    235/45 R18

    Verified review

    Opinion from outside IE

The CrossClimate 2 235/45 R18 has now covered more than 10,000 kilometres. I can wholeheartedly recommend them to any driver. In summer, they have a relatively low noise level when driving. I don't feel any significant difference compared to summer tyres of a similar class. In the wet, I only managed to break traction when starting off with a kickdown. Even in heavy rain, cornering is not too much of a problem and the car stays firmly on the road without the help of ESP. In winter conditions, the tyres also proved highly effective. Although there were times when conditions exceeded the capabilities of the tyres, they would have exceeded those of any tyre not fitted with chains. They also passed the test of driving in glaze, during which I managed to cover 40 km without falling off the road. All in all, the tyres have performed faultlessly. They have not let me down once, and their grip limit is where any driver would expect it to be. I have never been surprised by a sudden lack of grip. These tyres are an excellent choice for both city use and longer journeys. Read more Collapse

I have had the opportunity to test them in almost all conditions (I have had them since December 23). We are about to see how it will be in the height of summer, although we have already had some very warm days in May, so I don't expect much difference. The emergency braking passed with a perfect grade! Read more Collapse

The tyres perform brilliantly. I've had mine since November, so winter and spring test passed. I don't know yet how it performs in the heat of summer, but my impression is that it performs just as well. Overall quiet, on dry, wet, snowy surfaces they grip nicely. Recommended. So far the only all-season tyres that I trust 100%. They grip the road brilliantly in all conditions. Although they are not the cheapest, they are worth every penny spent. I definitely recommend them! Read more Collapse

Michelin CrossClimate 2 is a premium multi-season option, ideal for safety-conscious drivers of small and medium SUVs, compact and electric cars, as well as sedans and their sporty versions.

Choosing Michelin CrossClimate 2:

  • You save time and money on seasonal tyre changes.

  • You can enjoy safe travel regardless of the weather.

  • You benefit from the high performance of your tyres throughout their lifetime.

  • You benefit from lower fuel consumption.

State-of-the-art technologies are responsible for excellent performance all year round, in terms of grip or braking in a wide range of conditions. These include thermoadaptive compounds that adapt to the temperature of the road surface. The V-Ramp chamfer of the tread blocks improves braking on wet roads, while the P-edge on snow. The directional tread pattern ensures that water is effectively channelled away from under the wheels.

Another interesting solution is MaxTouch Construction, which increases the durability of the tyre. It ensures that the forces generated during acceleration, braking and cornering are evenly distributed across the tyre contact patch. It is also important to mention the Cool Running sides which are responsible for maximising fuel efficiency or battery range - in electric cars. Michelin CrossClimate 2, compared to CrossClimate+, offers 10% less rolling resistance.
