Information on the tyre:
Michelin Latitude Sport is a tyre that is designed to provide you the most comfortable travel. A very important asset of this model is its high durability which is useful in conditions often encountered by SUVs and 4x4 vehicles.
This tyre model was developed in cooperation with Porsche and has been their world partner since 2002. Michelin Latitude Sport is approved for models such as Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q3, Q5, Honda CR-V, Mercedes GL, AMG M, Volvo XC90, Range Rover Evoque or VW Touareg.
Michelin Latitude Sport was created using technologies applied in the manufacture of sport tyres . The elements taken from that field are the tread pattern and the rubber compound. In combination with other technologies, these components help the tyre meet the requirements of sport 4x4 vehicles. With its advanced design, the tyre maintains an excellent contact with the surface in any conditions and under the load characteristics for such vehicles. On the other hand, its special structure is resistant to deformations that may result from such loads. In some sizes, the tyre is equipped with additional reinforcement (XL).
Michelin is a French tyre manufacturing group which owns brands like BFGoodrich, Kleber, Kormoran, Riken and Tiger. Michelin products are rated in the top (premium) class. The history of Michelin began in 1889, when brothers Eduard and Andre Michelin took over a factory of agricultural machines and rubber components located in Clermont-Ferrand. Having acquired the plant, the Michelin family quickly extended the production to other rubber articles. However, it was later when they developed a solution which gave them fame and a permanent share in the history of the tyre industry. The invention was the first disconnectable pneumatic tyre.
