Technology description:
Semperit Speed-Life 2 are economy tyres for the summer season. They were designed for passenger cars and soon became very popular in Europe. The presented model is one of the best in its class and got good ratings in independent tests, e.g., OAMTC evaluated them as being worthy of recommending.
Semperit Speed-Life 2 come with a directional tread pattern which ensures a high level of safety on wet roads. The computer-optimised groove system is in a V shape. With this tread pattern, water is drained out very quickly from under the crown ply, meaning that the vehicle maintains stability and is resistant to aquaplaning.
Semperit Speed-Life 2 also performs well on dry surfaces. Among other things, this is through the use of a smooth rib in the central part of the tread. With this, the tyre reacts better to acceleration, manoeuvring and has a shorter braking distance.
Tread is not everything, however. This model was manufactured using a modern rubber compound that ensures wear resistance and helps to reduce the fuel consumption of the vehicle (as the tyre has a low rolling resistance). This means that with Semperit Speed-Life 2, travelling is not only safe but also very cost-efficient.
Information on the manufacturer: Semperit comes from Austria and is owned by Continental, a German tyre group. Having Continental’s advanced technologies at hand allowed the production of a tyre of excellent quality at attractive prices. What’s interesting, is that the name Semperit comes from Latin. The expression “semper it” can be translated as “always running” or “always on route”. In Poland before World War 2, there was a flourishing subsidiary and factory of the Austrian brand. In Krakow they called the Polish Rubber Plant “Semperit”.
