Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120

Hankook not without reason is on the premium list. The tyre I bought out of curiosity after previously used Continental which, unfortunately, very quickly run out after 2 seasons. On well-kept roads Continental did okay but still price/mileage/usage doesn’t come out too well. Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 on the other hand came out pretty good. Tyres stick very well to the road. They are predictable during taking corners. Very well disperse of water so fast ride is easy. We’ll see how it looks as tread starts wearing down. As far as I’m concerned the noise on the smooth roads is minimal. If we ride on poorly constructed or old roads it’s getting louder because of the reinforced tyre, well that and taking parameter of my car into consideration it is also understandable. After hours of searching for a tyre with low rolling resistance and relatively low noise, I decided on this one. The tyre surprises me positively, even though it is classified here as a medium tyre, it does not differ from a premium tyre, the tyre is very predictable, I know when it starts to lose grip. I'm on 215/45/17, a size that is almost perfect for our roads, the tyre is quite stiff but doesn't pull the steering wheel out of my hands at the slightest opportunity. They have not let me down in an emergency situation on a wet road - a small moose test and the vehicle runs like on rails. After a rainstorm I feel safer in them than in winter tyres. Quiet, dynamic and safe in the dry. In the wet I can't think of any better (and due to the nature of my job I've driven on different tyres). With 205/45/16 I hardly feel any flexing in corners, they are compact and stiff. I've driven about 16k km, 50/50 route/city. Wear maybe 1mm on the front tyre, not noticeable on the rear. Done around 6k miles mainly on B-roads grip is outstanding. Also used these tyres on a couple of trackdays. The compound I would say is medium to soft in terms of grip but are wearing like a hard compound. I drive aggressively and these tyres allow me to get the most out of the car yes these are not the most fuel efficient tyres on the market but if you put mpgs before safety that's upto you. I do not recommend these tyres. I think they are made of poor quality materials. The tyres on the drive axle were worn out after 7000km, on the non-drive axle after 7000km, they were worn out to 50%. Of course, the manufacturer did not accept the complaint. Very poor quality. I do not recommend it unless you have a lot of money and are willing to change the tyres every few thousand kilometres. Good value for money tyre. Nice tread pattern, good grip and virtually no noise. Due to the profile height and the suspension characteristics of Seat, which generally have a hard suspension, it is difficult to say anything about the damping of unevenness. On the rear axle I have the previous generation of Hankook Ventus, which have already been driven a bit more and I can't fault them either. Read more Collapse

Having previously not owned Hankooks, I did a bit of research and decided on these tyres because Hankooks have a reputation for good quality reasonably priced tyres. As an all-year round tyre these are an excellent choice. Categorized as a Summer Tyre but the grip is equally good in the wet and the dry. And so far, the wear is minimal on them. The tyres perform very well, at high speeds of 180-210km/h (of course on the motorway) very quiet inside, the tyres do not float on the asphalt. Driving at such speeds I feel safe, I can also enter bends aggressively and there is no question of breaking grip (of course with headway). Before changing tyres (previously used continentalsI could feel a vibration on the steering wheel above 130km/h and thought it was something with the steering system after the change the car behaves perfectly even at high speeds. Great tyres, I use them for long journeys of 300-600 km, mainly motorway and city. The wear is minimal. I drive quietly but sometimes aggressively. Excellent water evacuation in the wet. Hankook evo wore down on 26000 kms. Continental lasted in excess of 45000 as did Dunlop. Buy these to save 20 over cost of Conti or Dunlop and you will buy again in just under half mileage. These tyres are fantastic value for money and a great replacement to the much hated run flat!! Do not bother looking for anything else if you live in Ireland or UK, these tyres are simply best for the price. Done 7000 km mostly on motorways - the thread on both front and rear is the same - like new. I was doing 180 km/h on my 2005 diesel SAAB and it handled perfectly. 160 km/h during heavy rain and going like on rails. Read more Collapse

I would definitely recommend buying tyres from this model. Surprisingly good handling on wet asphalt, the tyres are quiet. I have driven over 15k km and am pleasantly surprised. As I wrote above, I recommend it because of its very good grip in various conditions and its rolling resistance is practically unnoticeable. The price/quality ratio is satisfactory. I can fully recommend the tyres. It is a compromise between civil and sports tyres. Due to their sporty nature, they may not dampen bumps perfectly, but that is not what you expect from such tyres in such dimensions. Super handling and grip, plus a cool look on a good rim. Really good tyres but think falkens are slighty better in wet cornering but very good tyre in dry to damp conditions and very very durable so get great life out the tyre. Low profile tyre so thats why noise and bump absorption got low rating but thats not what I bought them for. Read more Collapse

I mostly prefer continental tyres, standard, after the classic 50000km approx, I chose these new, excellent especially in the wet! with flooded roads to the maximum grip, good noise, for fuel economy in the average of all the tyres. recommended! Excellent value for money! Read more Collapse

Good tyres for everyday use - commuting etc. For aggressive driving they are not the best choice, but for the price I highly recommend them, overall I am very satisfied, especially the handling on fast curves in rain/wet conditions, for that they deserve a medal. Read more Collapse

in the dry and wet, these tyres proper dug in and got me out some hard taken corners and tricky bends, only thing i'd change is get some rim protectors but apart from that, can't really complain, probably the reason i didn't go into any barriers on the track lol Read more Collapse

Positive feedback. I have previously ridden Continentals - the Hankooks have better damping and are slightly quieter and hold just as well or only slightly worse. I don't know how the durability will be, but for now I recommend them to everyone. Read more Collapse

Oponeo had tyre advertised with lower decibel level than was on the actual label. I chose these over Uniroyal Rainsport 3, which are very good too. I actually prefer these tyres and will buy them again when replacements are required. Read more Collapse

I drive little, in town and with a light foot, so mine is probably not a relevant review. I am satisfied so far, the tyres have withstood a few bad bumps. In general, they behave well, but I don't wear them out so I can't say more. Read more Collapse

In comparison with Toyo Proxes T1 Sport and Goodyear much better in terms of water evacuation. At 100 km/h on the motorway in the rain it did not lose its grip, whereas with Toyo and Goodyear this often happened. Minimal wear. Read more Collapse

A recommendable tyre with a good design. Good grip on dry and wet surfaces. Quiet and good absorption. Durability is surprisingly poor. Probably same distance again and time to change. (Similar behaviour to Nokian tz300). Read more Collapse

The tires are quieter than the original small van tires but suppose they are sweeter than the wear rate appears high, but of course there is always a compromise. Please note that I only use them as summer tires. Read more Collapse
