Overall, not a bad performer. Lasts very well, I 6000mls them and tread not even show half worn. dry adhesion is acceptable on asphalt, corners well and some pretty impressive tilt angles for this type of tread. Off road it just carried, much like a compromise, it will never be as good as a full knobbly, or as aa road tire on Tarmac so he had to be a little give and take. The only bad performance on wet roads, it is a bit slippery bugger! Real care is needed, gives very little confidence in the wet and lets through quite easily. I run these on a tiger 800 xc, so a middle of the road bike, not too heavy and not make horse loads but enough. I think as a summer tire, it would be acceptable, but as we head towards winter, they can be a handful. The compound is hard and does not flex very easily. For example, I took a rear puncture and even though I knew he was there, the stiffness of the tire sidewall allowed me to limp home to repair myself. I bought these tyres on recommendations from friends I use the bike 50/50 on off road . Straight away I was impressed with their road manners both wet and dry roads . off road they have made things easier ie. more grip all in all a great tyre for what I want to use my bike for . On asphalt never gives cornering on dirt need to be careful in the wet grass and undergrowth in winter, do not be a pure tessellated has some limitations, but it is a good compromise Read more Collapse
