have is that when taking off from a stand still in the wet they can spin up easier than expected. But braking and corning in the wet is fine, no issues there. Wear is ok compared to other tyres we have had on the car. They are now at 5mm Read more Collapse

I have the tyres on my first-generation Golf convertible. Under the bonnet a bit trendy so currently power at 200bhp. The tyres grip so well that, with the low weight and so much power, it is impossible to break traction on take-off. I can't assess the durability because the mileage is too low and the service life too short. Read more Collapse

So far the best tyres I have had. Grip in the dry and wet is sensational despite the low weight of the car. The only inconvenience is that they are quite noisy and wear quickly, but this is the price for phenomenal grip. For someone looking for a tyre for aggressive sporty driving, this is probably the best possible choice. Read more Collapse

The tyres do very well in fast corners in the dry and wet, you really have to make an effort to lose grip. Opinion from outside IE

For my leaving is the best tire of walking. I ride on Golf 6 GTI 230hp, a little power. I drive very fast and often attack on curves, roundabouts ... The tires have held up remarkably well. I frequent a lot of the German highway, 230/240 km / h curve defects. I would tend to say that the product is exceptional, I do an average of 10 000 km with the front tires on all that I try (8-9 different brands) there is 6000 km I always find myself not at the half. Only negative point is a little price rise but the tire is safety. Read more Collapse
