My dear malcontents. This is a summer tyre and that is how it is categorised by the manufacturer, the M+S designation in this case refers more to mud. I have a Michelin Alpin for winter and so far see no competition for this tyre. I tested the Tour HP once on the last snow in mountain conditions (route Szczyrk - Zar Mountain) and it was dramatic, which is what I expected. In summer conditions the tyre is great for asphalt and light off-road. I haven't noticed that it is noisy, but maybe it is a matter of soundproofing the car. Apparently cars use less fuel with this tyre. I haven't noticed that either, but the tread wears much slower than my previous Dunlop ST20. Read more Collapse

I wanted Yokohama tyres for the summer... unfortunately, after placing the order and paying for them, it turned out that suddenly they were not available at the given price. I bought (paying extra) Michelin, because there was no time to wait... After buying Michelin tyers, Yokohama appeared again at an attractive price... and the tyres themselves? noisy, especially compared to the Toyo I had before. At motorway speeds in Germany, there is no feeling of sure-footedness, something is missing ... it is difficult to describe what, but I do not feel confident ... overall a decent tyre, but as a typical summer does not work Read more Collapse

First 2 - 3,000 km tyres very and very quiet, high ride comfort. After ~3000 km the noise increased or I got used to the good quality and want more :) Resistance to aquaplaning is average at 100+ kmh . The previous 14" UNIROYAL RAIN EXPERT tyres for a 2WD car of similar weight and base were much better at aquaplaning. Reduced fuel consumption (LPG) by 1-1.5 ltr/100 km compared to Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V1. Highway - 80% @ 100+ kmh / city - 20%. Read more Collapse

I recommend it, it is one of the best tyres. Extremely quiet, soft, which suppresses all bumps. Stable, providing full control over the vehicle. Definitely for those who spend 3/4 of their time on asphalt and the rest off-road. Recommended for all SUVs and especially for Grand Vitara. Do not look for other substitutes Michelin Latitude Tour will give you satisfaction. Read more Collapse

I got them with the car and I wouldn't buy them for the money. Aside from the noise, the tyre is OK, but it's an all-season tyre, it's never going to be quiet or good in the winter - it's average. In winter, with a good 4x4, it is OK as long as there is no ice, because braking sucks... all in all, no revelations... Read more Collapse

Technology description: Michelin LATITUDE TOUR HP is based on “Terrain-proof” technology. There is a special rubber compound in the tread, derived from the solutions applied in industrial tyres. The designers have taken care that the modernised compound allows for journeys in challenging off-road areas without worrying that the tyres will be destroyed. The tyre is much more resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage than the previous models. StabiliGrip technology enables better use of the sipes which guarantees an appropriate grip and driving stability. Additionally, their arrangement helps to dampen the noise emitted by the tyres.

Information on the manufacturer: Michelin group was founded in 1889 by two Frenchmen: Eduard and André Michelin. Thanks to the long-lasting tradition and innovative technologies, Michelin is currently the world co-leader on the tyre manufacturing market. The French group has won the world championship titles in Formula 1, WRC and GP Moto. Michelin is also a majority shareholder in such brands as Riken, Taurus, Siamtyre, Tigar, Euromaster, Warrior, Kormoran, Recamic, Kleber and BFGoodrich.
