Barum Brillantis 2 is a summer tyre, which is the successor to the first generation models developed by the Czech brand. At the same time, it is the most economical of the Barum tyres. Thanks to Barum Belt System technology, the model achieves high mileage with a good level of traction. The big advantage of the tyre is its refinement at the stage of design and manufacturing. The flat outer tread ensures even pressure on the surface, and hence more grip and slower, more even tread wear. As a result, you can enjoy driving on it for a long time and the tyre’s longevity does not lose its quality at any stage.
The advantage of Barum Brillantis 2 is the low rolling noise - it allows for high comfort and provides a real pleasure for driving. An asymmetrical tread pattern is ideal for both dry and wet roads. The continuous lateral grooves and the sipes on the inner tread are excellent for channelling the water away from the tread. This reduces the risk of skidding on wet roads. With this construction of tread, the tyre guarantees a short braking distance and minimises the risk of aquaplaning.
The strong structure makes the Barum Brillantis 2 resistant to mechanical damage and performs very well on different types of surfaces. The model is suitable for passenger, middle class cars, which are used mainly in city traffic.
The Barum brand was created by three Czech companies - Bata, Ruben and Mitas. The name of the company comes from the first letters of their names comes, which today, is the largest tyre manufacturer in the Czech Republic. Barum was founded in 1945 and at the beginning of its existence, had a substantial market share through a combination of the forces of previously well recognised brands. In 1992, the company became a part of the Continental Group , which resulted in financial stability and the development of new technologies. Also during this time, the brand extended its offer of tyres for trucks and agricultural machinery.
