Felt very secure using these tyres in the winter. Never once slipped/lost traction all winter or noticed any difference in noise/ fuel economy compared to the summer tyres. Well worth it and I'm looking forward to putting them on the car again for the winter ahead. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I was driving in Germany in 2014 had to buy Christmas winters, but I'm about 5000 miles a year so did not want the expense of separate wheels and two summer / winter tires. I arrived in the UK the Continental website and they recommended the UK, if you are only to run a set of tires, winters would be preferable. I bought the 830Ps after seeing them rated in a number of winter opinion, but, more importantly, finish above the budget marks in a review of summer tires (most people are concerned about the winter performance in summer). Personally, I had no problems on these tires, they have grasped in all conditions of sub zero to 25 degrees C in summer and both wet and dry. Note, I have not driven in the snow but I expect them to perform well. I have a reasonable walk to the right and a good quick drive through the occasional :-) country - in terms of wear, I just had a check up at the local BMW dealership and after almost 1 year and 5k miles fronts are still nearly 8 mm and back are so many left 7mm wear. I have a mixture mainly of driving traffic to the city, but occasional 200 mile motorway journeys. Are quite noisy and I just feel more bumpy than the previous summer tires but not the whole point of being boring. If you are looking for winters to sizes of normal tires without buying two sets so I highly recommend these tires for your BMW. Read more Collapse

I spent much time reading reports and research that the tires would be better for my BMW especially in winter I worked well outside of town in a rural area prone to snow and non-gritted roads winter with some steep slopes on the road so that the potential of the winter in difficulty was high. When the snow came, I can not say I'm very happy with the results I regularly made my way up a 1in4 look at all the cars that have been struggling or had been abandoned by the roadside waiting for someone to get them out ... even the idiot in the Audi A4 trying to skate up on the wrong side of the road in the opposite direction, traffic down around a blind corner because snow accumulation appeared lighter on the other side. .. (I often wonder what happened to him) in all gloss tires in snow, slush and just cold and wet conditions. MPG has suffered a little as expected but it is a fair trade off for safer handling and better handling. I left probably a bit too long after winter and in hot and dry conditions, they are too soft and MPG and handling have a real hammer but then that's not what they are designed for. Winter performance was so good that I'm almost looking forward to next winter so I can have a laugh at all the people who can not be bothered to switch to winter tires. Read more Collapse

Another set of tires that the manufacturer in another car and can confidently say that the tires are worth the money. Previous similar model drove the Passat (summer) round (summer), Galaxy (winter) and now has just bought a summer galaxy. I tried various so-called replacement same factories as the brand tires (not recommended), Michelin, pirelki, Debica. Finally, I put on Continental and recommend to friends. Regarding sustainability, it may carry a bit faster than the cheaper copies, but they give a good sense of control on the road. Slush and water are certainly better than the winter, so always after an intense period of snow quickly jumps in the summer. In the rain, you can heat safely from the highway and it does not happen aquaplaning. Other criteria such as noise attenuation, durability and appearance are less important to me, but I think everything is fine. Tires are an important and it's worth a little extra pay and have decent equipment and the peace of mind while driving. Read more Collapse

There were similar on my tourer Citroen C5 of the tires all year - easily still winter working class after 30,000 miles. These new low-profile run-flats on my ar Citroen C6 - a car HEAVY BIG. Trip to the French Alps in soft snow and packed demonstrated their superior grip / control over those in chains - no problems everywhere. Bit noisier than my C5 but low profile and run-flats therefore planned drive a lot in the UK on Highways below 7deg C and get a lot of tests on ability in cold weather - do not lead to any something else (I keep them on all year - get a good even treadwear). super deep tread for the skid pan covered with water also known as (Merseyside) M62 ... Technology description: Continental ContiWinterContact TS830 P is a winter tyre designed specially for high-end passenger cars.

Continental ContiWinterContact TS830 P has a very stiff tread blocks and a dense web of notches. Their edges bite into slippery surfaces, improving grip and reducing braking distance on wet and icy roads. Another benefit from such a solution is much better traction on snow. The vehicle precisely responds to the wheel movements and does not lose stability.

The distribution of the tread blocks and the tyre-ground contact area are very uniform. This results in longer tyre life. Continental ContiWinterContact TS830 P is a tyre for drivers who look for modern tyres that ensure the top level of safety.
