Bridgestone Potenza S001

I have Bridgestone Potenza S001 by an accident to be honest but I do not regret at all. I used to have some other premium class tyre models but after this one I'm Bridgestone fan. This tyre has a very rigid sidewall which makes it very stable and hard to move out from the traction. I think that is the biggest advantage. Doesn't matter how cold it is this tyre performs as usually - remember that it is summer model which makes it quite impressive. I'm not able to make any opinion about external noise becouse I have pretty loud exhaust in my car. I like to drive aggressively and sometimes it happens that I do some drift on the curves but tread doesn't disappear immediately. Quite durable and strong tyre. Tyres fitted on my Seat Leon. I like to drive aggressively and have some fun with speeding. Bridgestone Potenza S001 can handle even the most difficult maneuvers and lets the driver to 'feel' the vehicle which is crucial when it comes to something more than normal everyday driving. Wet and dry grip is excellent. Fuel consumption is on a good level as well. I have seen some opinions that they are noisy but I can not agree personally. It is my first Bridgestone set. I used to have differend tyre brands even from premium class but I have to say that this model is the best for me so far. I can recommend these tyres for everyone without any doubt. Bought these for my work horse caddy 1.9 200bhp it's a van not a race car 😂 but iv had my fair share of crap tyres... So splashed out the cash for these I have to say I am impressed so far van is lowerd and I do drive it fairly hard tbh.... These tyres handle brilliantly in the dry as you would expect but what supprised me was in the wet most reviews on these tyres alot of people say there poor in the wet I haven't seen that I'd say there very very good in the wet.. Very low road noise and very comfortable considering the van is lowerd on coils.... As for wear to early to tell yet. They look nice very chunky looking tyre and a nice design.... Perfect tyres. Really durable what is quite important. I used them on low quality roads often and evertyhing is fine. Very easy to fit on the vehicle and later easy to take care about them. All what needs to bo checked is pressure level but I never had a situation when it was hihgly to low. Of course tread has to be under control but I have these tyres on my car already second season and they look good still. When I will have to change tyres set for a new one I will go for Bridgestone Potenza S001 if possible or for different Bridgestone model. Perfect for everyday use and for every driver in my opinion. I decided to purchase Bridgestone Potenza S001 after the advice from the friend of mine. It was realy good choice and I have nothing to regret. I didn't drive on them too much yet, just about 1800 miles but I can say without any doubt that it was not a mistake to buy them. Ideally keeps the vehicle on the road and it doesn't matter from the weather conditions. One of the best tyre models I ever had. I used them several times on the race track and nothing wrong actually happend with them which is quite impressive. Obviously after some time some signs of wear can be noticed but it is completely normal. Especially if tyres are fitted on the sport car and used in that way. Braking and driving comfort are perfect. I bought this tyre because it is a Bridgestone and I knew that the tyre will be PREMIUM. I am very happy, the tyre is perfectly quiet, at a speed of 85 mph, you can normally talk in the car. When it comes to burning it seems to me that about 0.5l / 62 miles is less. And riding in the rain is just great, the car sticks to the road. I have these tyres in size 225/45 R17, the Golf GTI 200 hp. I have mixed feelings about them. On a dry turn is usually OK, except for a sudden start, when you break and ESP, crazy because car dances, and a strong acceleration - the ESP needs to work hard. On wet these two phenomena behive 100 times normal, silent ride is stable, but I have no confidence on these tyres. The tyres behave as a premium class, they are quite quiet, they provide very good contact and adhesion with the ground, have a large margin of safety, are suitable for both sports and relaxation / economic driving. Tyre was fitted on the car I bought. I decided to exchange them for others, but after 2 weeks of driving returned to the Bridgestones. When they get off I'll buy a completely new one. I drove a lot in hard conditions, although I did not even had an advise on that. I can only imagine how much it perseveres. Driving, braking distance and noise are fine. No durability, although it seemed to me that it'll be hard. Front axle after one season to be changed, back half-off, distance about 6200 miles. New suspension and adjustment of convergence before replacing these tyres. Use in mountainous terrain and on German and Polish highways. After the winter season Dunlop can not see any wear. A tyre worth recommending - it does not break too much grip when starting off quickly (SEAT LEON 150HP front drive). The tyre parameters are similar to the once used Potenza R50E. Dry surface OK. Excellent maneuverability, great on dry, wet. Slightly humming at 50kmh, above / below this speed is silent. Perfect grip. Used mainly outside the city, I covered 10,000 km on it this season, trips to the mountains, a holiday trip to Croatia, tight turns on the local islands, thanks to which I was able to exploit them a bit. These were replaced like for like and recommended by BMW so I have no reference for comparison, they do the job they are meant to. The run-flat combined with the M Sport setup do give quite a hard ride, potholes!! but this was expected. All in all, so far, I have had no problems with these tyres. Read more Collapse

Audi web site is less expensive than the Audi garage. They took two months to have them available for me. Oponeo had them delivered to me in only a few days and was cheaper. Medium-quality HP tyre. It does everything on average, definitely in this size it does the worst on wet surfaces, despite the quattro drive. I recommend it to people buying new tyres who do not want to overpay, but want to get a solid tyre at a decent price. Read more Collapse

These tires work very well in s55 AMG. Grip is superb in the wet and dry. A bit noisy, but not too much. The tires are fast enough, but it is a combination of RWD and powerful engine. Driven 8k miles and 4 mm of tread left. Read more Collapse
