Nokian Wetproof is a premium summer tyre. It features a double safety zone. The asymmetric tread divides the tyre into two parts. The stabilization zone is located outside. From the inside - a safe driving zone. It facilitates manoeuvring and ensures wet grip.
The manufacturer has developed Nokian Wetproof for Central European countries. The makers assure that the tyre performs perfectly when used on poor quality road. And creating a summer model that ensures this is particularly difficult. It has to perform from spring frosts to November's rainy weather.
Tyres are a particularly important element of the car, improving safety. Driving on a hot day can be as dangerous as during a violent storm. Violent weather conditions have been common in recent years, which is why choosing the right tyre is so important. Nokian Tyres has experience in developing this type of tyre, as exemplified by the Wetproof.
With safety in mind, Nokian Tyres has developed the tread depth indicator (DSI). It is placed on the ribs of the tyre and allows reading the current tread height in millimetres. Embossed digits wear off as tyre wear progresses. On the side wall there is an area where it is possible to record the tyre's position, pressure and bolt tightening torque. The Nokian Wetproof tyre has been awarded the TÜV seal of approval. It is granted by an independent research institute. The award is a proof of the highest quality and performance in comparison to the products of the competition.
Nokian Tyres is a manufacturer associated mainly with winter tires. No wonder it unveiled the world's first tyre for this season in 1934. In 2004, the world saw Nokian Tyres tires with retractable spikes. In 2013, the company showed that its tires can withstand a lot. The company's test driver set a world record for ice speed at 335.713 km/h.
