Riken is a Japanese brand founded in 1917. The company manufactures economy class tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, light commercial vehicles and trucks. The Riken brand has emerged in the awareness of customers worldwide, exporting tyres to foreign markets. In 1997, the company was acquired by Michelin, and has been owned by them ever since.

225/75 R16 tyres are produced with delivery vehicles and 4x4s in mind. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall where it is clearly provided in a form of a string of signs. The first number informs about the tread width of the tyre and it is provided in millimetres. Here it is 225 mm. The second number equals the 225/75 R16 tyre profile's height and its percentage ratio to the tyre's tread width The "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction.
