Imperial Ecosport

Type: Summer tyre

Class: Economy — a great choice for drivers who value stable performance and reasonable prices

Intended use: Passenger cars of medium and high class

Tread: Asymmetrical — divided into two parts, where one is responsible for performance on dry roads and the second ensures safety on wet surfaces

Sizes: From 15 to 20 inches

Sporty performance at prices accessible to everyone? Imperial Ecosport is a product long awaited by many drivers. Innovative approach, experience in design and a range of advanced technologies available so far only with high-class cars, helped to create this groundbreaking model for dynamic driving.

Excellent handling performance is provided by a modern asymmetric tread. This innovative system allows the simultaneous control of a diverse group of parameters. It consists of two autonomous parts.

  • The inner zone, with its optimised system of deep central grooves, instantly removes water and dirt from the tyre. This is extremely important during dynamic cornering. The rough surface prevents the accumulation of liquid under the front of the tyre, minimising the risk of grip loss and aquaplaning.

  • The outer blocks provide excellent sporty performance on dry roads. the extended system of elements with irregular edges guarantees optimal grip, even at very high speeds. In addition, the reinforced side zones stabilise the structure, maintaining the car's controlled track, regardless of the route.

The asymmetric tread is not the only element responsible for the sporty nature of the tyre. The designers of Imperial Ecosport selected a modern rubber blend. Well-balanced proportions guarantee that the model maintains its properties, even at very high temperatures. It wears slowly and does not melt on hot asphalt.

Despite its typical sporty characteristics, Imperial Ecosport provides very high driving comfort . The undeniable travel pleasure is the result of the combined operation of the tread and the well-balanced rubber blend. The tyre effectively dampens vibrations generated when driving on uneven roads, whereas the closed system provides a very high acoustic comfort inside the vehicle.

I would like to recommend the Imperial Ecosport. I have been thinking a lot about purchasing a set of new tyres. I had nearly 10-year-old Michelins mounted on my vehicle and they had to be replaced urgently. I did not want to spend a lot of money (almost 600 GBP) for a new set of premium tyres since my car is 15 years old. I thought it would be better to go for some second-hand premium tyres but even premium brand rubber does not preserve its features after several years. I suspected that some of used tyres may come from crashed vehicles and driving on them may be dangerous. So I decided to take a chance and buy a set of Imperial Ecosport. When I unpacked them together with a courier I was impressed by their quality. I expected to receive some cheap Chinese tyres with unregular tread pattern etc. However, they turned out to be very good. I did not have any problems with balancing them. They are quiet and more stable when compared to my previous tyres. Their rubber compound is a bit hard and with a 45 profile I can feel bumps on the road. It is not a problem because they are very durable. I happened to drive through huge holes and I thought I have damaged the tyres and my vehicle. But nothing happened. Sometimes I am driving fast (faster than 120 mph) and I have a very positive opinion about these Imperials. In conclusion, if you are not an aggressive driver and your driving style is rather smooth it is not worth going for more expensive premium tyres. It is not worth buying second hand tyres as well but it is worth considering a purchase of Imperial Ecosport tyres. Read more Collapse

Before I placed my order for Imperial Ecosport tyres I have been reading about different manufacturers. As for Chinese tyres, their quality is amazing. However, I have an impression that they wear too quickly. Of course, it may be connected with the fact that I do a lot of miles each season (at least 20,000 miles). I think they should stand another season (40,000 miles) but after that I will have to take them off and replace with some different tyres. Sometimes, on a wet surface, the Imperial Ecosport tyres are losing a grip while moving off. Their tread pattern lets me to drive in rainy weather. There are situations when I have problems with braking on the wet road but they are very rare. When it comes to advantages, these tyres have a lot of them. The most important one is the price. The tyres are very quiet (I did not expect that). Furthermore, they have a good grip in corners and they are very predictable on dry surface so a handling is stable and a braking distance is really good on a dry road. All in all, these tyres are worth buying because you still keep a lot of money in your wallet. If you do approximately 5,000-10,000 miles each year, the tyres will preserve their characteristics for many years. I do recommend these Imperials! The tyres are currently fitted to 17" alloys. My car is Honda Accord 1.8 136PS. Read more Collapse

I started to look for some new tires, as usual, by reading reviews on the main website of Oponeo. I was surprised when I checked the price of Imperial Ecosport. It was quite high.I decided to take a chance and purchased them as I have to drive on poor quality roads from time to time. I do not regret my decison. They are perfect for my Citroen C6, which is not a speed demon but rather a flying carpet. First of all, the tyres are good looking. Their tread pattern is similar to one applied in a certain premium brand. Secondly, their quality is superb. Thirdly, they have an outstanding durability. One day when I was driving home from work at night, I drove through a street drain, which was left open by our fabulous road builders (they have not left any warning sign). I thought that I've damaged one wheel and a tyre. However, nothing has happened. The Imperial Ecosport tyres are quiet. They have been delivered to my place within 48 hours. The only drawback of these tyres is a braking distance and a handling on wet surfaces. I do recommend them honestly and I am glad Oponeo list them on their website. Read more Collapse

Disappointment. Yes, I can determine the feelings after the tyres have been torn up. Before that was the michelin pilot sport 255/35/18. Please do not be impressed with these wonderful opinions of these tyres. I bought just with the thought that it is not worth overpaying because it is also a tyre and now I have such a problem that I have to sell it cheaper, buy something reasonable and pay again for the spacers. The tyre, yes, quiet and good amortization in this respect is very cool. If you care about the comfort at a low price, this is a good choice. But for me, driving pleasure breaks as the car floats. I can not drive my car when I changed these tyres. The first day during the trip to work when I was in a hurry and I was used to the car going like on the tracks and suddenly the back of the car is running away. On a straight road the car floats in general there is some unintentional tragedy. for me it is impossible to ride. I am forced to sell a few pennies for sale. Read more Collapse

Generally speaking, the Imperial Ecosport tyres are very good. I was a afraid a bit before purchasing them. Honestly I do not see any difference between Imperial and such brands as Dunlop, Pirelli or different premium manufacturers. It is a real pleasure to drive a car on these tyres, especially on a motorway. I have not any problems with balancing. The tyres are surprisingly quiet and that is one of their greatest advantages.Their tread pattern is interesting. The rubber compound is quite hard but it seems the tyres are rather hard wearing. I have been to Italy and Poland on these tyres and I can recommend them without any doubts. I was not sure wheter to buy a new set of Imperial Ecosport or some second hand tyres but finally I decided to purchase Imperials. This was a good decision. If someone wonders if they are worth buying, I can tell right now, yes, they are. Cheers. Read more Collapse

I have been driving on Pirelli tyres previously and at the very beginning I was afraid of this purchase. Now I can tell that it is not worth paying more for premium brand tyres if there is no any noticable difference. The Imperial Ecosport tyres have a very good grip both on dry and wet surfaces. Their tread is definitely hard wearing despite different comments of my friends, who are driving on European tyres. After doing 10,000 miles the tyres still look like they were brand new. If you have a 100-200 horsepower vehicle you will absolutely see no difference between the Imperial Ecosport and different European premium brand tyres except for price. The tyres are really quiet. If you want to feel safe on the road, it is better to buy a new set of Imperial tyres every three years than drive on old European tyres. Very good tyres available in a reasonable price. tyres for this price in the quality of tyres, 2 or 3 times more expensive. I was worried about bmw ... drive backwards and my lady takes children to kindergarten. I suggested opinions and I do not regret it. Only what we noticed were some problems when balancing. gently shakes the steering wheel at 120 and stops immediately. it does not even bother me, and believe me I'm hoping about that. Slip on wet zero and this is the rear drive. Noise ZERO !!! only the wind noise in the car. after 3000 km you can not see the consumption. maybe a gentle back but you know how to hang on a dry surface. If they last me for 2 seasons, I will be happy, But I can see that more. I will also buy them next. Gas burns 15l per 100, the same as on Firestone winter. I do not judge the color of the tyre because it's funny to me, but it looks cool. Read more Collapse

Formerly Bridgestone Blizzak. Day, dry, temp 7 degrees. First trip to the roundabout with new tyres and a great surprise. The car seemed to float at the exit from the roundabout - I thought - maybe a little air. Pressure 2.5bar - so that's not it. Another roundabout around - a large skid on the outside. Generally, I made on these tyres as much as the return from the garage to the house - maybe 5km. Big surprise after the change from 5-year winter tyres to a worse ones. I have not tested hard braking yet. Generally cheap tyre and fulfill your role for a quiet driver. For someone who likes to play with slides - he will have fun - as the grip is weak. I do not recommend it to an inexperienced driver. This is my first impression. I will try to update later. Read more Collapse

Imperial tyres are my first set of tyres of this class, usually summer tyres I chose from well-known and respected brands which also translated into much higher expenses. Based on several months of using the Imperial brand product, I can definitely say that it was a hit. The tyre is fairly quiet, while it does not transmit any vibrations or uneven surfaces. Combustion the car identical to the previous set. The most I was afraid of this tyre behavior in the wet, but it turns out that the fears were unjustified because the Imperial Ecosport works very well and driving the car while cornering is safe and pleasant. In short a very high quality product for really little money, next time I will also consider choosing this brand. Read more Collapse

My first impression was very good. Rubber soft, no problems with putting on and balancing. They stick to the road relatively well, both on dry and wet surfaces. I would recommend this product and give it the highest rating because it was really great at this price. The spell unfortunately when, after a mileage of 700 km, a tumor bumped out of one side of the tyre. My first thought is a "factory defect". I filed a complaint. Unfortunately, after removing the tyre, it turned out that it was cut from the inside. The most interesting is that I did not score any holes or even abrasions on the curb, even the smallest wells I always avoid, the pressure was correct, and the tyre sold as "reinforced" behaved in this way. I used to drive tyres from European brands (Michelin, Dunlop), the first ones usually roared about 35,000. Imperial tyres are not the first purchase of Asian products, I already rode Zeteeks, Triangle, Wanli (in Chrysler, Peugeot and Fiat and Opel) in all conditions summer and winter tyres and I do not notice any difference. On wet like in all other tyres the braking distance is longer within the natural difference of wet grip. Consumption slightly higher (about 10%), but the price in return is 17% lower. I had no trouble balancing, only harder jump into the rim protective rim, which in these tyres is at an angle of almost 90 degrees. I do not drive violently. Read more Collapse

Previously, I used other brands of Chinese tyres and I was satisfied. They were not perfect but the value for money was very good. That's why I decided to buy Imperials. Unfortunately, there were problems immediately - beating on the steering wheel. The next workshops were not able to cope with the balancing. Finally, I went to a road test. Two tyres proved good. One required optimization on the rim and one was fit only for the exchange that the store recognized. The costs of multiple balancing, transfer and testing were about half the value of the tyres. I do not count the lost time and nerves ... In summary, I do not recommend. Read more Collapse

As in the title, it is a very good tyre for this money, the quality is higher than the price. I was expecting that for a small amount, it would be poor quality, but I was surprised because the heels are really great. The fastest I rode on them was 200km / h and at this speed it was not heard. The tyres are also imprinted on the tread, strangely enough for 10,000, it is still there, which means the durability of the rubber, that it does not wipe and will last for a long time. I would recommend. An additional advantage is that they are new tyres, and that means that I ordered in March and the production date is from March. Read more Collapse

The tyres I use mostly on routes. At speeds up to 100 km / h, everything works in the best order, quiet, soft, well suppress inequalities. Problems start at speeds above 100 km / h. The first ride, the speed of 110 kmh tyres fall into strange vibrations. I tell myself, newly founded ones will settle down. The problem still appeared. It turned out to be a factory defect of the tyres. Detriment. Besides, for someone who drives only in the city, the problem is unlikely to be detected. At highway speeds, very noticeable and uncomfortable. Price to quality. I think that we get exactly what we pay for, a decent product. Read more Collapse

tyres worth recommending, when reading the reviews before buying, I was not sure, but a large positive amount of opinion and the appearance of the tyre convinced me to buy. The tyres do not wear out excessively quickly, there was no problem with balancing, they do not bother as herringbone tyres look good and they behave well on dry and wet roads. A big plus is the quick handling of the case (delivery, assistance, invoice, warranty) by the oponeo service and, above all, the price of the NEW tyre, not the used one without a warranty, which is a lot of us. I would like to express my opinion about these tyres. I did not expect such tyres for such ridiculous money, at the beginning I had the floor to order them so I ordered one pair first, after a month I decided on a second pair of tyres. At the corners, the tyres stick to the surface as I do not know, the second plus also looks like the same tyre profile as well as the tread. In my case, what to balance tyres was not a problem, only the tyres had a problem with jumping on the alloy wheels because of as much as 5-6 atmospheres. Generally interesting and good tyres for cheap money. Read more Collapse

After the change from Pirelli and Bridgestone, I was very positively surprised. On the fast corners, it is slightly too soft, but it is more pleasant to ride, as long as you can talk about comfort in size 235/40. You can see the sides of the tyres are not too hard. It is very predictable in the big rain. For now, they wear out evenly and not too fast. I do not know how they would behave in a car without a 4-wheel drive, but I still think that the price is unbeatable :) a set of tyres in this size at a low price, not much of a brand-name competition is a really good purchase. I had the opportunity to do with these tyres about 15 000 km I will say such a dry surface completely on the GREAT PLUS quiet, great performance, low fuel consumption, very good grip. But the problem begins when it starts to rain, begins to swing the car in the car, discharges the water badly, loses traction, abs is turned on all the time. The impression is completely different from other cool brands and looks sporty. I recommend tyres for people who do not drive very much, it is not worth it to screw up for other tyres. I chose the cheapest tyre and I was not disappointed. I drive quietly and slowly. Sometimes, however, it happens that I will press. I have not noticed any undesirable tyre behavior under different conditions. I have a delicate impression that it is slightly louder than the previous (branded) tyre. But what does it matter on Polish roads full of holes? And in addition, I drive around Wrocłąw, where there are more cubes than asphalt. I also have a small feeling that burning is slightly higher, but fuel is cheap now :) Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I have suggested many positive opinions about these tyres. I decided to check what a miracle it is at half price. The tyres are poor, up to a speed of 90 km / h it is ok but above, on the highway ... vibrations, "one hundred thousand weights" to make the tyre balanced. What price is such a product, I do not understand this delight over this bad product. But if you have a comfortable car, do not bother with these tyres. Read more Collapse

I bought these as an alternative to the very expensive Continentals originally on the car. So far, the Imperials have performed very well and TBH I haven’t noticed the difference. I haven’t driven enough miles on them to comment on how they wear but so far I am totally satisfied. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I received today, wear it now to mount (rear axle) .When I took the car, I took a ride, right away you notice the calm and comfort of these tires have a nice disegno.Per those wondering like me if they have the punch to protect the circle, (I even called to ask that and the operator told me he did not have one), instead, I have to refuse them and ask Oponeo to be corrected or at least to be reported because the imperial rubber ecosport 205 / 50R16 has the punch to protect the circle but from the photo on the site are not clear and there is no indication in Riguardo. No I could always try these tires in the wet, but will let you know when it rains. For now I thank Oponeo Poland in two holidays took me up the tires in Italy, ready for delivery this morning (Monday) and the fact that the tires are (Fresh) like they said ... I can dot 0215 I highly recommend you to shop on this site, without the slightest uncertainty because they are serious and reliable ... Greetings from Turin Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

Like many people, I bought these tires in August suggesting positive feedback. Unfortunately, in my case, it was not quite hit purchase. I drove on them for a total of 200 km in the combined cycle. Tires can not balance the August When he seemed to be balanced at 80 km / h seemed to beat fresh, to 90 km / h trzepalo already everywhere in the car. By slow curing, that I put on, had a problem with the appropriate filing in August on wheels. It is difficult for me to be concluded that these tires in August so really behave on different surfaces ... All had to turn to the store ... and here in my hand a great praises for Oponeo for Quick and hassle-free processing of your complaint. After filing the application, the mail arrived after the tires, a few days later, I'm new here ... I traded for a completely different manufacturer and different model. Tires brand Imperial strongly recommends, especially in the case of a low profile. Read more Collapse
