Kumho KU39

Kumho KU39 is a mid-range summer tyre designed for passenger cars. It will be a good match for daily driving and long routes driving. This tyre has been equipped with an asymmetrical tread which consist of two separate parts; each of these parts is responsible for different performances. It provides a proper driving action on the road surfaces of different types. Wide grooves drive the water out of tyre surfaces smoothly which decreases the risk of aquaplaning. In addition , the smooth dying of the tread provides better grip and greater driving stability - no matter what the weather conditions we drive in.

The designers of this tyre took a good care for acoustic convenience both of drivers and passengers. All due to optimized design and rigid tread bricks, this tyre suppresses the noise emitted by rotating tyres, which results in a smooth and quiet driving. Kumho KU39 has been based on a modern rubber compound which contains silica. It brings about the proper elasticity in low and high temperatures and it also improves the resistance to any mechanical damage, e.g. rubbing at the curb. Thanks to reduced weight of the tyre the resistance of rotation has been decreased. As a result, the user will be keen on lower level of fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emission. This model is the best match for drivers who are expecting durability, reliability and well-balanced performance on any type of road surface.

Kumho

Kumho is a South-Korean brand which specializes in the manufacturing of mid-range tyres. It also features the best price-to-quality ratio, safety and great driving comfort. Due to tyre properties, the products of Kumho are acclaimed among the drivers who select their car equipment for the first time. This company has been providing their products since 1960.

I already have about 8 pairs of tyres. I do not like to compare brands so I will evaluate them as a demanding driver who like aggressive driving. I have Kumho tyres in 235/35/19 size and I can say that: tyres pereform excellent In the wet conditio, even in heavy rain. They drains the wather quickly so you do not need to slow down. Braking distance on a wet surface is also quite good, I cant complain. he tyres generate definitely a lower noise than my previous witer tyres. Regarding to dry condition the tyres stick to the road very good. I drive quite cautiously, so I couldn’t see how it behives in the controlled slip, but I can certainly say that the grip on the road is great and the suppression of inequality too., However, I would like to write a little bit about their durability. I have changed them after 14000 miles and I will be happy to mount them back on my car next season. The rolling resistance is low, which has a positive influence on a fuel consumption.I really like those tyres because there is no other in the market that quality price that offers similar label parameters (true and proven) for such a low price. Another positive thing it is how Oponeo shop works It the site was very friendly when I called to custommer service i have recived all information about the product in a short time. I do recommend those tyres to everone! Read more Collapse

I would say that this is a mid range tyre, its not top of the range but personally it performs just as good if not better than some at the topoint of the range (Continental Sport Contact) The ride quality seems to be very good given these tyres are fairly low profile and coupled with sports suspension you can espect some discomfort on rougher roads but it's not the least bit unbearable. The tyres perform well in all conditions aside from snow which I have not had the chance to drive them but I will have by then switched over to winter tyres. They grip perform flawlessly on dry tarmac and very well in heavy rain, wind and even sleet, the same can be said when braking harshly, they do not seem to loose any grip, wet or dry, taking corners at speed wet or dry doesn't seem to bother them either. I work in mobile Security ND I'm covering anything up to 500 miles per week, they tyres do not seem to have lost very much in tread but I do have my vehicle tracking and balance checked regularly (2-3 months) They look very nice and sporty and they clean up well using Autglym Tyre Dressing. All in all I would highly recommend these to anyone, they are fairly cheap I think I paid around £60 per tyre. They look good they perform excellently can't go wrong with Kumho, will most likely buy the same again. Read more Collapse

I bought those tyres because back when I had VW Polo they were great. So now for my Audi A4 I went with the same choice. My car is on low suspension and I drive aggressively, especially on highways. My speed often exceeds 200km/h but it isn’t a problem. I have experienced literally none negative impressions, and that goes for a wet road to. Kumho KU39 got a great grip on curves. Aquaplaning… no sign of it! Generated nois is fine by me. Similar to Continental, Bridgestone or any other top-notch brand. As for the tread wear, I have been driving on them since 2014 and from that time only about 1 millimeter of tread wore out, and about 0.5 millimeters on the sides. As for suppression on uneven roads, well you don’t expect much of it on the tyres with a profile of 40. But they behave great, even on Polish roads, which are like Swiss cheese. They don’t have any bruising or tears. I recommend Kumho KU39. Read more Collapse

My tyres are for 19" wheels on a heavy well powered BMW so I cannot afford to put anything other than high performance tyres on the car. High Performance high brand name tyres in 245 and 275 are going to be ridiculously expensive. Kumho however provide the high level of performance required at low to mid level pricing which is what I or anyone should want I think anyway. I have now bought 9 Kumho tyres 5 for my BMW and 4 for my Toyota MR2. The MR2 had a cheaper tyre on it that was all over the place partcularly in the wet. The KUMHO has fixed that problem entirely. Kumho the guy that fitted them for me said Kumho are the best kept secret in the tyre business. Read more Collapse

Kumho KU39 are excellent tyres for an excellent price. Before, I had Bridgestone Turanza’s with reinforced shoulder and I can compare both of those models. Bridgestone’s were more accurate and I felt a direct connection between the car and the road. Kumho’s are a little soft-er and I do not have such impressions, but they run well. The grip on them is great, no matter the situation. Well, maybe apart from extreme conditions, like snow or ice. They have little control in the slush. It is obvious, though, as Kumho KU39 are summer tyres. Summing up, the rubber is more than good. I would recommend it. Read more Collapse

For the price these tyres are incredibly hard to fault. My car use to understeer frequently in the rain and stopping distances became a concern. Looking at wet grip rating for these tyres sold them to me and they have delivered. I feel incredibly safe driving in the rain now especially cornering. They have never let me down and very easy to get to grips with their grip tolerance. They're not the quietest but if your use to cheap tyres, these are much better. I believe Kumho are essentially the same design/tread pattern as last year's Pirellis so save your money and buy these. Read more Collapse

I was very happy with the purchase. After about 5000 miless the tyres have regular consumption and especially good grip on both wet and dry conditions. The tyres are very good for travel. They are safe and they can be used in all weather conditions. . The ABS needs to operate only when you press the breake pedal sharply The tyre very well absorbs irregularities ensuring comfort during the drive. I recommend Kumho tyres to everyone who looking for a good compromise between price and quality. Read more Collapse

Good tyres for a great price! They are quiet and offer a reasonable grip in both wet and dry conditions. The only disadvantage is when I was cornering tight curves fast, I didn’t feel confident, because of the soft sidewall. Although they are perfect for normal driving conditions. I drove 2000 miles on them, and there is a minimum tread wear present. If your driving style is moderate Kumho KU39 are most definitely tyres for you. Read more Collapse

The tyres went through three seasons. The depth of the tread is ok (5mm), but what happened to the rubber, brings associations with 15-year tires. It is dry, has a lot of small cracks, and worst of all, in two tyres (front axle) there are 20 cm cracks along the grooves of the tread, which makes the tyres unusable. The first time I met with such a phenomenon in 4-year tires with a relatively small mileage. Disappointment. Read more Collapse

We bought the car in April '18. We had a mixed set Dunlops on the front and Chinese spurious on the back. The Chinese ones were very dodgy in the wet. The car had too much power for them. The new Kumhos are excellent in dry and wet conditions. It gives us the confidence to drive hard and have some fun with a car that likes to be pushed. If you're in doubt, take a chance - these are excellent tyres for the price. Read more Collapse

I've used this tyretwice now, firstly on a Seat Leon FR and now on the BMW. I had them on my Seat until the legal limit and the grip didn't fade one bit. I really rate it, for the price it's a bargain. After 6K there's no sign of wear on any corner, would buy again and have advised my friends to try them. My only grip is the lack of rim protection, although I'm extremely careful it would be nice to have! Read more Collapse

Kumho is a real candidate to be a premium brand. They are quiet, safe and after using them for quite a time, there is virtually no wear present. I have traveled for around 7000km and wore only a few tenths of a millimeter of tread. The only downside would be a bit unattrac-tive design. I drive moderately on an automatic transmission and have 150hp and Kumho KU39 fit just fine. I recommend them. Read more Collapse

I had these tyres installed when bought the car. Changed 2 fronts only for NCT. there were still 1-2mm left on them. Back tyres are still OK. Very good grip in Wet Weather which is important in Ireland. Good grip on dry surface. Could be noisy on some surfaces but nothing major. However need to slow down before bumps which is expected for low profile tyres. Read more Collapse

I've had 2 sets on the rear and 4 sets on the front, travelled over 70,000 miles. Cornering is precise in the wet, and dry, haven’t noticed any role on the tyre when corning hard, but they are the XL tyres, so the side wall may be stronger as the car weighs 2 ton. I'm pushing 400+bhp through them and they seem fine, stability is good at high speed. Read more Collapse
