The Falken ZE 914 is a product belonging to the Sumitomo group, made by its subsidiary company Ohtsu Tire & Rubber Company. The Falken ZE 914 is recognised as a mid-range tyre but its affordable price does not mean that it compromises on quality or performance.

The Falken ZE 914 has an asymmetric tread pattern, which ensures that the driver feels safe whilst driving in summer on different types of surface. The dual tread design gives the driver control over the car and confidence when negotiating corners on dry surfaces and protection against skidding on wet roads. Vehicles fitted with Falken ZE 914 tyres offer a stable performance, resulting in a smooth driving experience. Thanks to the large contact surface between the tyre and the road, the tyre offers excellent grip on dry roads, while the longitudinal tread grooves effectively disperse water whilst driving on wet roads.

The Falken ZE 914 is made from a silica and polymer-enriched compound, which means that the product performs well on wet surfaces whilst also ensuring an economic driving experience (lower fuel consumption) and safety. Thanks to the relevant markings on the tyres (indicator showing tread condition), drivers can see for themselves whether the tyre needs replacing when its wear level has reached a point where it compromises safety.

The Falken ZE 914 offers the driver a comfortable and safe driving experience and protection against aquaplaning or loss of control over the vehicle. Thanks to its low price, the tyre is affordable for all drivers looking for an economical solution without compromising on quality and comfort.

    Opinion from outside IE

Bought 4 tires Falken ZE914 215/55 R16 97W for a VW Sharan 1.9 TDI. Existing tires are Dunlop SP Sport 2020E and had around 2-3 mm tread on the rear tires and 2mm on the left on the front tires. I drove on Firestone and Dunlop SP Sport 9000 on the previous cars. Dunlop advised to change SP Sport 01 as they had stiff shoulders therefore better handling, because the VW Sharan high center of gravity. However, I took a risk and went for a brand Falken Ziex 914 defendants due to £ 20 price difference per tire. I definitely made the right choice. Tyre pressures remained the same as on old tires as recommended by VW on the fuel cap. I ran into the tires of 250 miles on local travel and on a motorway trip to 55 mph as advised. I''ve driven over 800 miles on the highway and local roads and now compared to the 2020th Dunlop SP Sport I obtained the following results for the benefit. 1. Lighter steering makes driving and parking much easier, tires are somehow very light, even after execution. 2. Fuel MPG improved considerably by 4 + mpg as indicated on the meter average vw edge. The MPG has increased by at least 6 mpg on highway speeds between 55 and 75 mph 3. Comfort is improved, the car is smoother on minor bumps and a little better on larger bumps that Dunlop. I kept the tire pressure the same as Dunlop. 4. dry grip improved slightly. I noticed that the car oversteer or understeer at 30 mph - 40 mph on two-lane road and motorway turns the slip road. 5. Wet grip has improved considerably and I can feel the control of the car at speed in the rain and can change lanes on a highway in the sense of control when I need to quickly move the car left or right when changing lanes. 6. The noise is not noticeable at the local level, but slightly improved on the highway. 7. Tire Wear - too early, even after 800 miles, will try to leave another review after 10K miles Global Verdict. After much research and about purchasing the SP Sport 01 SP Sport Blueresponse or after reading the comments, I'm glad I made the right choice and saved money by choosing the Falken ZE914 Ziex. I feel performance and comfort increased. Previously, only the top brands purchased but now must consider price brands such as Falken environment. Read more Collapse

I was wondering for a long time over which tyres to choose. I decided to go for Falken. I admit that I was guided by the price and the opinions of others. The car that I drive has maximum speed 180km and rear-wheel drive, I might add, that this is a diesel, and these Falken ZE 914 are perfect!! :) Whether it’s in wet or dry conditions or even when I drive into a puddle nothing unexpected happens. Literally as if on rails. As for the noise I had 16inch Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D and the level is the same - none. I do not know whether it’s my car soundproof or the tyres are really that quiet, but I can’t hear them. I drive very fast and sometimes I can hear when the front tyres literally bite into the road without compromising on controllability. At 150m/H the car still behaves normally. Speaking of the wear, I do not know. I have done around 1000 miles and after washing they still look like new. I recommend Falken ZE 914 and I know that my next purchase will also be Falken but probably 19inch :) Read more Collapse

I highly recommend Falken ZE 914. I had a lot of different tyres before, always from the top shelf. In my opinion, Falken beats Michelin, Goodyear and Dunlop. I tested them with emergency braking on dry and wet roads. The car stops immediately in place. Even in the mud they managed nicely. They are very durable and resistant to abrasion. Fuel consumption in general hasn’t changed so as for me they are very economical. My Mazda at an average speed of 87m/h burns around 6l. On the highways at speeds up to 150m/h it feels like the car is flying, and in the event of a fast braking doesn’t lose control but instantly stops. From April to September 2014 I did well over 20 thousand miles using them. I haven’t noticed any significant tread wear. I drive in the city and on international routes. The only slight minus is that the tyre noise is noticeable. As for me, this is not a problem because a moderately loud music eliminates this drawback. In my opinion Falken ZE 914 is quite nice tyre. Falken ZE 914 pleasantly surprised me, compared to summer predecessors - Bridgestone Potenza Re 50 205/50R16, now I have Falken 215/40R17 and they are much better than Bridgestone; although they had larger profile I could feel every unevenness on the road. They are also much harder than Falken. In wet conditions even with the wet track I haven’t sensed any disturbance. Potenza was able to spin the wheels on the wet. The only minus I found in Falken is that during the hot weather they warm up and you can smell the burnt rubber while approaching them. They are still new and not used a lot, but I don’t think it’s something serious. The smell is perceptible only as auto stands in a garage after driving :) NOISE -> as for wider tyres than the previous ones are quieter, even than Nexen (much louder hum) IN GENERAL - I recommend 100%, no damage despite few accidents with curbs :) All in all I recommend Falken ZE 914 Read more Collapse

Due to the low profile of Falken ZE 914 tyres I don't judge the suppression of inequality. On dry roads at least they behave properly. On wet as well. These are my first low profile tyres so driving for me is great. It is possible that it is because of the AWD drive - also a first for me. I’ve read that there are problems with balancing these tyres but for me not a problem. What’s interesting is that in the event of a pressure drop (due to the significant cooling) the steering wheel started to vibrate at speeds above 60m/h. After adapting the inflation level for the required use the problem disappeared. After driving 14k miles consumption is very low. Overall, I am satisfied with Falken ZE 914. Usually I bought tyres of manufacturers such as Dunlop and Goodyear, however, in this case due to grip on the wet roads they can be compared to Dunlop FastResponse that I had in the other car. I've had quite a few Falkens in the past and these are no different to the usual quality that I've had. When we bought this car it was shod with Michelin's on front and Continental's on rear this had the entertaining effect of making the car quite unstable in the wet, especially straight line braking. Since the Falkens were fitted the car is a different animal altogether, she really holds the line in corners and feels very sure footed on fast winding country roads. The wet grip is very good when driving enthusiastically and again feels sure footed. Now I dare say that the car itself does handle well but these tyres definitely compliment the suspension and chassis. Some reviews mention lots of road noise, I have to be honest my car seems quieter on these Falkens than my last Michelin's and Continentals. Overall I have no problem recommending these tyres to anyone. Read more Collapse

I use Falken ZE 914, from June to November I covered more than 6 thousand miles with those tyres in all conditions from heat to the early November frost. In my opinion, tyres recommendable. They really didn’t disappoint me in any situation giving me the confidence during braking and feeling of the car in every situation. As for my driving style, I gave them a test ;) outside the city with speed 70-90m/h (usually in the limits of traffic regulations) quiet driving without any crazy acts in the city but can be described as a dynamic. If it comes to consumption it’s by the books so I can give positive comment as well. In conclusion I can safely recommend Falken ZE 914 because tyres are really good and they have one more advantage - price :) I hope that my review will help you in making a good choice... I repeat really worth investing in! Read more Collapse

The car that my Falken ZE 914 tyres are fitted to is a 2008 Mercedes Vito 120, 205 BHP, rear wheel drive. Previously, I had Kumho KU31 tyres and I was very happy with them. They gave me good grip on both wet and dry. No corners were a problem, the tyres were reliable and had a nice visual look. With my driving style, they have lasted for 1,5 season. After consulting the helpline of Oponeo I was suggested to get Falken ZE 914 and advised that these tyres will be better at the same price. I tried them and unfortunately I am heavily disappointed. They are no match for Kumho when it comes to grip in the corners (they lose it slightly when coming out of the corner) and stability while driving. I just don't trust these tyres. For me, it's better to get Kumho or Toyo tyres instead of Falken ZE 914. Read more Collapse

I use my Falken ZE 914 tyres in quite a pawerful car - 218 BHP and 500 Nm. Previously, I had Dunlop tyres and Michelin Pilot Primacy ones, and I thought there are no better tyres. It turns out that Falken ZE 914 not only matches Michelins with their grip, which is important for me, but also has harder shoulders than Michelin and due to that it behaves better during aggressive driving. Of course, the driving comfort on bumpy roads is a bit worse, but I have Run Flat tyres as my winter set, so after chenging to Falken it's still better. I only did 700 miles on my tyres, so I don't know what will be their wear. However, I am very pleased with Falken ZE 914 as they grip the car nicely on both dry and wet. At such a price there's probably no better tyre with such parameters as Falken ZE 914. Read more Collapse

I bought Falken ZE 914 tyres basing on the reviews of users. I tested them in various conditions, eg. motorway in Germany, fast cornering, sharp and sudden braking, driving in the rain. Previously I had Michelin Primacy HP tyres and I find Falken ZE 914 way better, and also three times cheaper! In my case, I find it useless to buy Michelin or Goodyear which were complained about fast wear and cracks in the sides as they don't ground your complaints. It's just simple overpaying. What's better - I also noticed lowert fuel consumption. Overall, I find Falken ZE 914 a good tyre which is worth buying. Read more Collapse

I bought Falken ZE 914 tyres, as previously I used their precedessor, the ZE 912, which were really great. At first, the tyres were a bit hard and loud (ca. 200 miles), but then they turned out to be absolutely sensational. When it comes to behaviour on water, it's perfect (better than the 912), and on dry it's as good. I did ca. 1500 miles on these tyres (size is 225/45R17, fitted to a Skoda Superb). Also, Falken ZE 914 have a great quality-price ratio. I recommend them even to most demanding drivers. Who will try and use Falken ZE 914 once, then they will not say goodbye to this brand too soon. They keep very well on wet surfaces. The car is steady and stable. It's easy to feel the "limits" of grip on a dry surface. It takes place gradually, so that with a fast-traversed curve the car does not run in any direction you wouldn't like it to. Generally speaking, I recommend it. These tyres are certainly safe. The noise and comfort in my opinion is not annoying. My driving style is usually "average" with a slight dynamic indication. However, there are moments when you do not look at the consumption of both gasoline and tyres and yet Falkens give the impression of very durable tyres. Read more Collapse

I bought a car with Falkens already on and needed a change for one axle. After searching the offer in this size, I decided to go with Falken too. The purchase was very good !!! Solid tyres on a heavy car (1.8 t) are great! They do not make noise, they overcome high curbs without damage (here a big plus!), solidly behave on dry and wet surfaces. I used to drive on tyres from the upper shelf, "paying extra" for ads ... unnecessarily and pointlessless! I have confidence in these tyres and the manufacturer MY NEXT TYRES WILL BE FALKENS !!! The purchase turned out to be a hit! I have traveled about 1000km on them and for now without any issues, they still smell new :) On strong 90 degree turns with fast and aggressive driving they do not even squeak. On a rainy day they hold asphalt like a charm. If someone is looking for a good tyre for a moderate optimal price, this is the choice! I recommend this tyre. I have it for the first time and I was skeptical until I got thoset for myself. I came back in the summer from the town by the sea and a great downpour came, on highway. At some point the road was flooded, and I was driving about 120 km / h, so I took the steering wheel very tightly, because I did not know what would happen, how I would fall into this lake at this speed. However, I was pleasantly surprised because the tires handled the water with no problem. I recommend these oponki. Security is the key. Regards. Read more Collapse

I bought Falken ZE 914 205/50 / R17 tyres about 1 month ago via the Internet. The parameters of this tyre are satisfactory for me, although mainly when buying I have been guided by whether this tyre has a rim protection. I was informed that, of course it does ..... and here the big disappointment because it almost does not have the rim shield - it is on a par with the tyre. I have a comparison with previous pirelli tyres of the same size. If someone does not care about rims and has little power in his car, the price is affordable. Read more Collapse

tyres 215 / 45R18 - at a speed of about 80 km / h, and then from 110 km / h up, they start to make a noise (buzzing - a sound similar to the plane taking off) tyres vibrate by transferring vibrations to the steering wheel of the car, especially at speeds of 120km / h and higher, and the car goes into resonance during a longer drive at a constant speed. I gave the tyres to the so-called normalization in the workshop so that they do not carry the vibrations of the steering wheel of the car. A bit better, but not really. Read more Collapse

10,000 km tyres do not show signs of wear. The car is as rough as possible (190 km) with front-wheel drive. They do not lose their grip on dry surfaces, and on wet you need to "try" a bit. Tire size 235/45 r 17 + suspension s-line (Audi) a little harder than standard. In comparison with the Ultrac Sessanta Vredestein, Falken performs better. I recommend it to the most demanding users. The biggest plus, however, is the price :) Read more Collapse

I have driven enough on this tire. They drain the water in the same way as Nexen N6000 205/40/17 which I have on another car. On the dry surface, Falken works very well and I can be sure of my car in the rain. Driving comfort is good. After all, Mazda 6 GH which is equipped with these tyres and has a fairly hard suspension so the assessment of this issue is not up to me. Read more Collapse

I hit August defective parts 4-ry, they could not be balanced at a speed of 110 130 km / h on the beating oczuwalne wheel + bang. The problem has persisted above 140 kilometers per hour speed I therefore 110km speed tire / h Very strong change very oczuwalna surface (ie roughness of the asphalt). I have a third season Pirelli P7 is poząbkowały, so will no longer be silent. Falkeny of them, however, are much stronger. Tire rigid and do not choose inequality. But thanks to lead to dry at higher speeds - to recommend. Wet - on average, worse than the Pirelli P7. In general, I would not recommend. Pay more and watch something better. Read more Collapse

Tires purchased suggesting that opinions. I was looking for tires as a quiet and comfortable but unfortunately disappoint. At a speed of about 80 km / h and then from 110 kmh start making noise (hum - a sound like an airplane taking off), in addition to vibrate and resonate long car while driving at a constant speed. 200-300 km of road ends with a headache and really tiring. The old winter tyres and summer turanzach was much quieter. Based on new wheels, about 1000 km, twice were balanced, stiff suspension, no game Would organize and get - nothing. I give to the complaint. Read more Collapse

In general, the mixed-use evaluation with your family on vacation, etc. These Falkeny better than even Nokian, Michelin, Bridgestone and Pirelli. They must be dilapidate must frame its first kilometers are hard as those of the upper class. Go ahead and boldly in the wet and in the ruts on dry no reserves.
