Nokian

Nokian-Lamele

The Nokian WR D3 is a winter tyre that performs exceptionally well in extreme weather conditions. It has been created by the Finnish company Nokia Tyres, which specialises in tyres designed for this time of year. The model features a directional tread pattern with grooves shaped so as to help quickly and effectively disperse water, mud and snow from under the wheels. This all means that driving on Nokian WR D3 tyres is exceptionally safe, whatever the weather.

Nokian-Rowki

The model is made from an innovative compound noted for its excellent flexibility at low temperatures. The tyre therefore has an increased contact area with the ground, resulting in better grip. The compound used to make the tyre is also very durable and lighter than traditional compounds. The designers have therefore managed to decrease rolling resistance in the Nokian WR D3, which in turn reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

Nokian-bieznik

Reduced fuel consumption and the extended service life of the tyre mean that the Nokian WR D3 is very economical to run. The model also features an optimum distribution of forces within the tyre. This means that the tread wears slowly and drivers can enjoy the full range of performance features of the Nokian WR D3 for its entire lifetime, without having to worry about a gradual loss of grip or a deterioration in performance. The Nokian WR D3 is the ideal solution for drivers who like to feel safe and secure behind the wheel, even in severe winter conditions, and who are looking for an uncompromising performance and short braking distances.

Nokian Tyres is an independent Finnish tyre manufacture. The company is particularly renowned for its winter tyres, which perform very well in extreme conditions. It has been designed for the demanding Scandinavian weather, which is why it also handles European conditions extremely well. The Nokian Tyres production lines produce tyres for passenger cars, agricultural machinery, bicycles, vans, lorries and tyres intended for specialist industrial and forestry machinery. The company's production plants are located in Finland and Russia.

A serious tyre, I am living in Ireland and have a 100 mile round trip commute on country roads and motorway. The back roads go untreated all winter. I first tried Nokian tyres on my old Merc 190E, the WRA3 were a super tyre even in heavy snow in an old rear wheel drive car. I am running these WRD3 on my wifes Citroen C3 hdi, I had a 2005 Subaru Outback that had them as well. The Citroen really holds the road fantasically well in all conditions. We run winter tyres all year round on both our cars as the heavy rain we get here can only be displaced safely at motorway speeds by a good quality winter tyre. In frost and snow these tyres are superb, so good in fact that now my wife is off on maternity leave if it is very icy or snowy I will use the Citroen for my commute as I know it will literally go anywhere. I have Hankook Winter ICept Evo on my 2002 Audi A4 Avant 130 TDI, I couldn't fincially stretch to the Nokians when I was buying tyres for my car, in hindsight I should have spent the extra €150 as I have little faith in the Hankook's, they are good in heavy rain and when the tempetature in below 7deg but nothing like the quality of the Nokian WRD3's. So far we have put 20,0000 km's up on our current tyres, the wear is excellent but I maybe could have rotated them sooner, the front show significantly more wear than the rear so I will run them until October 2015 then replace them, rather than cheap out and have the better ones on the front and an average pair on the rear. Incidently in summer I raise the pressure up to 42psi to reduce wear, now its winter I'm running them at 32psi. I will change my Hankooks in October 2015 for a set of Nokians that I will have more faith in. Tyres can be costly but they are the only thing seperating us from the road, people in Ireland think I am mad running winter tyres and have no real idea what they are but given our low winter temps and heavy rainfalls coupled with untreated, poorly maintained back roads they make perfect sense. Opinion from outside IE

I am rating Nokian WR D3 tyres in size 185/60/14 82T Russian production. In its opinion, I will only refer to other winter tires was help, and were Goodyear UltraGrip 6, Fulda Kristall Montero, Kleber and BFGoodrich Winter Krisalp HP GForce. I selected this tyre due to the evaluation of users, the price and the fact that in the tested was assessed as a versatile tyre, and for me the most anxious. Upon receipt of the email tyres has certainly disappointed their appearance. Definitely do not look to the premium class. 2 of 4 tires occurred bosses, just above the lettering and the surface of the contact rim. It is a big drawback. There were no problems with balance. The tyre of the quietest not part. It is certainly quieter than Goodyear, but stronger than Kleber and BFGoodrich I need 2 cars. Braking, steering, handling on both wet and dry conditions very well in order, and best of all the tires we had. In this regard, I cannot fault this tyre. Perhaps in the continental test it out better, but the objectivity of the tests being what it is. In addition, the road is not a test track and the differences of 0.5 or 1 m for the average user are virtually imperceptible. Very good also removes inequality. I can confidently recommend Nokian WR D3 tyre, even those who drive very aggressively. The tyre is predictable, well, you can feel when his grip ends. For the price, I am very happy. For me, competing with Goodyear and Continental performance tire for less money, but slightly worse executed. If someone depends on making the best quality / durability / price, this would be a good choice. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I bought a set of Nokian WR D3 tyres and just after they were released, before there was criticism. I was very happy with them. My previous set of summer tyres wore out last year and been using them all year. They have very soft sidewalls, I do not know why some people say they are stiff. They are comfortable and relatively quiet. The wet grip is not particularly great, but I’ve had much worse on wet tyres like Michelin Energy on that car. They are much better than Goodyear Eagle F1 in the wet below 7C! The dry grip is reasonable. They work very well in summer without wearing badly. they are perfect in winter. they surprisingly low rolling resistance, a little lower than my old Michelin Energy! The tread in Nokian WR D3 is also very good. I’ve use them all year round in the UK today, they are OK in the summer, when the tires were much better traction anyway, and very good in the winter when things tend to be more slippery. I bought Nokian WR D3 tyres after many hours of analysis on the Internet and I'm very satisfied with them. I often travel to different palces so I have to deal with driving in various conditions. The tyres perform great on every surface and in all weather conditions. I think they are fantastic winter tyres, definitely recommendable. They are simply sensational on snow. My previous tyres lost grip in the rain on wet surfaces, but with Nokians I do not have such problems. I think that the noise level is also low, especially for winter tyres . I highly recommend them to all drivers who want to feel safe while driving. The price is also reasonable. If you put the safety of your family on the first place then you can stop wondering and buy them right now – I guarantee it’s a good choice. If someone asks me in the future what winter tyres I recommended this for sure will be Nokian WR D3. Read more Collapse

When buying tyres Nokian WR D3 I was inquisitively looking for information about them and I was reading the opinions of other drivers to find out whether the tyres are worth buying . When I finally decided to buy these tyres, I waited for a long time before I put my own opinion as I wanted it to be sincere and true. Now I can honestly say I do not regret my choice and I am very satisfied with the tyres. They are great on any surfaces, and I tested them on dry and wet surfaces as well as on snow and ice. Moreover, their big advantages are great resistance to damage and attrition. Some drivers may wonder if they should buy Nokians which are not so well-known and I understand that because I was also wondering and making my little research, however, they are not worse than other tyres of the upmarket brands!! In short, they are worth recommending. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

Actually .... Nokian WR D3 are very soft tyres with standard pressure (2.2 in my car, with 2.4 it was already good) behaviour on the wet ground could be a little better. Tyres behave quite well on dry ground, but let’s be honest and do not require the winter tire has qualities of a summer tire on dry ground. With regard to winter conditions, unfortunately, I have not yet seen the comportment Nokian WR D3 on snow therefore difficult to assess. By cons there already await some ice here and I found that if someone is looking for winter tires for really difficult conditions I can honestly recommend Nokian WR D3. If someone wants to buy a tyre for all types of road conditions, it may be disappointed but if you want something Nokian allowing you to ride safely in winter, you will surely be satisfied. These tyres are really worth the price! The most important thing to me is that thanks to them I haven't had any problems with the slides. On the previous tyres I slipped on the snow, not to mention on the ice, but this winter I could be completely calm. The grip is just superb! Very small tread wear, almost imperceptible. When it comes to driving comfort I am also delighted. On dry or wet surfaces the drive is pleasant and comfortable. Buying Nokian WR D3 tyres was certainly one of my best decisions. In conclusion, a lot of meaningful advantages. As for the drawbacks, there are certainly some, however, I personally did not see anything that would be a problem for me. I recommend these tyres with a clear conscience because when it comes to quality and safety they are sensational. Read more Collapse

As soon as I bought Nokian WR D3 tyres I immediately began to test them. I use these tyres in my BMW E46. The car itself provides me with great comfort but thanks to these tyres driving is simply pleasure! The tyres perform excellent on snow. I’ve tested them in different situations and there were never any problems with the loss of grip. There were no surprises during driving. I mean there were no tyre slips, no problems on turns or with braking. I was positively surprised with them! The noise level is also low. To sum up, those are very good and quiet tyres I would recommend to everyone. They are definitely the best winter tyres I’ve ever had!! I really recommend buying Nokian WR D3 if you want to purchase a product of good quality and with reasonable price. Read more Collapse

I highly recommend Nokian WR D3! Definitely a very good value compared prices keeps very well the surface, goes like clockwork. Good drainage in the wet tyre holding. I did not expect it so be exercised, but both wet and dry conditions (winter this year is sprinkled too much snow so I can assess that driving on dry pavement cannot be blamed). You do not see signs of wear. I did not notice that my car burn more fuel than previously (mounted Michelins ). I agree that you sell tires with greater capacity and performance, but are far too expensive and largely inaccessible to all. If today I had to buy new winter tyres are certainly choose Nokia because of their good quality but affordable price. Read more Collapse

Before I decided to buy Nokian WR D3 tyres I was searching for the information about them for quite a long time. I've made my decision on the basis of assessments and tests placed on the Internet. Eventually, I consider it to be a very good buy. I had no problems with them during the whole winter season. Very comfortable driving, no problems even when driving on mud, and excellent braking distance. A year ago I had to take some tools with me, mostly a shovel, but this year I had no problems and it's all because of buying Nokian tyres. They allowed me to be calm and relaxed during driving. I would recommend them to undecided drivers for the next season. Read more Collapse

Hi, I have these Nokian WR D3 tyres since the beginning of this winter. I decided in August to buy them because I had previously Debica Frigo 2 and time lost its driveability, so I wanted to buy something better, if only attacked the winter began to test and discovered that a very large snow tyre behaves like Dębica fridge 2. Nokian WR D3 surprised me very positively with heavy rains, as it is very easy to hold the road and the emergency brake the car stops immediately when it comes to crushing ice tyres in my opinion. Today, when brother bought tyres form local fitting station learned that, unfortunately, my tires ARE MADE IN RUSSIA not in FINLAND. Read more Collapse

I have been using Nokian WR D3 on my BMW 318ti first winter. Previous years I was using Bridgestone Blizzak LM25. Nokian has better grip on ice and compacted snow than Blizzaks. Most of my driving is on local roads, up and down in Leinster hills, Ireland. So far I have been able to keep up with all 4x4 drivers on these roads and in bends where they slide off, I've had no problems. Read more Collapse

I return with an opinion on these tires after testing under typical winter conditions. My ratings regarding the size 185/60/14. The tires produced in Russia. On the fresh snow. Both start-off and braking without reservation. ABS understands very late. Keep on slush and snow also very good. After the intentional introduction of skidding the car feeling as soft tire slip catches. Limit very predictable grip - easy to detect. Braking on wet roads usually falls slightly worse. On a dry road and unskilled. Very cool removes inequality. With defects in this noise and of average quality. Premium class type and tire lugs are ugly. I drove once branded tires Platin German budget and they were better executed. But these are defects that do not directly affect the security so that you can live with them. When it comes to driving parameters I think it is a very good tire at a good price. So far I've used winter tires Fulda Kristall Montero, Goodyear UltraGrip 7, and HP Krisalp Kleber BF Goodrich Winter GFrorce. Nokian tires is definitely the best with what I was talking about. During installation there was no problem with balancing. Have weight max. 10g, while not confirmed, supposedly Nokia Russia had problems with balancing. I highly recommend! Read more Collapse

I bought the tires mentioned above from my wife, driving cautiously, especially in winter, only around the area. After 5 months and about 2-3 thousand kilometers, during the transition to summer tires in the workshop, 3 bulges were found on the lateral side of the front, left tire. After the complaint, it was declared that the tire is only weakly exploited. As I understand it badly, because on the Polish roads. Oponeo has proposed an ecological use. I think this is a key proposition, because when it comes to cheap waste, it is worthwhile to suggest a use in harmony with the natural environment. To sum up the Nokian tires I can not buy more and I do not recommend it to anyone unless I buy for an environmentally friendly disposal. Cordially. Read more Collapse

I bought these tires at the instigation of the shop staff (I wanted to buy another company, but the employee was able to convince me Nokian), and no regrets. Although winter was not great, but a couple of days with snow ice / frozen on the road gave an image. In a word - surprisingly good image. I'm used to the fact that a certain section of the road to work with the winter just is ice and cars slips away. This time my right a little and "controlled" in a rather slipped. Another time, under similar conditions, I was surprised that the ABS does not work (and the car normally inhibited). Of course, we are talking about new tires properly inflated after the first hundred kilometers. Read more Collapse

I bought these tires because it was recommended to me by a friend who uses himself in his wife's car. And I know that his wife is an aggressive driver and gave rise to the use since I stopped complaining to join the ABS. Tire low temperature is mild and quiet performs well in snow and selects inequality. An additional advantage is a beautiful appearance and not, as in the case of a top part resembles the tire bierznik drabiniastym car. I know that in terms of wlasnoscu Utilities but the appearance is as important and assumptions are not urban elegant toy cars tires pint Fiat. I recommend the cars they drive women. I bought two sets of Nokian WR D3. Unfortunately, a set - landed on the parties or of poor quality or improperly stored tires. Tires are jumping on the balancer. It feels vibration at 50, 100 and 110 km / h. Balancing is ok. The second series without reservation. The only drawback is the wet braking at high speeds. Tires bit stream and become dangerous. But just when you need a little rain slow to winter tires. Good tires. Oponeo any of the reports that are produced in Russia. Attending these reviews on the internet, so Nokia but not produced in the east. I have years of Made in Finland and they are sensational. Read more Collapse

Nokian WR D3 recommends tires are really high end and affordable. Super Grip on all surfaces, snow and slush behave almost perfectly. Previously, I was with Michelin tires, but they were not as great as Nokian. Personally, I would advise anyone to buy Nokian tires companies because they are perfect for winter conditions. Moreover, these are Finnish tire and you can tell that the Finns on winter tires, they know best. We recommend and encourage you to buy those that stumble on their purchase. In the end, I will add that the fuel consumption of these tires is much lower than the previously used Michelinach Read more Collapse

205/55R16 tires mounted on e46 320d Touring. They have very soft edges to monistic that's my impression. Usually I drive I will quickly and aggressively. In curves bowed very automatic. I also had the pleasure (and perhaps not been fun) to run with the speed of 170 km - with tires - the car then tramblait. The problem does not exist or with summer tires, or tires with my previous winter. Starting and braking ok. I have not driven on snow. But the behavior of dry soil estau less strange. Car looks great, but does not lose traction. Impressions of driving are weird, so I do not recommend it. Read more Collapse

I have a small urban autko, recently bought the Polish salon. I wanted to choose tires that offer comfort and safety - I think that's the right choice. Tires good foot drive. Season "winter" was very varied - some days of bitter cold, snow, rain - the weather does not help the drivers and the tires do not disappoint me in the winter in all weather conditions. Performed well with mud pośniegowym does not slip. Now, in the waiting garage for the new season - in very good condition. To buy a friend encouraged me, so I recommend you also - not just friends - Functional Nokia. :) Read more Collapse

I drove about 1000 km on the Nokianach recently purchased. The lack of snow, if the assessment covers only dry and wet surface after a rain. For dry hair: well maintained, inhibition stable at high speeds, but (as with winter tires), the road a little longer. No sound, even silence on board. A very big plus, low noise. Cornering at higher speeds does not swim. On a wet, quietly taking the road. Meanwhile the snow tread rubber quality gives hope for good results. (5 credit evaluation). Ok after the first snow :) The price to quality ratio is phenomenal. Recommend Read more Collapse

Welcome. This is my second set of NOKIANÓW recently had the AUDI A8 225 HP drive four-wheel drive and a great exercise, he decided that the second time I purchased tires of the brand and of course be disappointed. Before buying Michelin (soft rubber), not saying they are bad tires, but a price much more expensive, so why pay more than you can for a reasonable price to have a true winter tires. The tire performs well on both snow and water, mud, slush as a matter of how fast we drive, and if we ABS. Nokian for me, it is a reasonable choice yet affordable! Read more Collapse

I drove two weeks my wife for a month and I do not recommend it. This is the last time I buy Nokian. Auto floats gently from right to left with greater speed and curves, even at 115 km (Focus 1.8 TDCI), it can also lose grip a wet surface. Driving much less certain than summer tires. I've been driving for 15 years and I don 'have never felt such a difference - it was better Debica Frigo. Maybe the tires are good on snow, but already I fear what will happen when it starts to rain (still dry). This is certainly not for the city of Tyre. Read more Collapse

Very interesting tires perform very well in the cold of snow and hardened on dry ice and excellent stretch. I have not noticed any major problems, auto on such surfaces is performed safely and without stitching, no understeer in fast and sharp curves. The only drawback is a weak grip on slush, it should facilitate the gas and go quietly in the corners. Overall, very good tires, compared to the previous DEBICA Frigo, the difference is very sensitive. What is interesting are much quieter than the tires that I used before. RECOMMENDED! Ordered these winter tires a few days before Christmas, delivered a few days later. incredible good service. Super. I use them in Scandinavia during really heavy snowfall. Traditionally studded tires are used in winter was therefore interesting to try winter tires without spikes. Very impressive on the snow. Struggled on the ice. For conditions in the UK are an excellent winter tire. Can attack the snow without problem. Never having to drive on the solid ice in the UK, should be fine with ice conditions with sensitive behavior. Read more Collapse

In this price range an excellent choice - winter tires Dunlop precedents - the better balanced and better bends and curves in the road at high speed. For normal use in winter is very positive. I feel that they could not be perfectly balanced - slight vibrations occur in the vicinity of 110 to 120 km / h. The tragedy is not, but it is not pleasant. It is true that the winter was not good, but in the mountains where I live a few times we had the opportunity to experience different conditions. The tire has lost once full grip, but he was on full ice. As the mud ice and wet snow moving, stopping and driving itself takes place in full control. Calm. Do not wear too. Combustion lower than in the summer for the price, it's great. before there was much more expensive Bridgestone Blizzak and Nokia are doing well. Read more Collapse

For the first thousand kilometers the tire stick to the road like they were covered with glue (in my opinion a very soft outer layer). Then, "everything is back to normal," ;-). When it comes to driving in snow, especially uphill, I'm surprised more firmly. Really excellent traction and zero-go traffic problems. After the season tires look like they have traveled more than in reality, but given the purchase price and the tire properties - I recommend. Read more Collapse

I am very happy with the selection and purchase of Nokian WR D3. It is true that the winter this year it is, but the few times where I could choose to ski, where road conditions are typical for this time of year. Tires have proven to 6, zero problems with entries on both icy roads and fresh snow loose. When it comes to keeping in the corners - great. Also the so-called. slush tire works very well. My mind has definitely made the right choice and I am very happy. Read more Collapse

Tires are performing perfectly. For highlights undoubtedly include low rolling resistance, short stop and secure and predictable capacity to carry car distances. Used car VW Sharan 1.9 TDI 115 km and has not been unpredictable situation with these tires. With a clear conscience I can recommend these tires to drivers who value security and economy (low rolling resistance and short braking distances) are unquestionably those tires. That uses this size: 195/65R15. Read more Collapse

Hello. The tires used in all road conditions. They very well. The harder the conditions, the better. I deliberately chose the index since the previous XL Vredestein Snowtrack 3 had a standard load capacity of the above turn the car wheel gwałtownejszych shone in the swing. Greater stability and better tires for difficult conditions. Vredestein recommend odśnieżone road is more comfortable, "elegant" Nokian more aggressive and not afraid of the snow. Read more Collapse

Compared with the Dunlop Winter Sport 4D which I used in the previous season are great tires. Firstly, quieter waiting more comfortable on the road in August and better cornering and choose inequality. Dunlopy tend to experience the climb on the ground at higher speeds, was more difficult and much stronger. Nokia in my subjective winter really successful in all road conditions tires sentiment. In this beautifully furnished in equilibrium. I recommend to all. Read more Collapse

I bought this tire in February .. I ride most of the tracks and some in the city. Tires run well on any surface. Tires good suspension support and shock absorption participate inequality. Tire quickly of work inspires confidence, but they should not be in charge, especially on the corners curves. The tire holds up well when traveling in a straight line, when we are able to break the grip in corners, but what a beautiful fast as "taken" again. Read more Collapse
