225/40/18 can not assess these very large tires. Used in the Scottish Highlands this winter and did exactly what I wanted from them. So good, in fact, they should be installed for each car here by law! My Bridgestone Potenzas fitted to my vrs Octavia got hard enough in the cold and had to come off as they turned and noisy. None of these problems with Q3 Vred. probably not as good as a winter, but it takes a little easier and you will not go wrong. Never once stuck with them 5 *****
