Nokian WR A3 was the first set of tyres which I bought to my car. With the car I have bought Hankook I-cept, which was not very good. I have heard that Nokian tyres are designed in Finland, so they know for sure how to deal in the winter conditions. In the winter conditions the Nokian tyres are behaving very good, there is no point to compare them with the Hankooks. Maybe they are a little too soft, but perfect for snow, specially for the long trip with a high speed. The only disadvantage was, that I had to balanced them twice (second time after 1500 miles). I am very surprised the quality of the Nokian WR A3 comparing it to the price. What is more the tyre is very very quiet, almost like one of the summer tyres. I am a user of many different brands – Pirelli, Michelin, Goodyear, Debica, but this Nokian seems to be one of the best, which I have ever used. Very quiet with a good grip on every surface and also fantastic fuel efficiency. The last which I had was Michelin Alpin and these was the worst tyres ever! The grip on slush was horrible.
