The Nokian WeatherProof is an all-season tyre for passenger cars. It is noted for its good performance in summer conditions and its resistance to skidding in autumn and winter conditions. The model's high performance has been confirmed in numerous tests. Its winter specifications have been tested in Ivalo (north of the Arctic Circle), while its performance at high speeds has been put to the test on tracks in Germany and Spain.

The Nokian WeatherProof has a directional tread pattern, which ensures excellent dispersal of water and slush, making the model resistant to aquaplaning and slushplaning. The model retains stability on snowy roads. Every element of the Nokian WeatherProof has a special function.

The central part of the tread has an aggressive design to effectively disperse water and slush, giving the driver more control over the car in difficult conditions. The blades bite into the snow, thus improving traction. Wide circumferential grooves disperse water and snow to the sides, minimising the risk of aquaplaning.

The Nokian WeatherProof is made from an innovative rubber compound, which retains its flexibility across a wide range of temperatures, ensuring better grip and protection against rapid wear. The model is also available in versions for SUVs and vans.

Nokian

Nokian Tyres is a tyre manufacturer with a lot of experience in the sector. The Finish company cemented its place in automotive history as the first company to launch the winter tyre. It is currently renowned for its excellent range of tyres suited to difficult weather conditions. The brand's tyres are most popular in Northern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and North America. As well as winter tyres, Nokian Tyres also produces summer and all-season tyres.

I bought the Nokian WeatherProof tyres having on my mind that the Polish winters become milder and the weather becomes less stable, so the all weather tyre is prepared better for a whole range of road conditions. The tires were tested on a dry and wet surface and during the morning frost. Regarding the wet weather, the adhesion is excellent. The tires grip into the tarmac and the car control is certain. The driving is stable and secure, even in the fast corners. The car doesn’t bend to much, but that is prabobly also caused by the miltiarmed suspension. When it comes to the dry surface a slight advantage have the summer tyre becauce of the breaking impression which seems to be a little bit better. But when the Surface is a bit wet, the Nokian WeatherProof doesn’t leave a chance to the summer tyres. I’m comparing them to the tyres that I had previously, which are the Continental ContiSportContact 3 – a typical summer tyres. The noise while driving is much smaller. The noise inside the car at a speed of 1mph is slightly smaller than with the Continental tires as well. While turning, the rolling resistance and vibration damping is comparable to Continential. This tyre is very good looking at the low tyre profile. No failure happened as I haven’t been driving much on them. I could make a comprehensive review only after checking the tires in winter conditions, of course. Therefor, I do recommend this tyre for othe conditions that winter has not yet appeared. I’m glad that I came across a good promotion, because I would not be able to buy the premium tyres at their normal price. The Nokian WeatherProof tyres were just a few pounds more expensive than the previous tyres I had and I’m sattisfied withe them. They give a sensational experience. I stopped thinking about the noise, because they’re so quiet. II dont have any complaints on driving on a dry Surface in the city and on the highways. They are also a revelation in the mountains while driving on mud and stones. I‘ve got the impression that there is no slippage. My combi discharged on the roof with a tin roof and filled with four people approached sensational up the hill, where the larger cars had problems. The engine heated to 110 degrees which is normal for that load in the mountains . I don’t think I’ll buy any other tyres anymore because I don’think any better tyres exist. I’ll see ho wis it going to be in the winter time, but they did well on mad so I don’t think I have any reason to warry. My mechanic couldn’t believe the price I payed when he was feeting them. In addition, after spraying the preparation for tires they loocked amazing even after the rain, when all the tyres that I had before last just several hours on a drizzle. I thought the fault was in the preparation but now I know that it was a quality of the rubber. :-) Read more Collapse

Pleasantly surprised. I approached the purchase of a multi-season tyre with a distance, but a year has passed, so I can issue a reliable review. Beginning of 2018 traveled around 18,000 km, Clio 3 power is over 100 HP. The speed tested is 200 km / h, it sticks to the road. Increased tyre performance above highway speed. Autumn in the wet - great, I also have winding roads. Winter without snow, but with frost - perfect, after snowfall is decent, keeps traction and the path of the ride. In my opinion better than Barum Polaris 3, but after the tests it is also a great tyre. It is possible to ride on ice, but do not violently turn and brake, but without a spike this is the norm. It requires more caution on slush, but I do not know what tyre it would have to require. I have four tyres and I do not see signs of wear, there are lamellas, there is a boundary set of such small protrusions. Some silicone for tyres, possibly a washcloth, and again they are like new. Nokian WeatherProof is the all season tyre. I haven’t been using it in the winter time yet, but during the summer season tyre behaves as a winter tire used during the summer. It has a good grip, it is quiet and it perfectly absorbs vibration while driving plus the tire is aesthetic. Nokian WeatherProof replaced the all season Goodyear tyres which were much harder and louder. The power of the car decreased by 20% due to rolling resistance, burning changed from 6.5 liters to 7.5 liters. I recommend these tyres for driving on roads with a poor quality, as they are soft and they remove vibrations perfectly. Now i know that when I’ll be buying the tyres next time I must drow attention to the rolling resistance parameter. Read more Collapse

I have had these tyres on my car for about 3000km. The car handles comparably to how it handled with my Dunlop summer tyres so very little trade off. The fuel consumption is identical too so as a direct replacement for a summer tyre there is little difference that I have noticed. I don't tend to push the car too much (100km/h speeds on twisty roads) so I can't comment on how they compare at their limits. We have yet to have snow and ice so I can't comment on the snow grip but if they perform as well as the reviews suggest then they should be a good all rounder for the generally moderate Irish weather. For the last 7 seasons I had either summer or winter premium class tyres. Because all tyre change took place in a decent fitting station, the exchange itself generated a very high total cost each year. I spend a lot of money for that in the last 7 years. In winter I’ve never had chance to leave the city, and in the city all the roads always have been cleared of snow. This year, I came to my senses, I read all the tests and I bought the best all year tires which are the Nokian WeatherProof tyres. I think that it is an optimal choice. It's a pity that I decided to buy the all season tyres so late. Read more Collapse

Been tempted to try winter tyres for a few years and finally opted for these all season ones this year as they wore out in October rather than june like they normally seem. An all season tyre sounded like a good compromise. Very impressed, fitted the week before we were hit by a weeks snow, and lots more snow had this year, excellent grip and will be fitting these on all cars in future. lose a bit of fuel economy but the safety gains are worth it. could be worth changing to summer tyres but I've not got the space to store a spare set of wheels so probably just leave them on all year round Read more Collapse

So far, I've been looking for some used tyres at a good price to "get over the season or two". I decided to invest in all-season tyre. A colleague from work recommended it to me and it was a bullseye! Great grip on dry, high comfort and combustion has dropped! As for the wet surface it is also impeccable, there is no aquaplaning effect, the car sensationally brakes even during a downpour and driving in water! If someone is looking for solid tyres at a reasonable price, he should take this model as much as possible :) Read more Collapse

Somewhere I had read about a Finnish tyre manufacturer, a subsidiary of Nokia. Since the Finns have enough snow and ice to test, I thought they could make excellent tyres. Well they are, I notice that the tyres have a lot of grip in all conditions. I have chosen for 4 season tyres because I don't like changing. I have also driven them with the little snow that has fallen here and they do not disappoint in that either. They also make little noise in my opinion. I am satisfied, it is fine, for 4 season tyres. I am a user of these tires for several months and during that time I made about 2000 miles so I can assess how these behive on a wet and dry surfase. On the dry roads the Nokian WeatherProof tyres are a bit worse than the Michelin summer tires for me. On the other hand, they’re much better on a wet surpace than the mentioned tyre. These tyres are more stable on the wet roads and the braking distance is shorter. Recommendable tyres. I’m going to check how they’ll behive in the winter time. Read more Collapse

The first multi-season tyres in my life and I'm impressed. Super ride in winter (snow) as well as spring. The car is driven safely and safely, I will mention that in my car is not ESP and rear drive. I use Nokian tyres for a long time as well as summer and winter tyres, but curiosity I bought multi-season (I damaged winter tyres). Whoever uses Nokian knows that it's really super premium class tyres. The new multi-season tyres are proof of this. I RECOMMEND THEM. Read more Collapse

These tyres are fitted to my 180hp TTID. They performed well in wet and dry conditions of a Scottish winter. My daily commute covers 120 miles of B roads, A roads and motorways. With our recent storms they were also tested in snow and slush. The tyres performed very well. Gripped well and were confidence inspiring. Better than the Goodyears they replaced. Haven't had them long enough to comment on wear but they are a good price for tyres that perform so well. Read more Collapse

I use multi-season tyres for the first time and I am impressed by their properties. The tyres perform like winter tyres at a price of around 800 per set. In the summer seasons are also quite good. Table runner for 12,000 km is almost like new. Moderate noise. It could be less noisy, but it's quite good. The only downside to me is the fact that they quickly become brown and you often have to use a black tyre to keep their beautiful glow of black. Read more Collapse

Sensational tyres. Proven in all conditions except rain at higher temperatures. There is a revelation on the snow (I can not see the difference between winter Firestone Winterhawk 3 founded in the second car) and even I have the impression that Nokian are more predictable. I live right at the top of the Highlands with heavy rain and snow. Great performance during the last two storms we've had. Got me to work safely. No aquaplaning on flooded roads. Not tested them in snow and ice yet but these were the cheapest of the A rated tyres and so far they drive wonderfully. I've been to Finland enough times to know that Nokian produce top quality tyres. With a temperature range of -19 to +35C and a snow rating they would seem the ideal all season tyre for the UK. High quality tyres. Excellent for those who drive in the city but also do long trips. I have mounted them on my wife's car since she doesn't do many miles per year about 12000. It saves a lot of money not having to change the tyres every season. At least 80 euros a year. They are not noisy and they hold up well even on dirt roads. I have now fitted these tyres on my 2 cars and my daughters car, having previously used top of the range Continental Winter tyres and a second set of alloys with summer tyres. These tyres are everything I need for all year safety and comfort, sorry forgot to say the ride is excellent and they are so so quiet. I was surprised by the low level of "noise", I could always feel the difference after changing to winter tyres, now on all-season tyres there is no difference, I would say it is quieter. I haven't tested them in any extreme conditions (I'll see how they perform in winter), taking into account our recent winters, if they perform well I'll always buy all-season, I recommend Read more Collapse

I hope it's a good compromise: I live in a very cold city, in the winter months the temperature often drops below zero and sometimes the roads are icy; it snows frequently and I also use the car for excursions in the mountains. I mounted the tyres in April, so I'll have to wait until next winter to test them in the snow. I tried them in heavy rain and they were perfect. Read more Collapse

These are my first all-season tyres. The tyres give more comfort than the summer Michelins Energy on which I last used the car, they are quiet, soft and bump-free, cornering grip is faultless, braking gives a feeling of safety. I hope that winter driving will confirm my choice and that the tyres from this company will once again prove to be better than the others. Read more Collapse

Nice looking tyre, proven to be quiet and grippy in wet and dry. Only driven less than 1000 miles so far in temp ranges from 0° to 15°. No snow yet so cannot attest to its full capabilities just yet. Still not sure whether I should switch to a proper summer tyre for the hotter months, even if they're supposed to be all season tyres.
