    Opinion from outside IE

It’s the first time I purchased Continental tyres because their products are usually very expensive. I used to drive on Nokian tyres. They were worse in wet weather. I also had Michelin Alpin tyres, quality of which was rather average. The last tyre I tested was the Pirelli Sotto Zero which was very good. I’m driving a Toyota Avalon Limited, 3.5l. engine, 278 BHP and decided to buy a set of the Continental TS850 tyres. I must say, I’m impressed. The tyres are superb in wet conditions. Their performance in snow is simply sensational. They provide excellent grip even if you have a powerful car. The tread pattern is interesting. I’m shocked how comfortable these tyres are. They are better than my previous Pirellis which I liked a lot. I strongly recommend the Continental WinterContact TS 850 P because of their quality and astonishing performance. Read more Collapse

In my opinion, these tyres represent great quality and marvellous performance. It’s not my first set of Continental tyres but the first winter one. I used to buy only summer tyres from this manufacturer. Now it’s time to test one of their winter products. I feel confident and comfortable, especially on wet or muddy roads. The tyres are perfect! They provide good traction. They arrived on time. I received a very good service. I will buy this particular winter Continental again. I’m very satisfied with fuel economy and quality of these tyres. I would like to recommend Continental tyres to everybody. This is one of the best manufacturers in a premium segment. Top quality, good grip. I can’t say a bad word about the 850 P model. I was positively surprised by their performance. They behave well so I will buy them again. The braking distance is surprisingly short and, what’s important, equal in all conditions. I’ll definitely buy them again. They are very durable as after four months, they still look like they were new. I highly recommend these tyres. Read more Collapse

From my personal point of view, these are the best winter tyres available on the market for the last two years. I had one of the latest summer models of Continental tyres mounted on my 4x4 Mercedes GLK, E46, 330, rear wheel drive. The second set was fitted to my VW Polo GTI, front wheel drive. The tyres are worth buying because they don’t cost too much as for premium segment. What’s more, there are no better tyres on the market. Read more Collapse

The last winter was very mild so I had to wait until early March for the first snow. I tested these Continental tyres and must admit that they improved handling of my BMW MX5 not only in snow but on dry and wet surfaces as well. We only had a few inches of snow but it was enough to feel the difference between these and my previous tyres. I recommed these tyres to all drivers looking for top quality. Read more Collapse

Technical description:

Each of the tyre's features has been designed with care for even the smallest of details. The model is intended as the future replacement for two tyres which achieved considerable success: the Continental ContiWinterContact TS 830 P and the Continental ContiCrossContact Winter and performs even better than its predecessors thanks to the outstanding design of the individual tread features. This design not only improves handling on snow and dry roads, but also reduces braking distances in all of the conditions which may be encountered in winter. The model is also the perfect choice for SUV owners, since the tread is ideally suited for providing a high level of safety on unpaved roads. The innovative tread design improves performance on snow by up to 5%.

The tyre's stand-out features include larger angles and shorter distances between the individual blades set on its surface, which - together with the large number of specially designed sharp edges - ensure outstanding performance in the most challenging of winter conditions. The tyre maintains superb grip and delivers short braking distances on wet and dry roads thanks to the sophisticated design of the central section of the tread, which comes into direct contact with the road. The lower sidewall design means that the tyre provides not only a high level of safety, but also outstanding comfort and low rolling resistance, which in turn reduces fuel consumption. The tyre underwent a number of specialised tests before being launched on the market, examining its performance in all the different weather conditions typically encountered at this time of year. All of the test results proved that this is yet another Continental tyre offering truly all-round performance for drivers.
