The Michelin Group is the largest European tyre manufacturer and one of the world leaders in its industry. The company is famous for innovative solutions and brands that are trusted by customers. The company was established in France in 1889 by Michelin brothers. Currently, the group has as many as 72 production plants in 19 countries (it has been present in Poland since 1994, and its factory is located in Olsztyn). The company manufactures tyres for cars and trucks, agricultural machinery, bicycles and motorcycles. The Michelin product portfolio also includes tyres for aircraft and space shuttles. For many years, the company supplied tyres for Formula 1 – it withdrew after the end of the 2006 season.

255/70 R15 Tyres

255/70 R15 tyres are installed in passenger cars, delivery vehicles and 4x4s. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall where it is provided in a form of a string of signs. The tread width of the tyre is provided in millimetres by the first number in the tyre size label (here it is 255 mm). The second number equals the tyre profile's height and its percentage ratio to the tyre's tread width. For the 255/70 R15 tyre model it is 70% out of 255 mm.
