Maxxis M6029

Never really thought about using Maxxis Tires until I saw them in use in the Isle of Man. The rider was impressed by them. Back on the mainland, I tried a pair on a Suzuki and was impressed. I use them for a range of bikes. Generally adhesion is excellent; wet grip too. I tend to get about 4000 miles on the back and front. A rider 'soft' road would probably be around 6,000 to 8,000 miles a back. Considering the price, they are a great buy. Covered 4000 miles (6400km) so far. Front tyre still like new, rear tyre has 3mm of tread remaining. The bike is a ZZR1100 and I often ride with a pillion + luggage. Wear rate for the rear tyre is a bit more than some 'premium' brands like Metzeler, Bridgestone and Michelin. This is offset by the low cost of the Maxxis. Wear rate for the front tyre is very low. It looks like I will wear out at least two rears to one front. No issues with grip/handling in wet or dry conditions. Read more Collapse

I bought these tires because I did not have enough money to buy brand for 1200 zł, and I need a change of 5 years, bought the FZ6 cracked rubber. Tires generally recommend that people traveling safely and drought. Wet is not the best. Perhaps it is a question of confidence in the tires ... Anyway, now I change to a decent travel, although Maxxisy are still plenty of tread and no problem will still climb than 10 000 6000 km. Read more Collapse

Well, they behave on the road, although sticky, even in the wet. Of course, neither the air does not remove pilot error. But the calm is impossible to go very aggressive and strongly folded. Not soon after they were fitted I rode in rather wet conditions in the heart of Wales. They did the job, but I did not trust in them as I did in my previous GT angel, but now they are cleaned and tuned, I can not find fault? Costing much less if I think they are well worth the money and clothes perfect for my needs, although the jury is still out on the longevity. Read more Collapse

Very surprised by these tires i have tried most of the brands and for the price they are excellent value very good wet grip and dry grip could be a little better, but not bad got about 5000 mile 5mm rear was always left on the front so good to wear just going to replace the rear i have used the diamond version of these tires these are better in my opinion much feel them. A good tire for the price can not be beaten, you must know that I speak of a passenger tire on a very fast motorcycle aggressive listening. Maxxis do two tires beyond the performance of those I'll try next. The only downside is that they dish off in the middle, I guess it's a single tire compound, although I have not checked. Used this tyre on a 1300 cc motorcycle for just over 5000 km's now,very impressed,still plenty of tread left.Only minor quibble,rear takes a little while to heat up,tends to move about very slightly for first couple of km's of a ride,but nothing serious.Will definatley use these tyres again,very happy with them. I bought them as a budget option, but the result was excellent, gave me a very good response in driving high speeds and normal wear was progresibo and homogeneous, outside the gum is duravilidad really kilometers I gave over 13,000 km, I will repeat for sure! Read more Collapse

The tires look great, but I've not yet mounted on the motorcycle were looking for my wife who has been treated for cancer and was pretty bad, but hopefully will be able to get the cracking on fixing the bike some time next year Read more Collapse

These tires give the bike a much better feel than the old Bridgestones they replaced. You feel much more confident and can push the front end is much more difficult, the response speed is very good for a sport / touring tire Read more Collapse
