205/55 R17 Tyres

205/55 R17 tyres are installed in sports cars. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall. The first number informs about the tread width of the tyre. The number is provided in millimetres and in the case of the 205/55 R17 tyre it equals 205 mm. The second number equals the percentage ratio of the tyre's profile height to its tread width. Here it is 55% out of the 205 mm of tread width. The "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction.
