Yokohama Advan Sport V105

Having used Yokohama's top of the range AD08s (great for trackdays - useless in the wet or on bumpy roads), I wanted something a little more flexible and suited to general road use. The price of the 105s was good and the dry grip is excellent while the wet grip is decent. However, they don't have precise steering response of the AD08s. I can forgive that - after all, this is a tyre designed to be more suited to the road. However, they fall down in other areas too, being very noisy, with a poor ride quality especially as they wear down. And boy - do they wear quickly - faster than my AD08s! I've always had a Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 but then I found Yokohama v105 which are cheap 4 new tyres for £ 200. For me, goodyear lover, it's so hard to change my mind, but they are beautiful in the car and winter is coming soon, they say, and I don't think I even got mileage after good years, I had over 20,000 miles. in late summer they stick and fall, but may not be a little louder than 72dB. I bought these tires with a skeptical attitude, however, I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent handling on dry and wet roads. You can quickly enter a turn without fear of falling, moreover, are fairly quiet and comfortable. With a clear conscience, I recommend - no one should complain about these. The best tyres in this class. Recommended for dry and wet conditions. The car runs like clockwork with everything balanced, even at higher speeds (on the wet well). I recommend these donuts and the Yokohama brand (other tyres as well) really great product from Poland (tyres fitted on the first fitting). That's competitive and reasonable price for the size. Tyres in terms of aesthetics are rather not original, but have dynamic qualities, price is very good and car sticks to the road well. Diesel car fired several bursts without slides. After changing to winter tyres, consumption felt to about 20% and about 0.5 L. In conclusion, I am very satisfied and I recommend buying this model. Read more Collapse

This is the second time with branded tyres in this car. My first Yokohama Advan Sport (225/45/17 ZR) stayed durable for approx. 80 000 km. Fact that a tyre broke forced me to buy new Advan Sport V105 222/45/17 ZR 94Y. Very good behavior in bends at higher speeds !!! Recommendable on both dry and wet surfaces. Read more Collapse

they are the first Yokohama set I have tried in my life; after about 5,000 km I can say that they are comfortable and with excellent road holding (tried with moderately sporty driving). Fuel consumption in line with other brands tried; tread wear still impossible to assess (only 5,000 km). Read more Collapse

After fitting, I was quite impressed, especially in the wet - they grip very well. I can see a slight increase in fuel consumption compared to the old tyres and they are slightly noisier, but this is fully compensated for by the very good grip. Read more Collapse

I haven't done much mileage on them yet, so I can't comment on wear. Braking, acceleration, fast cornering, great :) Also very good in the wet, I have yet to experience a skid when braking, even when braking hard in a heavy downpour. Read more Collapse

I would recommend this tyre for mixed use excluding sports driving, it seems to get tired if you drive with a bit of bite in the bends; good grip in both dry and wet conditions...the price/quality ratio is worth remembering. Read more Collapse
