Goodyear EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric in the size of 225/45R17 fitted to the VW Passat Estate. Very good summer tyre for demanding drivers. Very good grip regardless of the conditions (wet or dry). Soft compound means that the tyre is literally stick t the road like glued. On the other hand, they will last 30 - 35k miles (two years maybe). I am really amazed by the opinions saying that it is wearing too fast. Its superior level of grip is directly related to the type of rubber compound used. I bought these tyres as replacement for F1 GS-D3, but I have to say that it better on dry only. In the wet it is just slightly worse (which is strange considering that Goodyear claims that they have improved its handling in wet). The looks isn't that great anymore either - V shape was way better. Its strongest point is definitely better contact patch. New tyres stick to the tarmac even if you really floor your car. I wanted to buy Advan Sport from Yokohama, but I think it's fair to say that Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric was still a good choice. Read more Collapse

I used tyres in the size of 225/45/17. Super grip on wet and dry. Unfortunately, the front tyres are worn just after 30 K KM. I am going to switch back to Continental and do around 60 k. I must say here that this is not a coincidence, since I take care of her and calibrates every few months. Super tyres :) I really recommend. The excellent grip on dry, wet well. I drive very fast and very aggressive, and these tyres are suitable for this :) We know that this is not a slick :) but this is one of the tyres better. In wet conditions when braking, the ABS turns on immediately, but you still do not slow down. This tyre model is not suitable for higher engine power cars. Tyres are good on dry surfaces. It is really hard to break traction. Very precise while cornering. Wet a very positive experience. It is difficult to achieve aquaplaning. Very good tyre in this price range. I am very demanding about comfort, so it could be a little quieter but it is definitely better than MICHELIN, PIRELLI or even BRIDGESTON.
