    Opinion from outside IE

will write a little about the tyre and the car: E46 320i; 170hp, rear wheel drive of course. Tyre size 225/45/R17 / 245/40/R17 (front/rear). I have done over 10k km on the tyres. Trouble free. All parameters at a high level. Superb grip at high speeds, no floating or skidding. Probably due to the size as well. The only objection is the noise. In my opinion, 72dBa is blasphemous. If you drive a lot above 120kmh, I suggest you think twice (the tyre width probably also influences this). But noticeably above 120-130 the tyres start to hum louder than the wind. Recommended for moderate drivers. In the rain, despite the size, I can break traction without any problems. I haven't tried it in the dry because it's a waste of the differential... :) When braking I can feel the grip limit and excellent cornering grip.I would sooner leave my seat than the car from the lane) :) I used to drive on Dunlop SportMAXX (215/55/R16) and I can honestly say that I will return to them. Still, they are a class quieter than those Conti's. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I highly recommend this tyre, at this price it is hard to find something better and so good for quite aggressive driving. The tyres are stiff and do not bend too much at sharp bends, I switched directly from the Michelin Energy Saver and the difference is immediately noticeable, in addition I also drove for a while on Michelin Primacy HP but the Conti are the best for my driving. If someone expects that a tyre will last for many years then unfortunately I have to disappoint them, I assume that I will drive on these tyres for max 3 seasons, but one thing for something - a tyre has to wear to keep it in place. As far as noise is concerned, these are not the quietest tyres I have ridden and at higher speeds they can be heard, but it is not very oppressive. Once again, I recommend. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I switched from the old Pirelli P6000s (they were worn out) and am very positively surprised. The tyre should be quite noisy (label mark) but in reality they are much quieter than the P6000. At the same time, these tyres pick bumps better, they go over them more smoothly (this is the feeling I get in the cabin, of course we are not talking about potholes etc but some cracks in the asphalt etc). Excellent grip in the dry and excellent in the wet. No difference in fuel consumption, neither positive nor negative. The fuel consumption remains the same- 5.6l.100km in the Focus MK2. I am delighted with this model and look forward to racking up the miles together ;) Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I have only replaced two front tyres with this Continental model. The poor feature of the tyres is the significant increase in fuel consumption. They are also rather noisy. The car behaves correctly on dry pavement. Big plus for braking on water. They handle well in puddles, and with a width of 225 this can sometimes be a problem. I've driven 14k miles and one of the tyres showed a defect on the side edge which results in its replacement. I would not choose this model again. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I have been using these tyres since 2011. I am generally satisfied with them but... after 40 000 km they are due for replacement, and that is a bit too soon. Let me add that I am not a "racer", I drive normally, without squeaking, burning rubber and other fun on the road :) . For comparison, in the second car I have Dunlop SP Sport 270, and after 68000 km the tread does not look like in Conti. This is the only, but a big disadvantage of these tyres. The rest is a well-deserved positive :) Read more Collapse
