The Michelin Group is the largest European tyre manufacturer and one of the world leaders in its industry. The company is famous for innovative solutions and brands that are trusted by customers. The company was established in France in 1889 by Michelin brothers. Currently, the group has as many as 72 production plants in 19 countries (it has been present in Poland since 1994, and its factory is located in Olsztyn). The company manufactures tyres for cars and trucks, agricultural machinery, bicycles and motorcycles. The Michelin product portfolio also includes tyres for aircraft and space shuttles. For many years, the company supplied tyres for Formula 1 – it withdrew after the end of the 2006 season.

145/80 R15 Tyres

145/80 R15 tyres are produced with family cars in mind. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall in a form of a string of signs. The first number informs about the tread width of the 145/80 R15 tyre. The second number denotes the height of the tyre's profile, e.g. 80% out of the 145 mm of tread width. The number 15 constitutes the diameter of the wheel rim (provided in inches) on which the 145/80 R15 tyre should be installed. The "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction.
